700 for that is crazy; its a meme gun. I was thinking sub 500 but I don't make the things of course. Can't see me getting one but I can see the appeal to get it for giggles. Better off looking at sub 1k lever actions or 5-6 shot big bore revolvers for that kind of money

@@aaronkeener95 I don't know who told you that, but we have not been in Califonia in quite some time. Most of that has to do with laws specific to California like Prop 65 and it being illegal to manufacture a pistol capable of chambering a 410 cartridge. That's the bread and butter of our business, so it doesn't make sense to be in Cal. I'm sorry if you were told differently a while back.

what is the most powerful ammo you can run through this? i think your manual mentioned something like 2300 fps? only as a last resort of course...
Hornady and Underwood probably make the most powerful. They both exceed 2000fps.
@@BondArmsInc would a 430 grain or 500 grain bullet at 1300-1800 fps be too much for it? i think they make them in both velocities.
It would be great in to paid the CA roster fee so I can get my bond arms pistol.
There are several reasons we don't sell in California, and the roster isn't a big deal. We're on the roster in Maryland and Massachusetts.

45 Colt is enough to handle so I can't see the 45-70 being of use unless you live in bear country and use it for a backup.
Like Gordon said, we've been asked for 27 years to do a 45-70, but we wanted to do it right.
