- I'm installing a steel prehhung exterior entry door for my shed build. This is a great pre-owned/ used door that I found on marketplace for $80 and I'm installing it in my new-construction setting. This would be the same process for a fiberglass door as well.

With a gap that wide on the side of the door, put some backer rod in before you foam it. Helps seal with less foam, and it's tougher that just foam by itself. Good series!
Great work here, now all we need is a tutorial on making steps to get to that door, I know I’m going to need a blueprint.
Lol, coming in a future video
In later videos it looks like you put a board under the front of the door, can you show this part?
great work, good luck, im waiting for the next video!
I'm wondering what will be outside wrapping.
Hey carl how much was your build so far?😊
So I’ve just got my new door and the preferred method to install it is with a sill pan first !! What say you?
I think a sill pan is great. I went with the flashing method, but a sill pan can make the job even easier.
@@EveryotherKarl yeah I’ve already flash taped the sill myself just wondering why this method wasn’t mentioned by the retail person who answered all my questions at the store!! Lol
Ok my rafters are ready to install however I’ve followed your lower measurements and now have an inch extra on either side on the 10 foot width ! I’ve mentioned earlier how that should be 1/8 instead now I wonder is this going to be a problem?
Hmm, I'm not exactly sure, but perhaps you can have the rafters go outside the sheathing instead of the way I did it where I cut my sheathing around the rafters. This would use up some of that extra 1 inch.
