Bud..Bro...Brother..... Thank you... I was like literally ready to order a new Blower Fan until I stumbled across this Vid. At full throttle I lose all air thru the vent until I let off, then it comes right back.. Undid the fender liner and Wow, the vacuum line had disintegrated... Gonna replace it this weekend and that's probably the reason I get a Hunting Idle for approximately 3-4 seconds on warm startup.. Cold start up no hunting at all... Thanks
this is the best ever video that explains the system .. I had the issue when driving i het air through the vents but the air goes to defroster when letting off the gas pedal. no one could explain this until now...
Heavy G312 the puck shaped item is another vacuum reserve canister, but it is used only on the emissions system. If you’ve removed your egr, you can safely remove the tab/tad solenoids on the back of the strut tower, this under fender reservoir, and all associated vacuum lines.
Leech Motorsports it would be great to see a video like this on the EGR system. Thanks for translating all this old forum knowledge into video like this!
Mine will come out of my dash vents most of the time, but it'll randomly switch to the floor vents, and it'll stay there for sometimes minutes, sometimes days, then randomly go back to the dash vents. Do you think that might be an issue with the check valve getting stuck? I think if there was a leak then it would never go back to the dash vents.
That would typically mean there is a pressure switch cycling due to the system needing to be recharged or the fans not keeping the a/c system cool enough to maintain reasonable pressures. Pressure switch could also need to be replaced.
Hey, I have the vacuum line running to the vacuum tank on the check valve but the previous owner plugged up the one running into the firewall, Where does that vacuum line go into once its inside the firewall? Is it easy to access if i need to run a new vacuum from the firewall to inside my car? Thanks again, great information.
Do I need the line that has check valve going to upper intake from canister... it's a 93 cobra intake on 87 harness maf conversion A/c... Heat ' egr' tad/tad are all deleted
I replaced my heater core not too long ago and the heater worked perfectly as well as my ac. Now I have no heat at all, I made sure to check the coolant level and that's topped off. Still no heat. Any idea what it could be?
Did the heat quit immediately after the heater core install, or was there a period of time after the install that it was still working correctly? Does air blow out of the vents at all?
I'm just trying to figure out why mind not blowing out anything thru the vents Jumped blower motor outside on battery Replaced blower resistor Replaced blower speed switch still don't have anything Was working before I torn my motor down now it doesnt

Good video for redoing the old lines in these cars... RIP to JRichker
For real!. JRichker shared SO much information in the earlier days of the internet. True pioneer.

Thanks for posting. I deleted it. I'm good with just the defroster
Phenomenal Explanation - Many Thanks.
I'm guessing the deletion of the EGR system vacuum lines - would just be plugging that systems source line?
This is great. Appreciate the very detailed description.
Thanks for the feedback. Happy to help.
Thanks so much this was so helpful.
Thank you!! Amazing video.
I'm beyond impressed !! Thanks bud!!
Thanks man. Again, I’m no pioneer on this stuff. But I am trying to carry the torch for a new generation of fox body lovers.
@@LeechMotorsports do you know what the black hockey puck thing next to it ?
@@LeechMotorsports btw. I disconnected the valve and round thing and caped the hose. Works fine

Good video it help me a lot
Thanks Rafael!
Amazing video, this has all the good stuff.
I've got two vacuum lines coming out of my fender. Are there two reserve cannisters essentially? One for hvac and one for smog?
Yes. The one shaped like a sphere is for hvac, and the one shaped like a puck is for emissions.
Thank you, I appreciate the reply
Nice thanks
I been looking for an answer to what the B/R port is for on the vacuum distribution block one the fire wall. What is that used for ?
Break booster
thanks nigga, appreciate it!
Would boosted applications amplify this issue? Or should I definitely leave the canister with valve?
Well put!! What does it mean when the a/c motor tries to turn on but turns right back off (and keeps repeating till you turn off the a/c)?
That would typically mean there is a pressure switch cycling due to the system needing to be recharged or the fans not keeping the a/c system cool enough to maintain reasonable pressures. Pressure switch could also need to be replaced.

It ultimately goes into a vacuum port in the back of the hvac controls panel on the center console.
you could zip tie the defrost door closed then you would only have the main vents or use a choke cable to manually switch between main and defrost

A/c... Heat ' egr' tad/tad are all deleted
Are you planning to run the defroster or is that deleted also?

@@LeechMotorsports it worked for a couple months with no issues. Could it be a heater check valve or the air diverter vacuum control Solenoid?
I'm just trying to figure out why mind not blowing out anything thru the vents
Jumped blower motor outside on battery
Replaced blower resistor
Replaced blower speed switch still don't have anything
Was working before I torn my motor down now it doesnt
Leave the a/c on the car no reason to remove it

So WHY?
It's not that heavy.
Zero positive benefits.
Only negative operation.
I'm assuming it's an anesthetic thing for show cars?
Great Upload! Exactly what I was searching for!!! 🦊🤍
