anyone else love the spinning telephone booth part during the montage in the film
It breaks the 180-Degree rule beautifully! I feel it works because the phone booth itself is divorced from the rest of the setting so you loose the spatial relstionship to the surroundings and focus in on the character(s). Hopefully the scene DP recieved recognition for their work. I'd love to do an homage because it really is that badarse.
I searching for this song like 20 years!!! Big thanks!
Been trying to find this proper version for 20 years.
Me too!
I've been trying to find it since I've been 11 years old. Doesn't exist but in the movie.
25 years ago i was sure that was David gilmour on guitars... true
it's now officially released on a soundtrack re-issue!! ruclips.net/video/moca2B0O0RM/видео.html
@@Dustie1984 I bought this because of your post. I wish there was a way they'd advertise this to everyone.
I always wondered if that was Gilmour playing the guitar. It just has that touch on it. Huge musical influence on my guitar playing. Love this movie!
The hero we needed. It's a shame this song and others never made it to the actual licenced soundtrack.
it has now
Finally being released properly this year as a single for Record Store Day.

OMG YES THANKS FOR POSTING THIS, they're re-releasing the soundtrack with the missing tracks! ruclips.net/video/moca2B0O0RM/видео.html
@@PowerGlove79 Dustie I bought this because of your post. I wish there was a way they'd advertise this to everyone.
As a kid, I wanted one of these rotating phone booths.
It's definitely Gilmour & Pratt. I actually asked Pratt at a Q&A at Glastonbury, he admitted it was true. He's also hinted it previously in interviews.
Still amazing❤
I was active duty military when this film was released in 95. I did a year tour in Okinawa in 96. And when I came back to the US in 97, I searched and searched for this film on VHS but it didn't exist! But! I was lucky to find the laser disc and in letterbox for around $35 at Tower Records. SCORE!
Wow this is amazing, props to all involved with making this track and the proper mix.
I've actually met Iain Softley the director of Hackers and asked him about the unreleased Guy Pratt music - he's a big fan too and always regretted the music not making any of the cd releases, I believe it was a curious licence issue or some such.
Anyway I hope more fans of the film find this youtube channel as many including myself have waited decades for the score to appear without the movie sound effects and such.
@Wilt Chamberlain GOD of NBA It's going to be released now, Varese Sarabande is releasing a 25th Anniversary soundtrack that includes this as well as other previously unreleased cues from the film
they finally released this officially with a soundtrack re-issue!! ruclips.net/video/moca2B0O0RM/видео.html
@Wilt Chamberlain GOD of NBA Shit you're right, let's hope that might get corrected, it hasn't been out yet actually, pushed back to June
@Wilt Chamberlain GOD of NBA Nah there has to be some explanation for that. I hope the full version gets released one way or another in the end, it can't just be a fade out
@Wilt Chamberlain GOD of NBA OK i listened to the movie version ripped from the BluRay release and in the new clean version there is those 3 riffs that come after 3:08 which are missing, but at 3:20 the movie version starts to "loop" - it sounds like they pasted an earlier portion of the track over at that timestamp, and then the track also ends with a fadeout... so I'd say it's some 15 secs with these nice riffs that's truly missing from the new clean version
Película de culto y visionaria. La mejor banda sonora de la historia. Memorables años 90s!!
totalmente!
4/18 will be the re-release and it will FINALLY have this song on it!
Watched this movie as kid, inspired me to do the badass stuff I do now.
Hack the planet!!
Same here. :)
and what "badass" stuff are you doing now ? 😅
@@mysticmarble94 probably a lot more than some butthurt keyboard warrior 😁
@@ohms99 i was just asking a question mate 💀
@@mysticmarble94 the laughing emoji and quoting "badass" read otherwise to me. I apologize if this was not the case.
I appreciate the inclusion of that last scene... 😉

Weapon. Thank you for this and the FLACs. Cannot wait for the 4k release this month.
Absolutely mental
Awesome!!, been looking to hear this for years. Great job!!!
Good man for upload the complete track you have the heaven for this :)
Many many year ago i was casually in touch via chat with the assistant of Mr. Simon Boswell (the musc director of the movie), just because i was searching THAT TRAcK. She explained me that in the movies there are two kind of music: the songs and the score-tracks. The songs (originally composed or not) then are in the Soundtrack of the movie, while the score-tracks are small tracks for small segments or moments of the movie and normally are not included in the soundtrack. She said me that Simon Boswell requested a score-track for the Grand Central Station segment whan the movie was almost completely finished and that score track was composed, recorded and post-produced by Guy Pratt in just one night! In many site (Wiki too) the Grand Central Station is credited to "Deep Cover". I asked to Mr. Pratt too some years ago (don't remember if in his site or on FB) about this score-track... but no response. Never eard about Gilmour... and i think this is a myth born around the collaboration of Pratt with Pink Floyd. I think the guitar part is Guy Pratt too (he can play guitar very well!).
Thank you for this! Such a great track. I've always been annoyed that on no less than 3 soundtrack albums, this track was never released!
PS: It's spelled "Gilmour"
Fucking IP lawyers always find a way to ruin something good.
I did hear some background audio from "The Plague" at the beginning. I love this version because of the opening :)
Thx 😘🤩
Epic !!!
OH I ADore this. when i have 15 years i see for the first time
"okay, let's go!"
Now this is how it's should be done.
I didn't even know that was David Gilmour playing the guitar.
Тогда, будучи мелким, фильм впечатлил, сейчас без смеха не взглянешь, впрочем если абстрагироваться от визуализаций кибервзлома..., да и Джоли красавица)
wait, did David Gilmour actually contribute on this track? is there a source that confirms this? i've loved this movie ever since its release, and i've never heard that claim before.

Is it Angelina Jolie in the video?
I love Underworld, Orbital, Prodigy etc. but this was the tune that made this movie (and of course its David Gilmour on the guitar.. )
Very underrated film definitely one of my favorites
fuck your opinion.

Omg the intro!
Also Valet2, I'd like to say, excellent work. I like others, have been trying to build one of these for years. I've now managed to make a 320kbps MP3 rip for the car, which is much better than my previous attempt.
Would it be possible if you could consider doing the same thing with 'The Worm', it's from this scene: ruclips.net/video/bcAACOrgVKE/видео.html
Cheers, (been after the Hackers 20th Anniversary Bluray for a while, hard to find in the UK!, I could try it from the DVD but you have a much better quality bitrate source).
OMG, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
Awesome! These tracks were one of the main reasons why I was after the Bluray, (this along with Grand Central have been the missing links in the full soundtrack for so many years).
I tried to ask, he was quite reluctant to go into much detail in front of so many people, there was probably a lot of logistics of contracts when it came to David on Grand Central (usually the record company they're signed with would really kick off as they'd be after commission), even so, I could see them probably being eventually released on some form of solo album/bonus tracks on Spotify one day. (also, surprised in the lack of 6 channel on the Bluray release).
I do & I'm using it atm. If it's not to much trouble I'd be VERY grateful, if you can't be assed it's cool. :)
Many thanks. Done. (You may want to remove the FTP URL above) :)
LMAO! That ending had the best part of the movie!
thank you so much
THANKS A LOT VALENTIN......!!!!!!!
