So grateful for great Mexican food in Hawaii! Thyda's is another place that has great food! Aloha 🤙🌺
Thyda's is wonderful. I like El Jalisciense as well.
I discovered I fell in love with Mexican food while in the Marine Corps Stationed in Southern California in the early 1980's for years I use to complain that there wasn't many quality authentic Mexican eateries home here, back in the late 80's a Mexican couple opened "Bueno Nalo" in Waimanalo, I'd drive all the way from Ewa Beach to get my Mexican foodie fix, sadly they sold it a few years later...just wasn't the same after....Fast forward present day Honolulu, there is a wide selection of amazing Mexican eateries to choose from...IMHO For me, Da Seafood Cartel" is at the top of the list, there are many more....that said if you're ever in town or visiting the Islands ya gotta stop by the Cartel to start your Hawaiian Mexican Culinary experience....Cant wait to check out the MERCADO DE LA RAZA Market!....
one of the best food channels out there!
Dude. This video is so damn bomb! I can’t wait to try these places! Thanks for highlighting these local treasures. Much love!!!

Go to zaratez good mexican food on oahu .
I wish Zaratez was still open. Homie could throw down
It makes sense that you would find good quality Mexican food in Hawaii. It just takes amazing Mexican cooks, fresh seafood, an amazing Fresh veggies grown in volcanic soil.
Deliciosos tacos 😋 verdaderos cin esa señora yummi 😋🤤
This is beautiful! I love their passion. Passion is what define us, Mexicans 😊
Mexi Papa next time ask Gabriel Iglesias Fluffy to come to Hawaii to try Mexican food with his Hawaiian Shirt 😂
I lived in Timbuktu Texas for several decades and when I moved here I saw the word “Birria” everywhere and had never heard of it . Another thing I never heard of was “crema”. I was used to flour not corn tacos and sour cream not crema. But to be honest I don’t care, I just stopped even bothering with Mexican food here and love Polynesian and Pacific Rim and Asian food way better anyway. So not big loss. But if I ever crave Mexican I will re-visit this video.
That's OK. They'll no doubt embrace you with open arms. Blessings. "ISA"
Looking good ese, but Miller Lite cerveza?
i too was like wtf🤣 must have been on sale with the Butt Light

Lucky to be Mexican and Hawaiian best of both worlds.
Im jealous. Looks amazing mexi papa. You make the best videos. 👍🏽😁
I'm happy with the standard street tacos and burritos we get in Cali. Not the big fancy dishes
That's fine too. There's more than just standard Street Tacos in L.A. When I 1st went to Honolulu back in the mid 90's, I could not find any Mexican food. By day 3, I was going through withdrawals, so I went to their huge swap meet n bought ingredients n made a Salsa Fresca in our Hotel room. Aaahhhh, que rico. Sooo glad the Islands are embracing our wonderful food. Bless all Hawaiians! "Isa"
Que delicia. Ya se me antojo todo. He estado 8 veces en hawaii y nunca pude encontrar good mexican food

That's awesome to see how great these business owners are doing out in Hawaii. 💯🤘🏼😎
We see his lunchwagon every day at Pearl Harbor
If someone has to ask you “what are you going to do in Hawaii?” that means that they’ve never been there.
Adelante mi gente! Wonderful stories.
was crying when she was crying, never been to Hawaii, but moved from California to Colorado and didn't find every day stuff we were used to , like cotija, had to go to California to grab some , some towns here still hard to find basic Mexican ingredients , I love how Straight out Husk lady speaks English and Spanish so well like my family from Cali, so authentic ❤️ we still cook all food from scratch , my children love it
I'm in my late 60's & proud of my Spanglish. I use the correct verbiage most of the time, just English & Español. I'm not a fan of chopped words like, "brekas" vs "frenos", just a example. I won't correct anyone, to each their own, I just do my thing & laugh with everyone. La vida es muy corta, I treat everyone as I wish to be treated. Vivir, reir, bailar, gozar, Amar, orar a Padre Dìos, bailar, cantar, comer, cocinar, compartir & all that brings everyone together. Peace be with us all 🙏. "Isa"
Great vlog boss and great to see you travel to Hawaii keep up the great vlogs and hope some day i can visit these places but big it up from the U.K. 😊😊😊

El Palenque...Barrio Café...Surf & Salsa food truck...Cholo's Mexican. I have tried all, except El Palenque, & even some Mexican friends said..."These are Good places!"...
There Is Good Mexican food in Hawaii...Imua/Oralé!
Mexipapa high five, felicidades solo te falto la coca mexicana😅.

Mahalo Mexi Papa, The quality of Mexican food has really improved over the last 5-10 years. Back in the day (early 2000's), many of my friends from the West Coast and ex-Coworkers would always complain how terrible the Mexican food is here. Haven't heard any complaints over the last couple years. I travel to LA/Cali about 2-3 times a year and tried many different Mexican restaurants and food trucks, got to say Hawai'i's Mexican food has gotten better. You would never see a Trompo/Al Pastor or even freshly made tortillas, it has improved. Only thing that's hard here is keeping the costs levels down, since everything is shipped here.
Nice to see that the people who say we don't have good Mexican food are just flat out wrong. My one issue is that the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce lady got the numbers wrong. Hawaii only has about 1.5 million people so how we gonna have 1.4 million Latinos? All the demographic data says 11% or 159,000 people are Hispanic, over a third Puerto Rican from the plantation days and almost a third now Mexican. Unless she's hiding 1.3 million people somewhere she misspoke at 38:48; The numbers have been going up but not nearly as much. But thanks for the video as there are places I plan to visit now that I never knew about
Mexi Papa I'm surprised you haven't gained any weight after eating all that delicious food.
Proximamente voy de vacaciones a Hawaii y era justo lo que necesitaba este Video ayudo mucho a planear lugares para comer comida Mexicana..Gracias..
Looks like awesome food, but you forgot two restaurants located in Wahiwa. El Palenque and Barrio Cafe.
Da Seafood Cartel has to be the real deal... because at 8:39 in the interview there is a rooster walking by the restaurant!. Cool vlog. Gilcortez from beautiful Grand Prairie Texas ❤
Mexican food is great, and you can get it here in Hawaii, what I would like o to see on the Big Island east side is a good southern BBQ. Everything is Asian here, white rice with everything, how about something different like a good Southern BBQ restaurant. They don't know about grits and eggs here, it's white rice and eggs. You have to pay extra for toast here also, what a scam. $4 for one piece of bread toasted. Breakfast does not come with toast here, you pay through the nose for a piece of bread because of the greedy restaurants.
Hola como estas? Originario de Cancun ahora vivo en San Francisco California yo !! Me a punto para trabajar. Me gustaria un cambio de aire nunca e visitado Hawaii y me gustaria esta en el bucket list. Ahora estoy de Manager of operations for the Golden Gate Ferry ⛴️
Which island is the seafood cartel located? It looks sooo good!!
They're on Oahu. Right near Aloha Stadium
The entire episode is filmed on Oahu.
Hawaii is one of my favorite places in the world love Hawaiian food love Mexican food and beautiful beaches
When I first moved here, I was so disappointed in the Mexican food on the island. The only one was in Wahiawa and too far away. It's so good to see the restaurants that have popped up over the last few years. Thank you for sharing this.
mexican food the best food in the world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are 1.4 million Latinos in Hawaii we represent 11% of the population which is 160,000...so there aren160,000 latinos or 1.4 million? Please help me understand this math.....
She left out Mexicans. We Mexicans...
Thanks for explaining Enrique, she had me going, too. Oh, Mexican.@@enriquehernandez8993
Mexican and latinos is two different things. PR. cubans, S Americans I know philippines that speak spanish
1.4M on that island. Approximately 11% being Latino. No breakdown on what part but I’d imagine a decent amount identify as Mexican/Mexican-American considering the stats are military bases.
What does that have to do? I wouldn’t trust a Cuban or Colombian to cook Mexican food
Mexican women are beautiful, great cooks, and they got your back if you need to throw hands!😅😂😊

Greetings to Mr papa from Guadalajara but when I watch him eating really me dan ganas de comer , come bien sabroso , goza la comida en cada bocado.
Saludos
So there’s 1.4 million Latinos? Aside from the actually population of every race in Hawaii? And there’s 160 thousand Mexicans of that 1.4 million Latinos? So how many is the population in total on such small islands? Is her stats correct? Lol or is 1.4 million the entire population because she said that’s just Latinos
Honestly. I think she misspoke lol Hawaii’s total population is 1.4 million
@@chasingmillions5253 she definitely did
You kicked Ass on this one @mexipapa !! Chingon compa everything looked amazing and you did amazing research on everything, well done compadre!! 🇲🇽 🇺🇸 🥑🌶🌽🌮🌯!!
