Today I'm going to show you how to make extra-large dumpling wrappers big enough to make king-sized Korean dumplings. Korean dumplings are called mandu and these wrappers are called mandu-pi. Homemade mandu-pi are a lot tastier than mandu-pi from the grocery store. They are big noodles used to wrap around fillings, so taking time and care to get them right will make your dumplings that much better.

This is the same recipe that my grandmother used for her Southern chicken and dumplings. I used your improved method of kneading and resting the dough and they were the best ever! Thank you for everything. 💜

Korean food is developed over 1000s of years with such a history, to both gut and heart content, gourmet in every bite. Thank you for sharing this rich food culture with us. I think everybody has at least one item in their home that was given by a special person at some point in their life, and that makes you think of that person each time you use the item.
For me it's an antic thimble, handed to me by a close friend of mine, which belonged to his late grandmother. I have never met the woman, but I think of her each time I sew something by hand. I love having it in my sewing kit. Very precious to me.
Thank you Maangchi for always telling sweet stories while you're cooking.

I’m new to kitchen I was confused what is 2/3 cup apparently it’s 2x 1/3 cup so u put 1/3 cup two times
i didn’t have much filling as well so I used the rest of the dough to make it bread with eggs inside it it’s amazing

I love potstickers (what we call them here) Mandu-pi and I will be making this within the next 72 hours or less. With this horrible Covid-19 you cant go in and eat in your favorite places and if you can, I'm still to afraid to do so, so I've been learning alot of things during this time lol. I'm so hopeful that I can make these and do them justice. Lol I was already warned that I will eventually learn to make Kimchi so that should be interesting as well. Never too early to start haha learning. I will admit I'm not a fan of American kimchi but I have been told that I would like Korean Kimchi lol I'm up for trying it. And I love your video's Maangchi, so many things I consider and wish to try!! Thank you!! ❤❤

Maangchi, thank you so much for your kindness and your recipes ❤ I'm following your videos and they are so helpful!!! My husband is celiac, and I'd love to prepare these dumplings for him: can I use rice flour for this recipe? How much?

Yay! Yummy! Can't wait to try this out! Ohhhh Maangchi! Can you show us how to make Chinese Sesame Seed balls with the red bean paste inside?, I wanted to try to make it, but I was looking and it's said it's one of the most difficult recipes because you have to make sure the balls expand evenly! :O SO I'd so love a demonstration and any help from you! I love these so much, but since I live in a small town, we don't have any Chinese bakery's, just a Chinese Buffet, and I want to have them fresh you know! :3

ahh! you know Maangchi, this is the exact way how I make noodles. only I cut the dough in 3 or 4 pieces, knead them in anyway as thin as possible and then fold from both sides until you get like a stick a d slice them how thick you want. it was really delicious! try it when you're short of noodles haha

Maangchi you are my favorite and I love your hat! Thank you for making these videos! I live in Koreatown in Los Angeles and now that everything is closed for quarantine I can't just walk next door and buy Korean food anymore so I'm going to try to make it myself now
