I grew up on old school metal, 80's Metallica, Sabbath, Pantera etc. Nightwish were the first band to widen my taste and bring me to amazing bands like Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation etc. So it's not surprising that Nightwish continue to grow and surprise me. Phenomenal album, Kai's drumming off the hook, lost track of how many singing styles Floor performed perfectly. 10/10! What a band!
Almost the same story over here, all the bands you named in the 80's plus Iron maiden. But in the nineties we had a band in The Netherlands called 'The Gathering' with Anneke van Giersbergen as a vocalist, I guess she is a kind of a role model for a lot of Dutch female front singers in the Metal world like Floor in Nightwish, but also Within Temptation, Epica, Delain etc. Anneke is still active and made some awesome stuff with Devin Townsend. BTW I like Lacuna Coil too :)

The drummers have always been Nightwish strength imo (together with Tuomas and Tarja/Fleur ofcourse). I loved he drummer from end if an era (forgot his name however), but this one's amazing too. I absolutely adore the drumwork in many Nightwish songs (such as ghost love score and over the hills)

So heavy, such a masterpiece. Tuomas, once again you did it. Kai on drumms - wau. He told in his interview that he couldn't play this song with his old drumm set. So he build a new set up for being able to play this song as it needed to be played. He added five more drumms on his left side. What a phenomenal drummer 😳👍

This song is absolutely stunning live! I had the privilege of seeing them live at Kuopio yesterday, and I loved every second of it!
Ive been a fan for years.....It is been a great pleasure to watch this band evolve into one of the greatest bands in history. Keep it up guys, you are often imitated but never duplicated!
We got to learn the skeleton dance moves before the live shows. Would be fun for us and great for the band if thousands of people dance to the song :)

So heavy, such a masterpiece. Tuomas, once again you did it. Kai on drumms - wau. He told in his interview that he couldn't play this song with his old drumm set. So he build a new set up for being able to play this song as it needed to be played. He added five more drumms on his left side. What a phenomenal drummer 😳👍
