Luke is a mood

It’s so rare to see Luke’s gruff demeanor soften like this. I love him and this episode so much! It had such a cozy and comforting vibe that provides you with this warm and fuzzy feeling inside 🥹🫶🏻 (I really enjoyed how we learned more about Luke’s character in this one, and how he was given more depth, and how he’s only soft around Rory, Lorelai, and when he talks about his dad, and later on, with Jess, and even with April, though I didn’t care for her much.) But yeah, it’s super great to see how he’s more than the tough guy everyone sees on the outside when he’s actually a big old softie on the inside, just like when Rory referred to him as one when he blew up balloons for her birthday and cried at her high school graduation. That’s her real dad, you guys! He’s the absolute sweetest when he wants to be 😭❤️

It's crazzzyyy. I think the problem is Chris was self-sabotaging. Lorelai said it plenty of times, she was all in and they could have worked things out if Chris had wanted to. You can tell Lorelai was really sorry when she corrected "I'm sorry you feel that way" for "I'm sorry I made you feel that way", which shows she didn't mean it and she was willing to fix it however she could to make Chris feel comfortable and confident in their bond. It's so sad cua it seems Chris tried to fight against his demons for her but he gave up

Love the Frank Lloyd - Wright story. It still makes me laugh.

I find it strange Rory was still written to like journalism. She only focussed on writing when she had an assignment. She wasn't making lists or brainstorming future article ideas etc as writers often do. And when she worked at the Yale Daily News, she often struggled to find a good topic. Paris instinctively knew (or by constantly reading various newspapers) what was over done and what was interesting. Rory shone in organizing and being a leader but not a writer. She didn't care about hunting a story down. Then of course in the revival when she's in London to work she also focusses on her personal life (the affair). She's not focussed or driven about the story. When she's in New York she doesn't have a book of ideas for stories with her to pitch at interviews....she falls asleep interviewing people & once again isn't focussed. I wish the show would have made her pivot and realize she didn't know what she wanted yet. Then spent the last year or two of college figuring that out.

Whqt really pissed me off was how when seeing Rory together chris called her "pretty"'while Lorelaivcalled her perfect and when chris had his second child, gigi he IMMEDIATELY called HER perfect WITHOUT Any kind of hesitation whatsoever, and yes i honestly truly do believe that in the end he got all the damn karma that he deserved for not ever being an actual father to rori (like how Luke was <3 )yet apparently he was havin ZERO issue with being there and raising gigi COMPLETELY ALONE.
