Love Dallas, one of my all-time fav artists!! Fun fact his name is Dallas Green, that's why he goes by City & Colour. Some of my favs are 'Coming Home,' 'Hello, I'm in Delaware,' & 'Woman,' just to name a few. He also has a full duet album with Pink under the name You + Me.
The song is about his good friend who drowned when they were on tour in AUS in 2019. Hence the water and imagery throughtout the video. The lyrics take on even greater meaning when understanding the immense loss that inspired the song.
Dallas Green consistently puts out music far above the quality of the modern day music scene. He has an unbelievable voice. The harmonies you were hearing in the second verse were actually him as well, but the other harmonies during the chorus and such were the rest of the band. He often does his own harmonies because quite honestly I don’t think many have the power and range to do what the harmony demands haha.

I'll add these to the reaction playlist. Thank you for the recommendations
Don't forget Alexisonfire, he was one of the lead vocals

May want to listen to his cover of Alice in Chains’s Rain when I Die! His voice is like a good wine, gets better with time, somehow.
He does an amazing cover of (rain when I die) by Alice In Chains.
Oh yes I’ve seen it! Aren’t they great? ❤
It's going to help me now. 40 years... nobody talk to me until I'm me.
