Fr I wish we got more moments with them
Jess reads people so well. It’s crazy how fast he can pick up on Logan and deans red flags. The way Logan taunts Jess and the dinner. Jess sees his old behavior and you can see he learned to regulate his emotions better than when he was a teen. As for dean, he saw deans controlling co-repentant side and temper and picked it up so fast. But even in the dinner scene with Paris. He’s actually kind to Paris and engages in conversation and respects her intelligence.
You skipped through the bulk of their relationship :(
When he cleaned her house gutters, the water sprinkler scene, their conversations when she went to new york, the hurt of when she came back from summer internship to find him with another girl and him hurting that she left and never said anything to him. Their conversation after Dean broke up with her and he went to break up with Shane.
Their first kiss!! The most iconic of all the kisses. Them being awkward when they first got together, then being smoochy and happy, the tickets he bought her.
The last bus scene, that was their break up. Him calling her during graduation.
And the very last scene of Jess’ lingering look towards her in the revival.

After the bookstore scene, she should’ve realized Jess was better for her than Logan, realize he ‘s grown, realize what’s out there for her, and left Logan. Then should have come crawling back to Jess, opened up about the mess her life has been, and they should have been friends. FRIENDS. then close friends, best friends, he would’ve convinced her to publish MUCH sooner, and when they had a foundation of trust and friendship they would have ended up together. and the year in the life would’ve been about a young plucky journalist following her story as she continued to write while running a small publishing company with her husband.
Jess's "you seem to be obsessed with length" comeback to Logan's asseholery is both underrated and SO FIRE.
Rory was so protected all her life that she genuinely became nothing..
I wish this had included that ending from A Year in The Life with him looking at her through the window
When Jess showed up at her room, he was very pushy and wanted her to feel the same way he felt. But he forgot he left her before and broke her heart. I loved them together :(
How could you leave out the conversation (albeit one-sided) they had at her graduation from Chilton? That's such a key moment on their relationship.

18:54. Dean is the worst boyfriend. He kicks something to reduce his stress and that kind of person can punch his girlfriend or his wife SOMEDAY! I have read a lot of articles and reports what happened in real. + Dean keeps yelling at Rory whenever he observes Rory with the other boys and Dean yells even in front of the other people and it is not good.

And I think she really should have had a real wedding. For years they just lived like that, it doesn't suit them both 🤷🏼♀️I think she deserves something much better 😔💯

Rory is such a horrible person. You learn that only when being an adult
How? Lol? Not how is she a horrible person, but how would it take being an adult to realise she's a horrible person? I think that teens with a functioning brain should realise that a person like her is nothing to aspire towards and not a person to want to be around.
I dropped this show the second I realised that our sweet little Rory is the kind of person to waste her boyfriend's time when she obviously likes another guy, the kind of person who would cheat with a married man, the kind of person who would throw her entire life away by being lazy and expecting everything to be handed to her on a silver platter. This show was so disappointing tbh.
But the lighting director did a great job. And the actors were fantastic.
The makers of this show didnt read the room with these two...they should have put them together in the end

I'm a nineties girl but never saw this series. Maybe because I'm German and I don't even know if this series was ever translated. It didn't run in English on German TV anyway. Well, after seeing this I'm really glad, I didn't waste my time. Rory is a dumb girl for treating her boyfriends the way she did. I can't stand her, if I met her I would tell her that she's nothing better than Logan, she cheated on her boyfriends just in the same way. Kissing or sex - both are cheating. It counts where your heart is, not what you do. What you do is a result of what is in your heart. Plus, deeds can always be explained away... I wish the 90s sitcoms and movies wouldn't have taught our generation that you can do everything as long as you have a good explanation for it (some people may call that laying!!). Like when Rory lied to Dean on the phone that she was "a mess" and then Jess was at her home. And then Paris covered for her lie. I hate that. Girls that lie will never become happy in real life. You reap what you sow.
I like their talk in the car about Rory getting down in the dirt and taking risks for her job. Logan later used the same argument to get her to do that crazy jump.
I just like that Rory’s 2 most intellectual boyfriends were both trying to push her towards her future.
