    Nice that you had enough fabric to rescue the top to get it the way you want it and I hope you can rescue the paper cutter, too, although I was thinking it's still a great sturdy surface for something...I just don't know what - crafting of some sort? It was so sweet to hear your little one in the background 🤗!

    Don't worry about remaking the sweater. That is definitely part of the sewing process. Looks great, and I love this video!

    I work with leather and that looked real to me! I'm thinking the 082 on the back might be the square footage, 8 1/2 sq ft. Good find!

    Try adjusting and even sharpening the blade on the paper cutter. Your sweater is gorgeous!

    If I may make a suggestion: when JOann has 40% sale on Interfacing (or use your single cut fabric coupon), purchase a bolt of lightweight, non-fusible interfacing. It's easy to see thru (for tracing purposes) and imo, more durable than paper for tracing off patterns.
    All the best!)

    It was cool seeing the things in the estate sale as I have never been to one. Great purchases too.

      Glad you enjoyed it, I often debate whether or not to add stuff like that to the video but I'm happy it did.

      Oh my goodness, it really is! I honestly don't know how this pattern was cut from their catalog - it's such a staple.

    Aww, little ones humming is the sweetest!❤ Do you have wrapping paper? That works well for tracing, too.

      Yes I do! I don't know why I keep forgetting about that hack!

    Love the sweater! It's so cozy looking! Great finds on the estate sale, too! Nothings better than finding a cool vintage or out of print pattern at a decent price. Now I want to go see if there's any new sewing things at the one thrift store in my area that seems to carry craft stuff! Thanks for the fun video!

      Thanks so much! 😊I'm glad you enjoyed it! Sometimes I think the thrill of a good thrift hunt is just as exciting as finding a gem. Unfortunately, my thrift stores have been quite a bust for thrifting crafting goodies, so I was very glad to stumble upon such a good estate sale!

    I'm hearing rumors that Joannes is closing and you're the second person that I've heard say that Joannes isn't restocking their store! The other person was Lady Rebecca fashions in Washington state.

      Oh my goodness I have been wanting one of those old-school paper cutters to trim edges off my PDF pattern pages! Good score!

      I heard the same…

      @thecuratedcurvy  11 месяцев назад

      same, they're quite pricey new so I knew it was a good deal! and what a shame about Joann's. They're so close to me that it would be such a bummer if they close as the next fabric shop (of preference) is 45 minutes away

    I have had good luck at art supply stores like Blick for tracing paper - it seems to be cheaper

    • @thecuratedcurvy
      @thecuratedcurvy  11 месяцев назад

      I checked them out, they have rolls for the same price as Joann's but double the amount of paper! Thanks for the tip!!

    I was looking at one of those paper cutters a whole ago and they saw the price was a leg and an arm 😅. So you got an awesome deal! The quilting fabric also 😍

      Isn't the fabric so lovely?! I'd also been looking for one of those paper cutters lately which is why I RAN when I saw it on sale 😆

    Have you /do sell the pieces that don’t work? I think you could.

      Love this idea, would that be too weird for Etsy? or maybe like my personal site?

      @@thecuratedcurvynot too weird for either, just make sure listing it and shipping it is easy, you don’t need another job 😅😅
