Dave and Lane were perfect. They really respected and cared for each other. It’s a shame Dave had to leave the show. This is the kind of relationship this show desperately needed.
it was so weird bc he just disappeared after prom/lane's graduation from high school and they said he went to college in california but that they were doing long distance and then they literally NEVER mentioned him again, ever... they didnt even technically broke up (this all happened bc the actor that plays dave went to play one of the main characters in a show called the O.C.)
I wish that Dave could have come back for the occasional guest appearance. T_T He's just SO MUCH BETTER than Zach. Even just having the actor come back to film a quick scene here and there when he had the time free from his other show would have been better than the sad road Lane went down after he left.
They should have just recasted a new guy to play Dave. Sure it would have been so awkward but way better than the story line Lane was given. She was a badass and then to be reduced to not even following her passion as much because of kids. No, Dave would have been more riveting.
Don't get me wrong, I am wholeheartedly a Logan girly and I absolutely love Luke and Lorelai, but this was the only non toxic couple on the entire show
It would have been much better if they just changed the actor for the character instead of getting rid of the character. I think even introducing a new, similar to Dave character would be better than Zack.
Hmm for my thoughts, I thought zack just had a good personality but narly at the same time. So, basically I think Dave is better and also think there was a lot of common ground/understanding/a real relationship. I hate that the script was made this way
