I drove a 66 2+2 GT in high school back in 1970 to 1972. It was the K code with a 4 speed. It had so much power I was constantly fixing u joints where it would rip the heads off the joints. I jumped on it one day and it spun the axel, broke the pinion off and dumped broken gears in the street. The u bolts broke and the body dropped onto the tires. All to impress a cute blonde! Lol
Personally not a Ford fan, or a stock pureist, but this Mustang fastback is wonderful. Like they left the lighter weight 289 in it, they just handle so much better with a small block. Maybe a Gen 3 Coyote as an upgrade?

The reason it's cracked around the hood scoop is the scoop is plastic Bondo or fiberglass will not bond to plastic
