The first singer is a perfect example of musical storytelling. She wasn't singing lyrics (or even needed background music). You can tell she was trying to embody a character or tap into a real episode of her life. Even as a man that song hits hard when you think about what it means. It's a farewell gone to the love of your life when you come to terms you are in the way of their true happiness they deserve, even though they make you the happiest you have ever felt. It's a bitter pill to accept and if you have ever had to do that (like I have and others), then you understand the reason this song is classic is because it conveys two conflicting emotions. Sadness of saying goodbye. Genuine Love for the person you want happy with or without you. Even after 20 years I still think about this person, and check in on how she is doing through social media. Hurts you love someone so much, but happy that she has a life you could never give her. Great husband, kids, a dog, and a circle of love around her. What else can you want for someone else. It would be selfish to wish otherwise. I made the right decision to walk away and let her follow her heart 20 years ago. I would just be in the way.

I like how people sing songs with emotions because it's a rare sign these days. The big artists just sing but there are artists that they sing with pain and ache and it brings so much emotion.
Whenever there are hard songs to be discussed, always songs from the vocal trinity in the lists (Whitney Celine & Mariah) their songs definitely one of the hardest
Love the editing, how they stripped back the audience noise in the first song just as she hit the falsetto towards the end! Those shows are well oiled machines
I don't really think Hallelujah ist paticulary hard, speaking of performing it and not embarrising yourself. But singing it on this level is indeed very hard. Mad respect for this performance
Wow all these singers are so talented. I was particularly surprised by the Polish lady, the French girl, and the woman singing the Mariah Carey song. I applaud all of them though 👏🏼👏🏼

I like Lou Mai above other contestants. Her version of Bohemian Rhapsody chilled me and opened mouth!!
I like how people sing songs with emotions because it's a rare sign these days. The big artists just sing but there are artists that they sing with pain and ache and it brings so much emotion.
The first woman.. her singing.. gives goosebumps..
Whenever there are hard songs to be discussed, always songs from the vocal trinity in the lists (Whitney Celine & Mariah) their songs definitely one of the hardest
The emotion in the first performance…. Was absolutely incredible. And real.
So much emotion on the first one. I felt that pinch in the heart.
The guy singing ‘chandelier’ im beyond amazed
Love the editing, how they stripped back the audience noise in the first song just as she hit the falsetto towards the end! Those shows are well oiled machines
“Cry baby” and “It’s a man’s man’s man’s world” are two of the best ones that came out of the voice.
Yikes
@@leticiaxopm is that good or bad?

One of the best songs ever written. Such a great message without actually saying it. Truly have always loved this song and can totally relate. ❤
Literally cried from the emotion of the first girl , my god
She bodied that Vision of Love! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💙🎵
