- A fight every HxH fan is waiting for is when Chrollo and Hisoka inevitably met and fight. This video breaks down their strengths and weaknesses as well as their current mindsets to figure out how a rematch might go. It's my first time really trying to break down a hypothetical fight so bear with me. Also although I ask for recommendations on what kind of video to make next there is a Tserriednich analysis in the works.

The theory that Chrollo cheated is pretty bad.
- Gallery fake does not disappear once he stops using it.
- Hisoka has high battle IQ but he clinically underestimate his enemies (much like Killua). This man wanted to throw down with Netero. Think about that for a moment. If Netero took up on his challenge Hisoka would be a smear on the wall before he could blink, yet the clown thought he could break the old man. His overconfidence was his demise.
- If Chrollo was going to cheat, he could have just the whole Spider jump Hisoka and be the end of it. Yes, Hisoka is strong, but if he couldn't out maneuver a single Chrollo he wouldn't be able to deal with 9 nen users at the same time.
- The spiders also have a sense of pride and honor, given you can join the troupe by killing a member. And Chrollo isn't one to shy from a fight. He took on two Zoldycks by himself after Uvogin's death, and was trying to steal their hatsu. And he is a floor leader, which also implies he enjoys a fight from time to time.
What should Hisoka do? He said he finds the fact that Netero keeps himself so vulnerable is hot to him (LOL) So Netero is exceptionally good at hiding how strong he is. There is no reason why hisoka should've been scared of Netero in that moment.
Togashi wrote in the end of volumn 34 that he loves fight between two great fighters or something like that. So it would be kinda nonsense if Chrollo cheated on Hisoka.
The fight of the two also hides some interesting meanings that continues from Yorknew city arc. Yorknew is a story about fate (I believe so), where fate controls every character in the story. Like Chrollo belives everyone are the puppets to destiny (a fan theory) and we have Chrollo stuck with Hisoka despite having a wise coclusion about "Judas". Turns out, Spider's Judas doesnt seek money or fame like Chrollo said, but he seek for good fights. Chrollo was controled by fate so he coundt see tje real face of Hisoka. But after that, now the clown is clear as the day, he didnt hide in fate, no identity, anymore. Now Chrollo is the one hiding in fate, in the flow of lifes, of human. From there he attacked Hisoka like every soul in fate might attack an invidual.
This is just a small part of a whole view but i belive you get what i mean.
The judege: You can choose any weapon (fate, human). Fight with your pride and something i dont remember.
Hisoka: So he didnt lie (about using face up cards)

I don't buy it like Hisoka himself didn't mention anything, he just said it is his mistake for letting Chrollo choose the perfect place and plan. I guess Japanese fandom liking this theory made it popular
@@metti7778 well hisoka thinks he is stronger than all the zodiacs and graded them all based on their aura compared to his. He should’ve been able to tell he had no shot or his rating of everyone during the election arc is not accurate.

I believe that when Hisoka told Maki that fighting multiple opponents was too much even for him, he was just talking about the clones.
The mistake was made by Maki. She thought that Hisoka figured out that the other spiders were helping Chrollo.
When she replied that he should CHOOSE his fights, it means that he didn't have a choice on the previous fight. It was all the spiders against him.
When he heard that from Maki, it was then and there that he figured it out and felt cheated.
This is why he decided to kill all the spiders, since they participated in the death match. He is just ending what has already started, under his terms.
Hey, great video as always. I just have one maybe an argument for Chrollo. Because at the beginning of their battle he said that this fight and thus his whole strategy was about style. So he didn't want to kill Hiskoa with punches and kicks, he wanted to destroy his spirit and show him, that he is on a whole other level. After Hisoka gained a post-mortem nen boost, he is at least on Chrollo's level. But what I wanted to say by this is that Chrollo did not necessarily use the big guns (meaning stolen abilities) in their fight at heavens arena. I'm not gonna say bullshit like he has some busted ability that can cut off someone's nen (some people say that and it is not impossible but at the same time, not a valid argument) I'm just saying that Chrollo could have more tricks up his sleeve than we might think.
idk I think hisoka was at a disadvantage in every aspect and got pummeled because of it now hes way stronger and hes gonna fight chrollo on his terms so its probably gonna be alot different

I was just trying to say that Chrollo could have some other abilities effective against Hisoka, but he didn't want to use them in Heaven's arena, because that fight was about devastating him mentally. Which would not be possible if he killed him instantly. Implying Chrollo maybe did not use the strongest abilities he has. But of course, I could be wrong.
There is no evidence that he's gained any extra power from post mortem nen, all we know is that he willed into his nen the intent to pump his heart and lungs after he died
Imagine prepping for 1 year and altering how your hatsu works plus lending ability just to defeat someone in style. That doesn't sound like chrollo at all

There is no such thing as cheating in a fight especially a DEATH match. Chrollo was smart enough to use his resources.

New chapter confirms chrollo is built different I think this whole mini war arc is leading up to chrollo stealing certain princes nen abilities i can imagine chrollo stealing tsereidnich ability to see 10 seconds into the future that would be the nail in the coffin for hisoka even with post mortem nen and would definitely guarantee his survival on the dark continent

I honestly think He would never be able to steal the fourth princes ability. There’s too many conditions, and he literally has 2 nen beasts, is a specialist, considered the ultimate prodigy, and also has a literal, personal army and gang behind him. I do realize his half sister is trying to overthrow him, but I think there’s too many cards in his favor for Chrollo to handle
@@dontworryaboutit5490 the conditions are pretty simple and chrollo has a deep comprehension with understanding nen abilities and he's top tier in intellect being able to already understand and have many multiple abilities its very likely (90%) that chrollo for sure that can steal tserried ability of future sight
and the way bandit secret works one of the conditions is to willingly give chrollo your ability so at some point in the story we will have to see chrollo actually use bandit and someone willingly give their ability to him the question is who will togashi put in that predicament in my mind it just seems narratively odd to put the phantom troupe hisoka and the empire in a chaotic confrontation which is where the story is currently at with phantom troupe currently searching hisoka and hisoka shuffling cards with empire chrollo most definitely could potentially suffer a fatal wound from a newly buffed hisoka retreat and somehow learn of tserriednich ability and use that ability to gain the edge on hisoka it seems like that ability suits chrollo best especially with his new backstory andtogashi putting the spotlight on him directly after hyping up the princes HMMMMMM TOGASHI 🤔 like before this backstory i wouldnt even think chrollo would do that but the chronology of how togashi is telling the story adds up 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥 fire theory no?

Chrollo fought against Zeno and Silva at the same time! And it seemed like he purposefully wanted to fight a handicap match. Chrollo would never back down from a fight against the likes of Hisoka.

@@Page_max Hisoka being dangerous is a constant. He surely is more powerful because his bungee gum evolved or whatever but keep in mind that we have yet to see what Chrollo can really do. Against the zoldycks he wasn’t going all out as he stated that he couldn’t steal their abilities. He killed hisoka once and in my opinion he will do it again if their paths cross.

Hisoka just used the defense of getting killed through asphyxiation instead of the bomb and that is why he is still alive. Chrollo was confident against the Zoldycks because he has already read the prophecy that he is not going to die.
Of course he had help, THE ENTIRE CROWD. Not to mention Shalnark gave him his phone manipulator ability, and he had the ability of one of the higher ups in Meteor City.
I feel like you're not having Chrollo's sheer anger from Hisoka targeting spider members in equation for this fight. Chrollo is smart, resourceful and cold, him being angry with Hisoka would just make him take Hisoka with full seriousness. Chrollo explained his whole plan to Hisoka right before their fight and still won, this time he'd be more unpredictable and dirty.
About Chrollo having unshown abilities, I personally wouldn't be surprised if he had some self-destructive or high risk high reward stolen abilities he rarely uses or that he just prefers to keep unused. Maybe he might even steal abilities from mafia members? I think that'd be interesting.
I think Chrollo's angry at himself--as well as Hisoka--due to Shalnark and Kortopi not having the means to protect themselves since their borrowed abilities weren't yet returned.
I can only imagine how personally responsible he feels at not finishing Hisoka off & leaving his allies completely vulnerable. All because he wanted to style on Hisoka.
I don't see him winning in their 2nd encounter--at the very least, not without suffering heavy loss--lest the reasoning behind Hisoka reviving would be without purpose.
I think Hisoka is obsessed with his own power and Chrollo's power is more obsessed with taking other peoples power. I think that means Hisoka's battle with Chrollo isn't even about Chrollo and more about how he preforms against everyone and since in the manga there are a lot of new characters that have unique overpowered mechanisms, it may suggest that the dark continent is going to be more about characters teaming up to fight monsters like a puzzle in which they have to solve together kinda like in Greed Island. Which I loved Greed Island so i'm excited.
I think this video misrepresents how the first fight between Hisoka and Chrollo went. Yes, Chrollo had a lot of prep time and had to utilize a lot of different abilities. But to say that the fight was actually close is just untrue. Hisoka was on the back foot the entire time and while he did have a few surprise attacks with Bungee Gum, Chrollo was never in any significant danger of dying. Meanwhile, Hisoka was fighting for his life from the beginning. The fact that Hisoka had to acknowledge to himself that he was going to die shows that he got humbled. Also I don't buy that Chrollo was cheating because if he was going to cheat, he might as well have completely rigged the entire audience from the beginning so that they were already set to explode the second the referee said start. There was no point in cheating in a covert way if one of them was going to end up dead.
As far as the rematch, Hisoka is stronger now but truthfully for someone of Chrollo's battle prowess, he's predictable. Unless he picked up a completely new ability with his post-mortem nen that we haven't seen, Hisoka's standard bungee gum attacks were all anticipated by Chrollo in the first fight. Meanwhile, Chrollo has a plethora of abilities to steal on the ship now and is also completely unpredictable as the video states, in terms of what abilities he already has that he's never shown to Hisoka or us as the audience for that matter.
The point is that the first fight was a rigged domination, just due to Hisoka's arrogance and Chrollo's strategic planning. This fight will be much more even but I still think Chrollo should be favored here due to his unpredictable nature UNLESS Hisoka has some completely new nen ability that will catch Chrollo by surprise
What do you think will happen when Ging and Hisoka interact? Or if they do. I feel like hisoka is very confident and cocky and if tries to talk with ging he won’t have any of it. Really want to see them together

And I forgot but what is that even about? Why did hisoka even want to talk to Ging?? Very interesting but I don’t think Hisoka knows that Gon is Gings son.

Biggest thing for me is that this 2nd fight won't be some staged affair. It won't be inside an arena. Itll be a street fight. An assassination attempt. A straight up mauling without trying to feel the opponent out. Whoever gets the jump on who first will potentially be huge unless the author wants to have them converse before they throw hands.
Hisoka is definitely winning rd2. Will it be enough to kill Chrollo? That is the question

Great video!! For me, i think that is very likely that someone will interfere with the fight, because that are mafia members (and Kurapika) hunting down each other / hisoka / spiders, so that are a lot of variables that can make the fight more unbalanced / intense and cool!
I still fail to comprehend why so many people think Chrollo needed all that he used to beat Hisoka. The whole point of that fight was to show that if Chrollo gets pissed at someone, he will defeat them in the most humiliating way possible. He had 100% control over that whole fight and made Hisoka look like a braindead moron who didnt know how to fight. Chrollo went out of his way to set it all up so that he would have literal absolute victory against Hisoka. Why would you assume he needed all this just to pull off a win ? Even in the volume extras after that fight, Togashi literally says that he wanted to write a fight where the bad guy talked shit about having assured victory and then actually winning. And even from a narrative perspective, with Hisoka literally throwing his life away in exchange for amped nen, fighting Chrollo who needed to write a Batman fanfic just to beat him... Of course he'd destroy a Chrollo fighting on an even footing with him, regardless of what kind of random bs abilities Chrollo has in his book, which he did not even elect to use in their previous battle. Having Chrollo rely on random tricks sounds like a boring narrative for someone like Tigashi to use anyways

the problem with most analysis of the fight is the pov of both fighters going in, as hisoka came in with the want of a fair(ish) fight. Where as chrollo only saw hisoka as an annoyance delaying the fight up to a year for prep as a way of guaranteeing victory which is shown by how he explains his abilities b4 hand, as that is a main advantage of his hatsu gone just like that showing just how confident he was in victory as he fights for survival whilst hisoka does so for fun really tips it in his favour come the round 2

And what if some crazy twist happens out of nowhere like Kurapika kills chrollo or one of the troupe members, and that alone triggers hisokas insane amount of rage and sends things into even moreee chaos. Like there’s so many endless amounts of possibilities for everybody in this arc it’s actually insane.

I completely disagree with the theory about Chrollo getting help, He is a specialist that can steal or use other people Nen abilities, he did not need any of the troop to be involved on his fight. Plus Chrollo knew all this time Hisoka was following him and wanting to fight him for so long, I am sure Chrollo would not make that risk.
I'm new here and only watched the anime. But, if Hisoka would like to kill the Spiders, would it be possible in the future that Hisoka and Kurapika team up to battle them?
I’m like very very confident that kurapika and Hisokas motivations of killing the troupe will clash and it will either lead to conflict between the two or ultimately them unintentionally helping each other. With hxh it could be endless possibilities.
I have another guess that kurapika may catch one of the members in a fight, get emotional, and tell his story about them killing his clan and taking their eyes and then one of the troupe members may hear this story and tell and very different story from what kurapika thinks actually happened and some sort of plot twist will be introduced

I doubt their words would affect him at all at this point--he's spent the latter half of his life brooding about his revenge mission.
He became a Hunter to hunt down the Spiders.
He crafted his Hatsu specifically to eradicate every Spider (with it being immeasurably more powerful when used against them).
It would be very disappointing to both his character and the narrative if his resolve wavers due to some half-assed story.

I think you are forgetting that Chrollo's plan and his confidence in that plan was because of Neon's fortune telling ability. He was able to "test" multiple strategies until he had one he was going to win. That's probably why Chrollo saw Neon's hatsu was gone from his book. Hisoka killed her to remove that hatsu from the equation.
Should do a covering how you think Hisokas backstory that was drawn by the Tokyo ghoul guy will tie into the story. Especially after the troupe just got their own backstory
I like your videos because you do not show your face, not to say your face is not worthy of being shown, but it keeps me engaged with the clip art and chapter panels instead of seeing a person talking
It seems you are severely misinterpreting the chrollo zoldyks fight. Chrollo was only pushed to the point of trying about halfway through the exchange. He was clearly just trying to feel out his new ability (the blanket) and felt confident enough to do so against 2 of the greatest fighters on the planet. On top of this, he is holding himself back and actively trying to steal either of their powers. That struck me as proof of Chrollo’s next-level nen genius and combat ability. Zeno’s lines all confirm it.
I think that the caveat that the bookstamp had that chrollo thought was a nuisance was that the ability users would have to be within a certain range or dead, this would make sense why theres certain inconsistencies like shalnarks ability being used like a phone and not a game device, and as to why there were so many gallery fake clones itd make alot of sense if chrollo changed their appearances with appearance swap and had them in the crowd using their abilities whenever hes not using them.
I think it’s realistic to believe that chrollo was creating a plan from the day he knew hisoka and him will meet a 3rd time.
As much as I love Hisoka, I’m glad he lost the fight. There’s more to a fight than bungee gum....😂😂

When he mark a copy with sun and moon it don't disappear even if Chrollo deactivated Gallery fake so he was able to create more puppets but Hisoka only after realized it

I don’t know chrollo hatsu is literally a book with dozens of stolen nen abilities. Hisoka pissed him off real bad so round 2 the gauntlets are coming off. Hisoka himself is more dangerous now considering his boost in post mortem nen. I could see this fight going in hisoka’s favor considering chrollo’s current state of mind.

hisoka would win in hand to hand fight based on the arm wrestle data from phantom troupe chrollo is actually weaker than hisoka and even machi beat him in arm wrestle but when it comes to agility i think chrollo is faster
plus hisoka is more of a plan while fight not planning before a fight and bungee gum doesnt consume much aura only when be uses alot of seperate strands of it but due to post mortem nen he can use alot more bungee gum since be replaced his limbs
and togashi comfirmed himself kurapika and the phantomn will eventually die he never said anything about hisoka dying
and tbere is a theory hisoka disguised as illumi based off how he was talking in the manga and tbe cover if the volume has evidence illumi is acting different
Yea... Hisoka isn't stealing Chrollo's book, since its conjured he can get it back. Furthermore, since Hisoka touched it that means Chrollo completed 1 of the requirements to steal basically ALL of Hisoka's abilities. That means the Bungee Gum is guaranteed to be stolen, so Chrollo will steal a postmortem ability that is considered to be strong/difficult to counter.
Because all that's left is to see the ability, which is Hisoka's signature move, and since Hisoka's body is made of it now. Just looking at Hisoka with gyo is enough to complete the task. Then all that's left is to have Hisoka answer his question before the hour finishes, all he would have to do is ask, "What are the properties of Bungee Gum?"
Edit: Just realized, Hisoka would of already answered without being asked, but I'm sure there's alot of questions Hisoka would want to answer.

Mostly kidding. Thats my favorite anime but its not relevant these days. Id actually love to see some content going over Demon Slayer. I know plenty of people have covered it, but maybe some what ifs on if certain Hashiras could have beaten certain Upper Moon Demons in a 1v1. Like if Akaza had run into The Stone Hashira instead of Rengoku at the end of the Mugen Train Arc.

I know how machi was involved in helping chrollo cheat. Hisoka during the heavens arena had both his arms and one leg removed and machi used her men string to patch him up. What if machi’s string was still attached to hisoka all this time. Which is why the leg and arm got removed because she probably decided to let go of her nen or use her nen to weaken the string. Hisoka probably realized this because it was to convenient so he didn’t want machi to patch him up anymore because she might do the same trick again. Because I find it to convenient that his leg got blown up but not other parts of his body.
Edit : after some analyzing I realized that maybe chrollo used convert hand to switch places with machi. Machi disguised as chrollo would attack hisoka and would jump in and out and they would switch. During this time machi was disguised as chrollo, chrollo would use fake gallery and puppet stamp but I could be wrong.
He lost only the arms in heavens arena and during this fight Hisoka lost one hand and a feet

You’re missing a huge point in this video. There’s never a 1v1 when it comes to fighting chrollo. If anything, hisoka is fighting the entirety of the troupe now. Chrollo didn’t show any signs of caring or blood lust with fighting hisoka. Now he actually wants to kill him with the full support of the troupe AND illumi. Hisoka doesn’t stand a chance in hell. There was never a 1v1 and there never will be a 1v1 so idk what the point of this video was besides the theory mentioned earlier on in the video.
Totally agree it’s most likely the fight won’t be a 1v1 but the answer to that fight is clear. So I did it assuming it’s a 1v1 because that’s a lot more interesting and a lot closer.

All these analysis is funny. It all comes down to who has more plot armor between the two of them. For me knowing togashi he will give it to hisoka.. hisoka will be fighting gon.. but togashi can give it to chrollo and make gon avenge hisoka since gon also wanted to fight hisoka someday.

well chrollo didnt cheat, but he literally had a year of preperation time to create the literal perfect conditions to fight hisoka. he created the moveset specifically to fuck up hisoka. and its not too far fetched since chrollo is smart af.
hisoka went to kill kortopi and shalnark since two of the abbilities chrollo used, were theirs. also since hisoka knows, that skillhunter only works if the original owner of the skill is still alive.
after his ''death'' he came to a revelation: hes not gonna let anyone choose when to fight him and how to fight him.

im confident that chrollo, bono, and shizu will indefinitely split up somehow because shizus fortune said beware solitude (being alone) in a room of black merchandise (kakin treasure), so maybe hisoka predicts they want the treasure and is lurking because he was "in" the troupe when they wanted the auction merchandise, maybe he predicts shizuku will use blinky to hold treasure as its stated that blinky can infinitely suck up non nen/ non living things. I think we might get a flashback on the fortunes that were half read/unread and that might be the cherry on top for shizukus death flags, or he is stalking machi/franklin since they are alone

1. Zeno overall is much more impressive than hisoka. Netero thinks highly of Zeno but doesnt care about Hisoka at all. Zeno was also strong enough to get pitou excited. Chrollo being above zeno is much more impressive
2. No one in the troupe actually thinks hisoka can beat chrollo. U cant even say theyre biased with ppl like nobunaga
3. Hisoka didnt even change his mind about chrollo after the fight , in fact the fight reinforced what he already thought
4. Ur underestimating the knife and blanket and overestimating hisokas immunity to poison
I think you downplay chrollos performance against the zoldycks. This does not in anyway helps the hisoka argument even tho you said it does. The fight was on the fly and chrollo had no prep and ig you can say he was pressured a lot in that fight but he still performed really well.
For one it was 2v1 but this helps the argument that maybe chrollo didn’t cheat cause he had to fight Zeno while at the same time keep an eye out for Silva that may not sound like much my Silva and Zeno are power houses. To top it all off chrollo wasn’t even trying to kill them he was trying to steal their ability’s he most likely would have performed a lot better if he was trying to kill from the start. That’s why the Zeno mentioned if the fight went on like it did he would have won but if chrollo turned on the switch and tried to kill them he would have won.
For 2 it’s implied Silva and chrollo fought before hence why Silva knows about chrollos stealing ability, this fight again could have been on the fly and it seemed like they may have stalemated each other. I think Silva may scale higher to hisoka since hisoka and illumi have kinda of a rivalry relationship and if he can stalemate Silva he could definitely win against hisoka or at the very least stalemate him in a on the fly fight just to get away and come up with a tactic to beat him.
Lastly im mainly talking about pre death hisoka after death is completely different cause we don’t really know how strong he got but imo it’s substantial but at the end of the day it may not matter cause it’s all speculation chrollo could have even more abilities that were better then the ones he used against hisoka so at this point we just don’t know all I know is we need to see the fight happen again!

well you never know how many tools chrollos has in his books. the author can always make up things to favor either contender. Hisoka has gotten stronger with his regeneration ability and stronger aura, and there may be something more. But CHrollo would have known hisoka got stronger because I am sure Machi would have told chrollo what she saw about hisoka when she learned other two troop members were killed.

@@legendxch I think the only reason he previously didn't regenerate his limbs in the Kastro fight was because he didn't need to; since his arm wasn't completely exploded and he had Machi to reattatch it when nen threads.
Now he doesn't have Machi so he's forced to adapt with his nen. Also Hisoka definitely stands a threat to Chrollo, only reason he got stomped was because of Chrollo's masterful prep, in a sudden confrontation, it's a much more unpredictable fight. So naratively he still stands a threat in my eyes even without post mortem nen boost

Yes it is, WHEN it occurs and only during the duration of it's existence.
Hisoka imbued his nen with a command to pump his lungs and heart after his death, that itself was a good example of powerful post mortem nen.
But Post-Mortem nen is something that exists outside of someone, it's someone's ghostly nen which only has power after their passing.
Hisoka didn't gain a boost in power from post mortem nen because he's still alive and it just doesn't apply to living beings.
Were this the case, then Camila would have so many post-mortem nen boosts that she'd be able to solo anyone on the ship even without her ability.
It would be a draw if on the boat, hisoka will win if on the continent.
I think Feitan alone can take Hisoka with his special ability Pain Packer.

So we just gonna forget about Chrollo's bookmark that allows him to use abilities on the page he placed it on even while the book is closed. He revealed this when revealed Sun and Moon Every move in this battle was explained. Plus Hisoka didn't want Machi's help cause he could repair his body himself with his postmortem nen. This theory falls apart pretty easily when you realize you left out important story points.

I don’t think anyone will to be fair. The strongest known character except for Nanika is probably Netero that came close to meruem. Even at that Meruem completely destroyed Netero, the Rose literally clutched up and saved the entire planet basically. But if Netero was the strongest (that we’ve seen so far) and barely did anything to meruem, I don’t think anybody else will come close to him (Yet). Nanika is probably the most OP broken character in all hxh though. There doesn’t seem to be limits to the wishes so one could simply wish to “kill meruem” and a simple ‘Kay’ should do the job, of course other than everyone around you dying there’s no limits. Especially for Killua.
