+Corner Booth Games Damn, he sounds beyond good here. I just ended up on this one after watching the April 2015 performance of Vasoline that generated controversy. I just had to hear him in his prime. We miss you, Scott.
Scot Weiland was fired from STP in his prime. He wrote and provided powerful voice to a lot of my favorite songs. When he was fired he was asked by slash to do a partial revival of guns n roses called Velvet Revolver. That was also badass. As much as I love his vocals, I think drug use has knocked it down a notch. Totally my favorite singer of all time though.
now that's the scott i know and love. this performance was about as good as anything he could have put out in the 90s. such talent laid to waste by drugs, it's very unfortunate. i hope he's in a better place now.
+Sam Ace Rothstein i seen stone temple pilots perform in detroit when they got back together, first thought in my head when i seen scott performing was, 'now thats a rockstar', great artist he'll be missed
My sons mom and I saw them like 2 and a half months later at Voodoo Fest here in New Orleans. They were fucking awesome. Played like 3 hours. They were just so good. Scott Weiland was on that night. So glad we went and saw them .
yah this is BETTER than the recorded, dean's added guitar fills put a new great twist on the song...GREAT PERFORMANCE ledzeplover2...they only released four vids from the performance, hopefully more will come!!!
at this point in time of life he still had spirit and a decent beautiful voice. too bad he couldn't get his demons in control. cant wait till we get to hear his wonderful voice again. if ever we get that chance.
I saw these guys for the first time in 92. They opened for Megadeth of all bands at Viking Hall in Bristol TN/VA. It was a high school gym. I thought they were Temple of The Dog until afterwards. They opened with Crackerman, and I remember Scott using a bullhorn. Damn I miss those days.
when I heard that Scott had passed, that gave me a beautiful image of him being greeted at the pearly gates by Kurt, Layne, and Jeremy (his solo band's guitarist whom passed away earlier this year)
as one who doesn't believe in an afterlife, that's not really what came to mind for me, I just kind of sat down to take it all in, like I did when Layne died, listened to STP and thought about how he had an amazing career and touched the hearts of millions
+Larry Johnson Can't forget Andrew Wood from Mother Love Bone (If you haven't heard of them then I advise you to give them a listen) as well as Shannon Hoon from Blind Melon
The was Scott's last great run...I had the chance to see them 4 years in a row after their return. By the end of it you knew Scott didn't have much left in the tank.
REPLY????, i love it, a great song o´90´s stp, the best, on a southearn train only yesterday....Excelente tenia 16 años cuando la escuche el mejor alternativo de los noventas, aquellos tiempos... I had sixteen when i heard it..promisess only time go by...PILOTOS DEL TIEMPO DE PIEDRA, all the tihings you have said to me, From Quito ECUADOR, love it
It's more of a crunch than a straight overdrive or fuzz pedal. On my little Fender Champion DSP 30 I can get this sound with the volume on 10 and then INCH UP the pre-gain until the sound level comes up to where you want it. On my stage Renown 400 I put the pre just a little higher than the master and then move up the saturation until I get what I want.
I never realized how talented those guys are. I saw them on David Letterman some years back and it must have been a bad mix. I wrote them off a scruffy, hyped up punk band, but I was wrong. Scott really is a powerful vocalist and all the musicians are top notch.
the end of a beautiful era. RIP Scott.
+Blackfoley You're so right... didin't thik about that... so sad...
that's your fucking era, not mine haha
Man, Scott sounded so good here.
+Corner Booth Games I got chills from the very first note. Rest in peace...
+Corner Booth Games Damn, he sounds beyond good here. I just ended up on this one after watching the April 2015 performance of Vasoline that generated controversy. I just had to hear him in his prime. We miss you, Scott.
Fan-tas-tic indeed!!!
+Chris Dixon try Chicago 2010 whole concert is amazing.
I hope his children watch his performances. If I was his children I’d do anything to bring his concerts back to life. Just love the dude!
.ardaikja2jajajajaja
With all the time they got robbed of from their father by his career, I bet they just wish he was around for them more.
yea.....children of rock stars are usually normal.....
He was sum man live

Hard to say Goodbye to one of the Greats, RIP Scott, Your Voice will live on forever...
😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔
The drummer's always had an incredible drum tone!
12 years later... but completely agree! Underrated drummer imo
RIP. Thanks for trying until the end.
Dean DeLeo is a great guitarist!!!
One of the best songs in rock, and one of the best voices too!
Goddamn... that is boss. The chorus of my youth.
It is a beautiful chorus indeed
Weiland had that magic in his voice. That depth, soul but also deep pain...it all came out so magically in his singing. So hard to replicate.
now that's the scott i know and love. this performance was about as good as anything he could have put out in the 90s. such talent laid to waste by drugs, it's very unfortunate. i hope he's in a better place now.

Gonna miss that great voice and stage presence without hamming it.,..he was one of a kind
He was a cult of personality all unto himself. Just amazing spellbinding individual 😊
Beautiful. I can hardly believe it's 2008 when he's singing here, it's like he's back in '93!
My sons mom and I saw them like 2 and a half months later at Voodoo Fest here in New Orleans. They were fucking awesome. Played like 3 hours. They were just so good. Scott Weiland was on that night. So glad we went and saw them .
Never seen a lead singer more versatile, handsome and perfect a Scott
The most elegant man who ever stepped on this earth! R.I.P Scott
Rest in Peace, Scott!! one of the best in the rock world!! will be missed
god I miss these days when music was real from the heart and souljust saying!!!!
+Clayton Thibert If you think music today doesn't have soul, you're not paying attention.
Such a good song from such a good band.
yah this is BETTER than the recorded, dean's added guitar fills put a new great twist on the song...GREAT PERFORMANCE
ledzeplover2...they only released four vids from the performance, hopefully more will come!!!
One of the few things I miss about the nineties, the others things include my youth and unshattered dreams.
glad i had the chance to see him in concert in 97 with STP... one of kind voice, beautiful man
Best song from STP and one of the greatest rock songs ever! If only he never used drugs. RIP Scott

The Kings of their era.

Genre
at this point in time of life he still had spirit and a decent beautiful voice. too bad he couldn't get his demons in control. cant wait till we get to hear his wonderful voice again. if ever we get that chance.
