After hearing all of Nightwish' music, I can't help but think that Tuomas should go down in history as one of the greatest composers of his time, and along with the rest of this group, as the greatest band of all times.
I've been listening to this song for a while now and this is the moment I realize the solo is just awesome and that bridge is superb. I only listened and let it pass by but now there's no way to simply ignore it. Not to mention that the ending is epic. I will miss you, Anette. Long live to Nightwish :)

Tarja will always be my favorite. But this song sung by Annette is probably in my top 3 nightwish songs. How lucky we are to have had 3 singers of such skill.
One of the reasons she got a bad rap was because of Dark Passion Play. Half the songs were written for Tarja and Annette did her best but didn't really fit the "feel" of them. Imaginaerium was the first album that was written exclusively with Annette's vocals in mind and god *damn* did Nightwish knock it out of the park.
The song that i listened millions of times starting at 2years old to now. This song will be the one that will be allways my favorite song and the song thats reprecents me the most. Nightwish on paras!
I just watched the movie this evening - I had *no idea* Tuomas actually wrote a movie for this album...and it got made!!!! The Easter eggs in the film are wonderful, the storyline seems pure Tuomas, and I *LOVE* how the whole band is in it!!!! Not to mention the pure magic at hearing bits of tracks to the album intertwined throughout. I'm going to watch it again. And maybe again after that.
When it come to Nightwish, even if i don't like the music in the song, the lyrics are always outstanding and extraordinary. That hardly ever happens though, and that's definitely not the case for this song. This song is perfection.
The moment I read that line "Early wake-ups in a moving home" I busted up laughing at how fitting it is. This has been one of my favorite songs to blast while roaring through the mountains in my K20 camper for several years now, but Ive never been quite able make out the lyrics

THAT'S WHY her voice is so perfect for this album because she doesn't necessarily sound "Metal". Look at Tarja, she sounds like an Opera singer. Makes me think of back when I lived by a river, and had a little sailboat. It leaked, but luckily had an inner hull so it was just more ballast. I'd sail down that river in the morning and not come back until nearly sundown. I'd have the occasional mishap, but there was only one time I didn't make it back until after dark. Oh, I would have, but the wind died a little early. Mostly. I'd get a breath here and there, just enough to make headway against the gentle current. I was making it. I had to shake my head when my dad came out to "rescue" me in the canoe. He'd tried that before one time when we lived by a lake instead and I got caught in the lee of an island. He flipped the canoe. This time he'd gotten it down though. I still didn't think he should've risked it. I was doing fine. Slow but steady, and it was really peaceful.
