    Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

    At one point i was doing $2000 in heroin a week. Combined with crack for a few days, meth maybe one. Started with a benzo script and an 80mg oxy. I just stopped one day, no program and no medical help. Im now a Registered Nurse. I love the education you provide on your channel. I wish i could work in addiction medicine but im afraid it will unleash some hidden trauma lol

    Man all I struggle with is alcohol now but that's because I realized the crap I was getting and using is definitely different from what it was 10 years ago. I've been sober from everything but alcohol and the occasional joint. But this stuff now days is something else that I won't ever touch again and I hope others will learn

    Thank you….my son is currently in the system, in jail and poly addicted for years….benzodiazepines, crack, fentanyl, alcohol and lord knows what else. Not the system nor our lawyer takes seriously the medical risks, the agony, the suicide risk he is experiencing. He is catatonic with no ability to react, speak. We have no access. We had him a day away from rehab when he was arrested.

    I struggled with alcohol, even though I hate it, I could never stop after the first drink.unfortunately this led to cocaine use to “sober up”. Cocaethalyne is very bad compound. You get it by mixing alcohol and coke. I am doing well myself by staying away. I don’t do coke sober and only do it with a drink. So…. Cut out the alcohol.

    I kinda wonder if you did that on purpose cuz coke and mdma contradict each other. It kills the empathogenic side and seretonin effects... our friend popped a frankly unsafe dose becuz you nev3r know it was over 300mg tho.

    I am an Addict in recovery. I don't agree. If you are a first time person in rehab. I don't think mat is good. Now if you are a 2 time or 30 times in rehab then yes. Sub shot is the best way. I can't stand methadone. It's the worst mat ever. And no addict can hold narcotics. There has to be some places to go get it. Suboxone shot is definitely the way to go.

    Dr. B., if a patient wants to come off clonazepam, and you switch to diazepam, is that (from a clinical viewpoint) a step in the right direction? I take clonazepam, but I have always thought diazepam a much 'milder' drug. I know there are benzodiazepine equivalency dosage charts that show that clonazepam is much more potent than diazepam (mg for mg). It's possible that when I switched to diazepam, I've been taking less benzo load simply because my doctor didn't want to write for 4x10mg diazepam pills per day (I take 4 mg of clonazepam per day). Could you give me your view on this?

    • @loribenintendi5843
      @loribenintendi5843 5 месяцев назад +1

      I don't know what the Doc would say, with that said, taper darling , every day keep tapering. You can do this. I have been there, & if I could taper n get off of benzos so can you! Believe & take it one day, at times one hour at a time. You CAN DO THIS. I'll be praying for you.

    • @DrBAddictionRecovery
      @DrBAddictionRecovery  5 месяцев назад +3

      Absolutely. In the case of Klonopin, if there is an indication for a taper, you can do a couple of things you can do a switch to something like volume, but you can also stay on Klonopin and let the doctor manage the taper. It is really dependent and I try to give Patient as much room in this issue because they are always so anxious.
