I wish that show could have shown religion in a better light. Lane’s mom was extremely judgmental, strict, and tried to force her religion on everyone. I wish people could see that’s not what religion is. That’s not how it has to feel - all stuffy and strict like it’s often depicted. I grew up thinking it was like that because that’s how people made religion out to be. In reality, Jesus has brought me more joy and freedom than I ever had before.
