    Directed by Ville Lipiäinen.
What better way to conclude the year as to recapture one of its outstanding highlights by revisiting Finnish Symphonic Metal legends NIGHTWISH taking the likewise legendary Wacken Open Air by storm? After being decorated with triple platinum status in Finland as well as gold status in numerous European countries (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, among others) for their most current studio masterpiece »Imaginaerum« and following the highly successful release of their very own fantasy motion picture »Imaginaerum by Nightwish«, the band is closing in its cycle of the `Imaginaerum World Tour´ with a festival triple -- Wacken Open Air being the first of those final shows. The `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2013-2013 visited in 34 countries, consisted of 104 shows with total audience attendance of over 1,5 million fans.
And what would be a better way to celebrate the grand finale as to capture the entire show at Wacken Open Air -- the world's biggest heavy metal festival -- for a live DVD/Blu-ray? The live show in the front of 85 000 screaming metalheads was directed by Ville Lipiäinen, filmed with seventeen cameras and has a total duration of 85 minutes.
Mastermind and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen states:
"The time has come soon to wrap up the magical & memorable one-and-a-half year `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013! We still have three shows left, one of them being at the legendary Wacken Open Air Metal Festival on the 3rd of August. This show will be something extra special, since it will be released later this year on DVD/Blu-ray, together with a massive `Imaginaerum World Tour´ 2012-2013 documentary. Our darling flying Dutchwoman, Floor Jansen, has been nothing but incredible during her time in Nightwish on this tour, so this is a perfect opportunity to immortalize the current vibe of the band on film! "
The second disc consists of 120-minute tour documentary 'Please Learn The Setlist in 48 Hours', with no short of drama or overall madness. Also, there is a 16-minute NIGHTWISH Table Hockey Tournament, filmed on tour. On top of this there are two music clips: 'I want my tears back' (Live at Hartwall Arena) and 'Ghost Love Score' (Live in Buenos Aires).
    DVD 1 Track List:
    01. Dark Chest Of Wonders
    02. Wish I Had An Angel
    03. She Is My Sin
    04. Ghost River
    05. Ever Dream
    06. Storytime
    07. I Want My Tears Back

My favorite song to sing live is Ghost Love Score!
On my first tour with Nightwish I started to sing the ending differently, to add something to it. Then there was a concert DVD [2013’s Showtime, Storytime] showing this, and everyone wanted to keep hearing the new ending. It suddenly became a ‘thing’ - there was expectation, so it became special for me. Thank you everyone!

Thank you! for taking an already perfect song and taking it to a new dimension.
-and you do that with most, if not all of your performances.
There are 7+ billion people in the world. Most of us would be happy to be the right piece that completes a puzzle.
It's awe inspiring to see that it's possible to not just be a piece that can finish the puzzle, but you can also add a glossy finish & a sculpted frame to it.
You & Nightwish - Please keep making that beautiful music for the soul

easy to digest is the TZerm. Thats nothing Metal will ever be. SO, Taylor Swift, as talented as She is, will always get the Money with 10 Words, and 4/4 Chorus/Verse/Chorus/Bridge/Chorus, 3 Minutes -End. Pppl dont want to invest in Music, they want to digest, easy and fast. Thats Pop, and it got its very mercantile Place in our western Culture. Symph Metal, Classical Music, and many other Niche-Variations(in term of Listeners/Money grossing) mostly got in Common, that they are not resolving by the first Listening. So, no Airtime, mostly play on special Stations.
Thats modern fast Life, and i doubt we can change this. But we can cherish the Pearls like Nightwish for ourselfs in our Communities, for me thats enough:)

It has been already 10 hours in the summer heat, me and my friend where tired and dehydrated because we didnt drink anything because we didnt want to have to leave front row to go to the toilet lol.
And just before Nightwish started, some bulky brazilian guy brute forced us out of the front row without mercy haha. He was just bigger and stronger and wrestled us out. @@Daishar I 100% agree with you, it's everything about her, then this voice comes out. Sends chills and that doesn't happen to me often at all, literally every time I hear this song I get chills, most the time I get chills from other singers, it only happens initially, and with her it happens every time I hear this song lol

There's 2 important people at the end of the song. Floor, and Jukka. And I love how Floor acknowledges Jukka at the end, because her crescendo doesn't mean much without his. Simply awesome.

I'm a 40 years old men, I've experienced alot in my life so far.
Good things, bad things. Things I laughed about, things I cried about. I saw nice places, meet nice people, made new experiences, learned new things about myself.
Overall I would say I'm forged by life, more in a bad than in a good way.
BUT this song, this voice directly speaks to something deep inside me, which I didn't even know its existence anymore and it's answering with tears everytime.
I'm not mad about it. Not all tears are feeded by pain.
All I want to say is: Thank you for showing me a part of mine which I ignored for to long.

Floor's version of this song had me in tears the first time I heard it. Yes, Tarja could cause goosebumps, but there is something about Floor's voice, stage presence, and passion that absolutely blew me away. She's a goddess with golden vocal cords! Beautiful!

Something about Floor that is very underrated is, her elegance when she moves to the music. Her head banging, and other movements are simple, yet very prominent. I find myself watching the video simply because of her on stage presence.

    • @TTArt
      @TTArt 4 года назад +23

Underrated? 99,99% of comments I read on these are about Floor, floorgasms, windmills and her absolutely stunning stage presence. This is probably the most reacted live performance alongside Queen Live Aid performance. I'd say she is hyped, and that is 100% deserved. #floorgasm
