Having seen and talked to Scott many times throughout the years, this is the point in time where he had the most clarity. He was at his peak and unfortunately, after that it was downhill. I still consider him to be one of the greatest vocalists and performers of all time. He is now a legend. Thanks for a great memory of him.

Same --- we met him many, many times over the years - and what a nice man he was -- just could not battle the demons he so sadly was just riddled with -- why i do not know. First time I met him he was wearing all red and a big Cat in the Hat hat ---- he loved that hat!!!!! I will never forget it. A talent beyond without doubt ad again - a nice man indeed. RIP Scott.

Agreed, there was a time that Scott was quite possibly the world's most thrilling frontman...he had the whole bit. He really did it well. Pearl Jam would not have had the honor to cater these guys' Christmas party....that's what makes seeing those godawful videos of that band he was in when he died so hard.

Scott’s voice is exquisite here. So quietly powerful. Gives me chills. Stripped down DeLeo on an acoustic, you can really hear everything in Scott’s voice. The tremolo, the inflection, the rasp, the sustain, the perfect pitch and incredible tone right in the pocket. You can tell he’s clean and very focused here. If only it had lasted and he’d stayed in this state of mind and lifestyle. Things may have turned out differently. 😢
This is a bare vocal, meaning there is nowhere to hide mistakes or an off pitch in this kind of instrumentation. Which DeLeo plays beautifully. And you must have the core and vocal strength to sustain notes at subdued volume. Not. Fckng. Easy. At all. Then to gradually increase the strength of volume like in the magnificent Atlanta (my favorite STP song all time, for deeply personal reasons related to it). Only to lower it once more. He had terrific vocal control. Also, Their musical chemistry is really apparent here. But gods was Scott gifted. Pretty incredible performance.

Mannn, all these years later, here I am mourning him yet again, for what is surely not the last time, either. When someone mentioned how he died alone in his tour bus, I was halfway through Atlanta and lost it, out here at 4am freezing in my car choking down a cigarette, halfway through getting over COVID, all crying and singing and smiling and dying a little more for him, somehow wishing I could wake him up and stop his ultimate demise like some sort of Quantum Leap outtake or some shit. But no, at least I do get to enjoy this all new and special all over again because of RUclips. What a catastrophic loss to the music world. It really doesn't get any better than this, and I feel bad for those that never get to hear the full catalog of all the beautiful things he created with this unbelievably talented band. Don't sleep people, you can't go wrong with their whole discography. Front to back; with Weiland on vocals it's all killer, no filler. Every member gave their all and they were a match made in heaven, so happy I'm still able to uncover hidden jewels like this one from time to time. We miss you Scott, you were truly a gift to this world and I can't wait to join you on the other side.

Scott will forever remain my 2nd favorite rock singer of all-time. I will never get over the shock of him being gone. His music defined my life. Gone but NEVER forgotten. Let his legacy live on...

STP might be the most underrated band of all time. So much more versatile than Pearl Jam, no idea why PJ is more popular.

Cause stp and Alice in chains kinda sounds similar. That's probably why pearl jam is more popular. But stp were great it had that grundge sound but a little something else to. Maybe disco or something. It was grundge with something

Love Sour girl any damn way as long as Scott's beautiful voice is the ONE singing it! It is an incomparable voice that I so want to be back in our lives. I know he is gone but darn it, why? Why? Ok I'll be ok but it's missed, it sure is missed. I hate that his life was short lived. Much trouble in his soul. May he have peace now. He gave from his heart that is a fact❣️ thanks Scott. Deborah

Amazing to see in 2000 Scott wearing Sony MDR-7506 headphones. I'm just an amateur audio dork, but those have been my go-to headphones for the past two decades as well, I have a pair on my desk right this second. True industry standards.

I love "Sour Girl." Not just because it's an amazing song, but also because it truly proved that STP was more than a "Pearl Jam ripoff" as many people felt they were when they started out. Scott had a great Eddie Vedder-esqe singing style, but songs like "Sour Girl" proved he had range beyond just that iconic baritone.

I live in Seattle area and am a huge PJ fan, seen them many times but as far as I'm concerned,Scott and Ed are two totally different singers..I do however hear similarities between them but I can't define exactly what that is because I'm not a musician..I thought it was insulting to compare STP to PJ,the more I listened to the s.t.pilots..

I swear to God I dont see how anyone can call him a baritone. I believe he was a tenor who sang low. He has a naturally high speaking voice after all. It drives me crazy.
