Anyone trying to do 100% Steel Soul keep this in mind, since the endings don't count towards completion you can simply beat the Hollow Knight and end the game when you get to 100%! You don't need to beat Radiance at all!
Yeah and since you only need 100% not 112% you can miss somethings out, like personally I cannot do the traitor lord fight it’s too difficult, that locks out 2% (because of soul vessel fragment locked behind final stage station and also the white ladys king soul charm) But you can miss out whatever you want like for example the trial of the fool for 1% or Grimm
Imagine if the Hunter's Journal did count towards 112%. And you were trying to get 112% in Steel Soul Mode but couldn't because one entry was on Shade. And Shade requires you to die Hi, apparently in Steel Soul and even in regular gameplay the shade entry is already in the journal when you start the game, also: since shade and siblings are different it does not show siblings in the journal until you kill em

I have done pantheon of hollonest with all bindings, and I am very happy that it doesn't give a %, same with Path of Pain, these challenges would lock the true ending away from most players of the game and I just don't think that would be fair on the average gamer, the challenge is there for people like me, but it doesn't lock people away from getting all achievements.

Metrocysh I dunno if your talking about the charms or the respawn, but if its about the respawn, the bench is NOT supposed to respawn you there after u die, so you actually need to complete the whole pantheon in one go.
I legit thought I was done with the game after the first 3 dreamers were defeated. I couldn't even recognize half of the areas and people you were talking about here. Just goes to show how massive the game is.

@@RelyeaGaming i thought that when you go on a bench while holding the delicate flower and when you reload your game it takes you back to the grey mourner bench, that's what happened to me. Also go to hotsprings instead of benches to fill your soul and benches respawn harder enemies
I wanted to add that in the Shrine of believers if you break all the names before going out, the moth that is outside will have a new dialogue that kinda breaks the 4th wall. He says something like "All destroyed, is that a way to honour the ones who believed? Without them you and I wouldn't exist"
The Mister Mushroom quest was super weird, the way he turns around, and keeps talking, almost as if he's talking on the phone. But it was fun trying to figure out that riddle tablet to see where I'd find him next

The most mindblowing thing on your video was the map telling you that you are in Blue Lake when you were at the Black Egg fighting the Hollow Knight. I wonder if it truly is a bug. Left me thinking...
I had a similar thing happen to me. When I looked at the map after being teleported out of the Lifeblood Room in the Abyss It said I was in the path of the tramway.
Fun thing that happened when I was going to Oro with the flower: I was right at the end with the Great Hoppers, I tried to hit them with Shade Soul first but ran out of soul, so I had to attack one. I went in, it jumped, and it was literally on top of me, the sprites were touching at the edges. I attacked it with my nail and it died. If I had attacked a bit later or hadn't attacked it as much already, I would have died right there almost next to Oro's hut.

Remember You can train on problem bosses individually, that's what I did to beat Pure Vessel, put about 50-60 tries in, had some supplementary training on White Defender and Soul Tyrant and I got it in the end!

The last 3 have blown me away honestly. I would have *At the very LEAST* expected beating the game to count towards 112% completion.. As for the last two, like you said, those are very difficult tasks 😅 How? HOW??? How do they not contribute to 112% 😭 In ways, I'm glad because the Path of Pain specifically (that's as far as I've gotten for hard parts) just seems impossible, and I had sorta given up on trying to finish it up.

Relyea It’s OK, it hasn’t grabbed me like Hollow Knight did. It’s fine to play for an hour at a time, after that it gets a bit repetitive. Well worth a look if you can get it on sale. The controls aren’t as sharp as HK, you don’t feel like a gaming god after beating a hard part. I’m making it sound bad but it’s a good game, well made. There’s just something missing that I can’t put my finger on.
Delicate Flower is easy if you clear your route of enemies and don't sit on a bench the entire way so they don't respawn. Did it on my first try that way.
I know this is an old video but there is a cheap way to deliver the delicate flower, simply sit on a bench close by who you want to give it to (dirtmouth for Elderbug or the bench outside Nailmaster Oro's hut) after that go pick up the flower then close the game, you'll be at the last bench you sat on with the flower Edit: there is also a shortcut in city of tears that leads straight to Godseeker, its close to the blacksmith, the way there mostly contains weak enemies, you can also use the bench in city strongholds to your advantage
I quit playing at 102% after learning path of pain didnt go towards my percentage 5 years ago. Recently restarted the game, so naturally came back to all your videos again and seeing this was great to remind myself to never put myself through that again

Really cool video dude. A few things to point out, a lot of the things do give you achievements, but not percentage. Also you missed doing all the bosses on radiant mode doesn't count for 100 percent but you can still do it (it also changes how the void idol looks depending on which level you've done all the bosses on). Finally, doing all the bindings at the same time actually changes the little marker to gold, rather then bronze, but other than that it doesn't do anything else. Again, thanks for the vid, I saw some things on there I haven't done so I guess I'll have to get to work!

I have 111% completion (only need to beat the Pantheon of the Knight aka 4th pantheon and I thought I had thoroughly cleaned out this games map and secrets, yet already the first 3 things in the video I had no idea about. This game just keeps on giving, its so awesome.
If we consider that base game things tend to give 3% and that the DLC stuff gives 6%, the unrelated stuff would give about the same for 100% completion of each of those things if given a percentage. Doing the pantheons with all bindings AT THE SAME TIME would probably net an additional 50% just because you got Pure Binding victories. Also, that was where the Eternal Ordeal was? That's news to me.
of the things listed the one that was strangest to me was the hunters mark. i understand all the ones involving endings because technically the game ends after those and once done you go back to right before you beat it.
Haha I really like the zote part. Actually Hollow Knight have an end? I don't think so, I mean you can complete 112% and that's not all that you can do in game, what a master piece.
To me it makes sense that endings don't give any % because there are multiple endings. Once you complete an ending you load the last save before completing the ending, meaning the ending technically did no longer happen in that save (which makes sense from a story standpoint). So by awarding % for completing an ending would lock you out of full completion in a single "story arc". Also they probably wanted to make 112% achievable for the normal players that dont want to spend 100+ h do complete everything. The reward for doing that is getting all the achievements.

It makes sense that the final fight wouldn’t give you percentage points because it is absolutely required to actually get the completion screen anyways
I bought Shovel Knight to help with Hollow Knight withdrawal symptoms, seems a bit slow.
Not having shadow dash is taking some time to get used to.

Relyea It’s OK, it hasn’t grabbed me like Hollow Knight did.
It’s fine to play for an hour at a time, after that it gets a bit repetitive. Well worth a look if you can get it on sale.
The controls aren’t as sharp as HK, you don’t feel like a gaming god after beating a hard part.
I’m making it sound bad but it’s a good game, well made. There’s just something missing that I can’t put my finger on.

Delicate Flower is easy if you clear your route of enemies and don't sit on a bench the entire way so they don't respawn. Did it on my first try that way.

I know this is an old video but there is a cheap way to deliver the delicate flower, simply sit on a bench close by who you want to give it to (dirtmouth for Elderbug or the bench outside Nailmaster Oro's hut) after that go pick up the flower then close the game, you'll be at the last bench you sat on with the flower
Edit: there is also a shortcut in city of tears that leads straight to Godseeker, its close to the blacksmith, the way there mostly contains weak enemies, you can also use the bench in city strongholds to your advantage

I quit playing at 102% after learning path of pain didnt go towards my percentage 5 years ago. Recently restarted the game, so naturally came back to all your videos again and seeing this was great to remind myself to never put myself through that again

Really cool video dude. A few things to point out, a lot of the things do give you achievements, but not percentage. Also you missed doing all the bosses on radiant mode doesn't count for 100 percent but you can still do it (it also changes how the void idol looks depending on which level you've done all the bosses on). Finally, doing all the bindings at the same time actually changes the little marker to gold, rather then bronze, but other than that it doesn't do anything else. Again, thanks for the vid, I saw some things on there I haven't done so I guess I'll have to get to work!
you are right that there are achievements but not % attached. this video was for the % hunters. DANG I am bummed I missed all bosses radiant is not a thing!
The Pantheon of hallownest should give you 88% boost to the completion IMHO

I have 111% completion (only need to beat the Pantheon of the Knight aka 4th pantheon and I thought I had thoroughly cleaned out this games map and secrets, yet already the first 3 things in the video I had no idea about. This game just keeps on giving, its so awesome.

If we consider that base game things tend to give 3% and that the DLC stuff gives 6%, the unrelated stuff would give about the same for 100% completion of each of those things if given a percentage. Doing the pantheons with all bindings AT THE SAME TIME would probably net an additional 50% just because you got Pure Binding victories.

of the things listed the one that was strangest to me was the hunters mark. i understand all the ones involving endings because technically the game ends after those and once done you go back to right before you beat it.

To me it makes sense that endings don't give any % because there are multiple endings. Once you complete an ending you load the last save before completing the ending, meaning the ending technically did no longer happen in that save (which makes sense from a story standpoint). So by awarding % for completing an ending would lock you out of full completion in a single "story arc". Also they probably wanted to make 112% achievable for the normal players that dont want to spend 100+ h do complete everything. The reward for doing that is getting all the achievements.
