I’m a 52 year old woman, I lost my mom four years ago, and this wonderful pop song has hit me more emotionally than anything else in all those years. Music is essential to the soul.

She helped so many charities I think that’s also why louis is now so engaged with charities. His mum was a nurse and used her social media to help others. She was such a sweet woman. Every single time the question was brought up who the biggest mama’s boy is everybody pointed to Louis. Louis always described her as the first person to talk to for advise, and like a friend. It’s honestly so tragic when you think about that Louis has 6 younger siblings. I remember in 2014 Johanna married again and then out of the blue in 2016 she died nobody knew or suspected anything. Her youngest children twins were just 2 years old. I don’t know how his family went through this but it’s so heartbreaking. Louis is so strong.
It was also thanks to Louis' mom that we got the amazing friendship of James Corden with the One Direction boys, if she hadn't thought to trust James with her son, he might have never been a part of the band, or even worse, the band might have never been formed
(this is my third comment, sorry). But the line at the end; "well end just like we started, just you and me and no one else" hits close to him. Louis' biological father left when he was really young so it's just...ouch.
That part really got to me too! Not only about his father leaving, but how it was just the two of them before all his siblings came about. I don’t mean it in a negative way but I hope you get what I’m saying...

Yougest being the twins at 2 years old. It's so so sad that they dont grow up knowing their mom in person. I remember the day we all found out on Twitter and i cried my eyes out for poor Louis and his family.

This is an incredible, meaningful song. I am SO glad to hear a vocal coach talk about his special vocal abilities. So many people who don't know anything about the subject criticize Louis and say really derogatory things about his singing. You don't have to have a big, powerful voice to be a talented singer. I like his diction. That is his true accent and the song is so personal. He's singing to his mother so, for me, that just lent an authenticity to the sound. It made the song even more personal. I think this is the best song he has written so far.
I love the fact that its the kind of love song that is based of true, deep and meaningful love with raw emotion. Not just one about an ex or something. It's the kind of love that only family could bring. Also I really like your review on the song and his vocals, it's interesting and something I would take into account if somehow how I can work on getting my voice to a point that sounds descent when singing.

I like his voice, but I think he doesn't have a voice that is very common in pop music, I think it's beautiful, but I also think he's afraid to do music that is appropriate for his voice, and that he doesn't have confidence in it and in himself as a singer. There is a few acoustic performances 1d did where his voice can be heard live without the noise from the crowds, and I love those the most.
