Marco's expressions and voice are insane. His part was absolutely bone-chilling.

He would have no place in the American thrash or groove metal scene. He might even look suspicious in the stoner metal scene, not that anyone would have a problem with it. But in power metal and symphonic metal this guy is untouchable
Nightwish were amazing with their original line-up but when he joined the band they became phenomenal

I've lost too much hair to wear it long (because long hair looks stupid with a big bald spot), and I can't grow a beard to save my life. Of course, even if I could grow one like that I still couldn't, because I'm a chef and people frown on chefs with long beards.

It makes perfect sense, whatever your problem is whether you carry old pain with you or you are in a bad place in your life....there is always a more beautiful person and a more loving song that can always be sung. I sing everyday and I believe that we all have soul mates and once we begin singing to our soul mates we can finally be healed. There is also Metal-Metal helps us all heal! Charlotte Wessels and Marco Hietala both sing like professionally trained vocalists, I think they are. 😉And they rock so hard in this song that is so awesome! LightLikeLight I love Marco, but he wasn't even on the albums that got them noticed. He didn't show up until Century Child, not on Angels Fall First, Oceanborn, or Wishmaster...
DShiflet01 Marco wasn't the original Bassist for Nightwish. he didn't join on until Wishmaster, the original guy couldn't sing at all.

It might be my imagination, but Heavy Metal / Symphonic Metal singers tend to have a much more clear and powerful voice than most singing in other genres.
Either that or they just put it to use better.

That's because other, more popular/mainstream genres rely much more on effects.
From what I've seen and read, more of the singers in these groups tend to be classicly trained as well
Listen to his bands called Tarot and specifically listen to the song entitled, "Gone". It is a total eargasm and you won't be disappointed~!
It think it may have to do with them having their roots in classic, opera styles. Witch actually requires them to learn to control their voices better.
Like a few people have stated a lot of them are classically trained. Also, it suits the genre better. It just wouldn’t sound as good if you have someone who’s can’t really sing doing a metal song. The instruments and the production is usually already powerful, so it’s more fitting to have someone with a strong voice to balance it all out.
Literally saw Delain, Sabaton, and Nightwish last night. Delain was first to play, and when they played this song Marko walked out and everyone screamed so loud you could barely hear the music haha. All of the bands killed it. Great fucking show.

I love the fact that bands and record labels are putting out official lyric videos now. It's particularly good for songs that they maybe can't justify the huge production cost for a traditional video.

Christian Muhametov He barely sung on EFMB, but his part in Weak Fantasy was one of the better parts I thought.
Eh? He sounds great on "Endless Forms Most Beautiful." He just doesn't sing nearly as much on that album as he did for the previous two. He does do a fair amount of backing vocals, though. I had personally gotten so used to him and Anette sharing lead vocals on numerous songs (their back and forth on "Imaginaerum" is especially great) that the switch back to mostly just a single vocalist seemed a bit jarring at first.
It kind of made sense that they'd want to showcase Floor on her first studio album with the band. As much as I love the album, I'm hoping that she's allowed to show off her vocal range a bit more on the next one. She has an amazing voice and it's a shame that her range was so limited on that album. I'm looking forward to a live album featuring those songs. She really goes all out during live performances.

I'll always be here.. Charlotte leaving the band was the best mistake i've ever known about! She's something unreplacable and she's Delain! Her voice and charisma.. She's everything.. I won't ever handle the fact that i was about seeing them then Covid happened and then i got to know that their last amazing album they decided to call everything off..

The word mistake is not correct. That's like there was a choice, which there wasn't. I think its more their mistake they left. They miss a good songwriter now. Delain does not. And Delain will still have Marko coming back
