Exactly.. Nightwish are the greatest.. Truly a team effort and all of them playing a major part. Like in the beginning of the track with Kai's drumming (come on Kai) then Tuomas drops his keys on us, then Floor.. Well what can I say, this is an extremely hard melody to sing and I got my first Floorgasm during this track.. Marco only actually sings on one track of this album (which is s shame, same with Troy) but they compliment Floor perfectly and Empuu sends me shivers with his solos. Think that's everyone.. Well done will give a few play throughs and sure before long I won't be able to stop listening.. Nightwish always reveal something every time you listen, always rewarding.. Long may they reign. Top of the tier. Best band in the world..

i enjoyed the this song it depicts music as an entity and the giving of music to mankind teaching maybe help to improve aspects of ourselves and those around us. the sincerity of not just the vocals she or troy bring, the melodies and i think there is some harmonizing between her and troy in the song but this album for me was quite accomplishment for the band and the musicians didn't disappoint at all but i enjoy variety in the music and the creativities in not just the order of the songs on the album but flow of the journey the peaks and valleys the notes and the sounds they make when they play during recording to get everyone locked in and smooth and effortless transitions in the songs themselves and the instruments and the sounds that set a vibe which this band is great at, no problems there what makes them connect on the album.
It's a incredible song for a magnificent singer. One of the best songs I ever heard. Thanks Floor, thanks Nightwish....the world is better because of you.❤❤❤❤❤

this whole album literally the story of humans.not fantasy.from creation to endlessness.each song represent a part. tool does that in every album but i didn't know that nightwish has this capacity.mind blown album.
I find it incredible how Nightwish are consistently reinventing themselves without ever losing their musical identity. You don't need to know it's a Nightwish song to recognize it as such, even without Floor's voice (hope we never actually lose that), it's just so... distinctive. It keeps the nightwishy sound while at the same time breaking new ground, not stagnating, ever. It's kind of amazing.
7:16- 7:18 the piano bring us back to the same notes that start at 3:08. These little details made Nightwish the incredible band that they are. You could listen to the songs of this album 100 times and still find something new each time. Love this album, love Tuomas talent.
This is one of the many reasons I love Nightwish. This is also a reason why Lacuna Coil became a favorite of mine. They change a lot for each record but still hold that sound they've always had.
According to the QNA, Tuomas' original idea was even more ambitious than this. He really wanted to change genres in the middle of the track, from Metal to Jazz to Soul to Electro. And even though he hasn't been able to come close to his original project, the end result is absolutely mind-blowing. That's Tuomas for you.
Doudoussin Even though I’m glad he recognized his original ambitious idea didn’t work for this song and changed it, I low key hope he doesn’t abandon that idea forever, because if he can execute it well, that would make for a killer song in the future
@@Doudoussin I know! I loved it when he laughed at how "awful" it turned out. I do wonder what that "pretentious crap," as Tuomas put it, might have sounded like. Would love to hear that demo :D
I'm absolutely agree with you: Floor used a lot of different techniques, textures, even intensities of her voice. Everybody repeats as sparrow "Floor Jansen doesn´t use all her potential in Nightwish" but I think: "Did you rally listened the albums?"
@@AdolfoSalinasP Becouse music isnt just about hitting high notes. A lot of people doesnt have feelings for music. There is a lot of amazing singers, but none like Floor, I just cannot help myself, but she is just out of this world :)
@@AdolfoSalinasP Some people seem to think that fully utilizing Floor Jansen would require having her do deep growls and full blown opera with as high notes as possible in the same song. Many people still mistake huge range as great musical ability. It's true that great singers often have great range, too, but that's more like a side-effect but the cause.
I'm crying. Omg, I'm crying. Nightwish was my childhood, Nightwish's songs helped me in a lot of difficult situations. And now, I'm 19 and listening a new Nightwish's song, a new album and I'm crying as a child. "Music" is so beautiful song, Floor has a voice like a bird. I'm very very happy of that I can hear that masterpiece and I admire a whole Nightwish for a good job. I'm so happy that you've been creating and creating such beautiful songs over the years. Love from Poland.
Thank you for saying that. Funny thing I feel exactly the same, even though I'm "slightly" older than you - 40. I was there when Once was released and helped me when my mother died. Higher than Hope was a song about her passing and will forever be in my heart.
Nightwish introduced me to metal when I was 5 (even though I didn't know what "metal" was). I remember watching Nemo official video on some TV music channel.
@@soon_to_emerge I got to know Nightwish with Once, too. It was the time they really started promoting their albums! I used to see the Once ad on MTV and I used to see Nemo on Viva (a German channel)

Congratulations for this formidable work!
@@ralphgomes1986 Yeah, if it was written "Kay" it would be pronounced differently in English. ^_^ It's "Kai" because Finnish is like Spanish -- you write things the way you pronounce them. Honest mistake, though, no worries.
I think it's one of those records that you have to listen to multiple times. Yes it's different but every artist and or group go through a period in their career where they branch out and try new things. Sometimes it works and other times they fall flat on their collective faces. For me this is one of those records that I will have to just find a quiet place put my headphones and just listen to it fully through.
The album is brutal, and is best on a scientific point of view. For example at the beggining of the song, those sounds are supposed to be the first attemps to make music from humankind.. then, chamanism, etc.
Probably, this is the pinnacle of Nightwish's creativity with Floor. Perhaps it was more familiar and cooler with Tarja, but this composition is just a masterpiece. This is the golden fund of the 21st century. Thanks to the Finnish guys and Floor for this miracle!Endless delight. I've been loving Nightwish for 20 years. Creative success to them. With love from isolated Russia.
All the lead vocalists had their own unique style that went with Nightwish. I personally think Annette would have done this album beautifully but god damn Floor is amazing too
@@davidbentley4032 what I'm saying is that Floor is fitting in perfectly in the band for now. And If she left someday... Well, there will be again the 5 phases of grief and after a while we'll be great again :)
@@guisalgado2012 i have seen and read that Tuomas has stated that Floor will be the last singer for Nightwish I get that and yes its sad but to try to replace her would be a futile effort.
I've been a fan for almost 20 years now, every since a 10-year-old me saw the music video for Over The Hills And Far Away. BUT I've never had such an intense first reaction to their songs. When I listened to this I was in tears and still when I hear this it feels like my heart can't handle it. This is perfection. This is Nightwish.

Thank you very much for the reccomendation! I will listen to Iowa by Slipknot right now!
@@aFoxyFox. Well, in that case I have two recommendations too. First is 'Ayreon', a prog rock project. Actually, it's one guy who recruits countless vocalists and musicians for his conceptual albums that are like a Sci-Fi - Fantasy epos. My favorite album would be 'The Source' that tells the backstory of the backstory. Floor has been part of it for the longest time and Marco joined once in too (like, on the one and only ever live concert with more singers than the stage could fit). My second recommendation is far away from metal, a male opera singer that combines pop, jazz, folk, etc while having the craziest vocal range ever and beating every female soprano: Dimash Kudaibergen. In my opinion, the only one greater than Floor, with technical perfection, and the sexiest barriton and sweetest soprano I've ever heard. He looks like a k-pop idol but is a traditional opera singer from Kazakhstan and a multi instrumentalist. This is the video that made him famous in China and internet, his cover of 'SOS' on a chinese tv show: ruclips.net/video/JEz1qGS0T1Q/видео.html
The album is a masterpiece. I'm a fan since 2001 and I don't get the "oh, it's not old NW". Well, that's exactly the point!!! Why would an artist want to be the same after 20(!) years? Tuomas was a Boy Poet, now he's a man who sees his job as to at least try to make a difference to the world. And it's not just an honorable goal, it's the one that really makes your art and your life worthwhile in the longrun. My only guess is that people who are so against the album have little compassion and awareness to the real world outside their own lives. Because the message behind the music and lyrics is so powerfull and sincere and heartfelt, that you have to be heart-deaf to cast it aside...
@@MetalPersonJ so you've just proven my point - you think this message is lame, when in reality it's the most beautiful, humble, heartfelt and so-so needed to hear today because of what's happening with covid19 and world crisis...
This is also a beautiful piece, and what matters isn't how METUL a song is, but how it makes you react on an emotional level. A lot of metal I have heard doesn't have much but pain and suffering. Why shouldn't we change it up? At least it isn't same old sounds we heard from previous songs...metallica...
Don't sweat it, those "this is noooot NW, bring the old NW back' has been a low key whining that started silently with "Over The Hills And Far Away" and culminated into annoying howling ever since "Dark Passion Play" with every new album release.
Challenge you to go to the wild "beauty " of. An african nature game reserve and capture the nocturna cocophany of silence and chaos during summer thunder storm season !
2:27 best moment I've heard from a Tuomas composition. It sounds almost like Two Steps From Hell stuff. This dude is amazing, people still debating about who is the best singer, Tarja, Annette or Floor but so many fail to realize that the real genius and master behind Nightwish is Tuomas. Sure, everyone in the band is important and they help bring the creations to life, but without his mind and his endless talent, none of this would exist.
@@TayR0C I wasn't comparing him to anyone else. I was talking about him alone as how great he is and how great he is in nightwish, not how much of a "great musician" he is compared to others or that he is the best of the world. @@TayR0C And on another note, I grew up with Deep Purple so I know who Jon Lord is and most of their songs. They were great for their era and they will remain a classic in most of our hearts, but times change, people change and the world moves on so that others can come along and grace us with more great art. And comparing a rock band to a symphonic metal band just shows how little you know about music. The complex diversity between Deep purple and Nightwish is on so many levels I don't even know where to begin to explain it. What kind of imbecile compares rock to symphonic, that's like comparing Trance to Classical music, they have absofuckinglutely nothing to do with one another. There’s two ways of thinking with songwriting, there write super cool parts and transitions and stuff and there’s the guy who says stuff like “let’s bring this melody back later” or “let’a do this part twice but double time the second time” Tuomas is somehow amazing at both of those
This album is an unexpected journey in the beauty of this world... It makes me feel in love with life and realize how blessed I am for living these years.

Damn. Every time they find a way to outdo themselves... every single time... Incredible album, overflowing with meaning and emotion. Thank you, Nightwish. This album is enough to make a stoic Finnish man cry with the sheer beauty of the music alone, not to even mention the lyrics. 6/5 album, a real masterpiece.
This album is pure magic and art. And every time i listen i realize different details about the songs and it's wonderful, you can still tell this album is Nightwish. And will always Nightwish. They don't need to be Nightwish by putting lyrics about fantasies. Being Nightwish is about how smart these compositions and lyrics are.
Since I have pre-ordered, I have owned the album since april 8th. Just because of this song alone I would buy the album again. Also my children (11 years and 8 years) have heard Music only once and sing the head sound of Floor from 6:13 all the time. To the whole band: Toumas, Floor, Marco, Emppu, Kai and Troy, no matter which order: great respect! The whole album is great. At the moment i'm stuck in Music. I can't find the words. Awesome. Floor is the best singer in the world. I might be overreacting right now, but I'm not quite sane right now :D I thought nothing could beat Endless forms most beautiful. I was very wrong. Tuomas, what you have created with this album surpasses everything else. Except Ghost love score, which was my first Nightwish song 15 years ago ;) respect. After hearing Human Nature a few many times, I have to correct my view slightly. This is the best album I have heard lately. To all band members: a huge praise to you. I was so looking forward to this album. Now it's here and I am overjoyed to finally hear it in its entirety. Now I only hope that the concert in Frankfurt will take place in December. Please start with music g
You're not overreacting, I like many other bands, and many other female vocalists. Hell, I like them very much. But Floor is simply the best singer that I ever heard in my opinion, and Tuomas is a genius composer.
I am simply drowned in the magical connection of deep feelings and human knowledge. Both together is Human nature. It is so inspiring for me. Nightwish is definition of the great music to me.
I have listened to this song at least once a day for the last week, and it has never failed to evoke tears...What I admire about Mr. Holopaianen's efforts as a composer is that he seeks to convey in his work the poetic truth that cannot be spoken so much in words but felt in human expression, in a manner that one could easily defer as 'divinely inspired'; and while I completely respect Nightwish's decision to identify as 'openly secular', I would be remiss to not indicate that his/their work holds numerous elements for religious/shamanic awakening. The entire album is a magnificent cacophony of transcendent realization, to glimpse past the curtain of our limited daily perception, to fleetingly recognize the wonder and awe of this splendid universe in which we reside. To anyone who has ever contemplated the deeper truth of life and sought to catch the light of great purpose, this album is an invitation to chase that desire, to greet the wondrous beauty of the world with a full and cheerful soul. The fact that this entire album is readily available to play on RUclips without purchase suggests that one of the most significant efforts of Human Nature is to act as a catalyst for inspiration and personal awakening through the experience and contemplation of the MUSIC that is given freely. I have purchased the album myself, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone just now in 2020 learning about Nightwish. Thank you for your attention.
I am Matthew's wife on his facebook. I had been so inspired. My parents are deaf and my dad got cochlear implants. He heard your music. He said it sounded like opera.Thank u Thuomas for never giving up and sharing ur awesomeness with all of us. I am never a fan of any band it's not my nature. Your art and your group has softened my sadness and made the sunlight seem to sing joy again. Peace and fierceness beauty to u all!
Perfect. From the NASA recording of space (adjusting the wavelengths of light to sound) in the opening to the orchestration and vocalization throughout the rest of the song. Loved how Tuomas plays with the lyrics, actually referring to "Noise" coming behind the "Music", then, in the chorus, "Have you ever heard Music? It is coming, coming, coming, your way, the very first song." A great reference to the song "Noise" following behind "Music", the very first song on the album. Seamlessly weaving that into the other beautiful lyrics and this fantastic composition is but another manifestation of this man's genius. Love the song and everything about this album. Another Nightwish masterpiece.
The more I hear this, the more it becomes one of my favourites. It’s like one long crescendo; you just can’t imagine how it will develop from the first few minutes. Just wonderful
I just cannot perceive how can something be so perfect... the lyrics, the melody, the instruments, everything... I am an old fan of Nightwish, but now I fell in love with them again.

It's not an album of songs to sing along ,but an album of soundscapes to experience and feel !
Floor’s vocal gymnastics in this is insane. Masterclass in singing.
Very reminiscent of old Kate Bush, at some parts.

Have been listening to Nightwish for about two years and have just found this. What an incredible piece of music!

When people say Human Nature is a boring album with no good songs...you just gotta ask "Have you ever heard Music??"
So true
I think it's one of those records that you have to listen to multiple times. Yes it's different but every artist and or group go through a period in their career where they branch out and try new things. Sometimes it works and other times they fall flat on their collective faces. For me this is one of those records that I will have to just find a quiet place put my headphones and just listen to it fully through.
Music noise pan shoemaker and especially endlessness: do you have any taste in music
The album is brutal, and is best on a scientific point of view. For example at the beggining of the song, those sounds are supposed to be the first attemps to make music from humankind.. then, chamanism, etc.
Not my favorite album but diffently a good album.
Nightwish is great music!!! I am a big fan of Nightwish!!!❤❤❤👍👍👍
I will aways love the Nightwish with Tarja's voice, but today I realised that I can't see the band without Floor anymore.
All the lead vocalists had their own unique style that went with Nightwish. I personally think Annette would have done this album beautifully but god damn Floor is amazing too
So she leaves, they replace her and you refuse to go see them?
@@davidbentley4032 pretty sure he didn't mean it like that considering Floor is the current lead singer.
Any other powerful songs you can reccomend by any band at all?
Total agree... also a fan ever since i heard over the hills and far away
@@aFoxyFox. it's quite different from anything Nightwish does, but Slipknot's Iowa has always had a pretty significant impact on me. Ignore the comments on any youtube videos of that tho, they're edgier than a packet of razor blades.
@@rogthepirate4593 haha, thank you very much. Anything else also, please don't hesitate to share however strange or unique or even mainstream, I don't mind, I love to hear whatever seems to have some kind of impact or which people enjoy deeply!
How didn't I reply on this when it aired!? This is magnificent, just magnificent! My favorite of the new album for sure!
Every singer that ever had the pleasure of being apart of nightwish brought something unique, beautiful souls.
Because there's a million different ways they could have gone and they picked the lamest one.
@@MetalPersonJ so you've just proven my point - you think this message is lame, when in reality it's the most beautiful, humble, heartfelt and so-so needed to hear today because of what's happening with covid19 and world crisis...
@@MetalPersonJ yeah how is it lame? Because it's not all dark and dreary, or screaming? what did you want from it?
This is also a beautiful piece, and what matters isn't how METUL a song is, but how it makes you react on an emotional level. A lot of metal I have heard doesn't have much but pain and suffering. Why shouldn't we change it up? At least it isn't same old sounds we heard from previous songs...metallica...
Don't sweat it, those "this is noooot NW, bring the old NW back' has been a low key whining that started silently with "Over The Hills And Far Away" and culminated into annoying howling ever since "Dark Passion Play" with every new album release.
It's the perfect opening song for an album. I'm speechless.
Challenge you to go to the wild "beauty " of. An african nature game reserve and capture the nocturna cocophany of silence and chaos during summer thunder storm season !
totally different from the typical punch like Shudder, Storytime, Dark chest of wonders etc!

The fact that this song is about the history of music made me cry! it's a really incredible piece! Thank you Nightwish!!
Sure, everyone in the band is important and they help bring the creations to life, but without his mind and his endless talent, none of this would exist.
that's for sure ! I'm always mesmerized by the things that get out of his head. Like DUDE ! That's fair to say he's a poet.
that part is the beginning of serious goosebumpiness ;c)
You've obviously never heard of Jon Lord. Listen to Rat Bat Blue. After listening to that, you'll think Tuomas is an amateur.
@@TayR0C I wasn't comparing him to anyone else. I was talking about him alone as how great he is and how great he is in nightwish, not how much of a "great musician" he is compared to others or that he is the best of the world.
You are clearly one of those dickheads that feel the need to throw other artists around to bash others and ruin the pleasure some of us have from our favourite musicians, so you can stick your fucking artist up your arse and fuck off because I despise people like you. Kthxbye.
God damn people like you push my buttons. Well there goes my zen for the day. Good day to you.
7:16 - 7:18 the piano bring us back to the same notes that start at 3:08. These little details made Nightwish the incredible band that they are. You could listen to the songs of this album 100 times and still find something new each time. Love this album, love Tuomas talent.
Yeah, that kind of stuff drives me crazy, Tuomas really is a genius and Floor's voice gives you the sensation to be in a fairy tail.
I've been fan of nightwish a decade and now I'm still here enjoying everything they released.... This band never disappoint me ever and still one of the greatest symphonic band in history period.

This album have really great songs!
The best song of the Album , this is Nightwish how I love them.
