I was bartending at a small bar in Charleston SC and in walks STP. 2 or 3 of the band members, including Weiland(eyeliner and all), bellied right up. We were slow that night, was either a Saturday or a Sunday, and no one bothered them, which was cool. Weiland was mellow, quiet, and polite but seemed generally disturbed. I don't think I saw him smile once. This was sometime in 1997. He had 4 double bourbons on the rocks(SC state law only allowed mini bottles at that time, so 1.7 oz x 2 x 4) and they left about an 1 hour or so later (with girls of course) :) He was a good tipper too. @@Donna777 I came across an article about Scott because Ive always had this feeling that he just didnt overdose. I know this may seem out there but we all know he fought the demon of Heroin yet something still didnt sit right with me. So, here it goes...I read a statement where Scott basically admitted he sold out but put it more in words of yes I screwed up and give in to this New world order. Oh I have so much to say I dont know where to start but with his first album Core you see there is a Witch on it holding a crystal ball and they call it scrying. I do believe Scott may have had demonic influence against him but he still fought against it. Some of the people that came in and out of his life werent good for him. You never seen Scott do things like throw up the hand gestures or symbols like many other in the industry do. I believe Scott was given a overdose. If you look at him up until he started with his new band he looked well and as time went on he really went down. You know how the witches and masons go by the numbers thing. But, it is said that the town where he was found dead had a high level Masonic temple there. Also, he died on killabrew drive. He was working himself to death to pay for child support and Mary wasnt kind in her article about him and the childern but you could see he loved them dearly and wanted so bad to be able to see them more but he stated she made it hard on him. I might be wrong but his new wife it was said liked to go to the hollywood forever cemetery for the movie night and events. Most all of those women Courtney love, Linda Ramone, Pamela De Barres, and others go there and have a Coven meeting in the Masonic temple that not many know are on the Cemetery property. There is more but Ill stop here and let you do your own research if you want. But, yes Scott was something special and I will forever love and miss him. Hope you dont think I am a conspiracy nut. Chris Cornell , Chester and Scott are all worth more dead than Alive. Scott was an easy target. Peace!

This is how I want to remember Scott... raw, dynamic, at his peak, larger-than-life, with his perfect voice. It is still difficult for me to watch his last performances, even though his voice was still there.
There’s so many things I love about this band but one thing that always struck me being a huge fan of rock’n’roll is, they had the classic lineup ‘a la Zeppelin etc tight powerhouse drummer, a groovy invented bass player, a riff master guitar hero, and a brilliant lyricist/rockstar frontman. Their music has aged like a fine wine, chefs kiss👌 R.I.P Scott you did good
You know a good singer when they spend most of their time out in front of the monitors. That shows total confidence in one's voice. I've never seen a performance like Weiland's...... Very special.
As a professional musician that’s just bonkers to me. He had to be totally relying on side fills (speakers aimed at the stage) which… while singing is just a nightmare. Folks that have never done it don’t realize: if you can’t hear your own voice, because those amps and drums and PA are WAY louder than it, you can’t sing on key. He’s roaming everywhere with total confidence. No in ears. A gifted performer at his peak here

he's a little off out of the gate, but that is what it is... alternating between a wavering falsetto and his full voice in the chorus of Coma... but man, he's just an animal when he's in his element...

Robert's bass tone taking exactly zero prisoners. Beast :) Great micing on the drumkit too, that snare is phenomenal!

No matter how many times I watch this concert, the high voltage vibes still spark off it like crazy. Peace!
Met Scott in Houston...all I can say is he was completely humble. I appreciated him taking the time to greet us fans. A genuinely cool dude.

Scott, Layne, Chris,& Kurt are not dealing with Covid19 social diatance, and they are still helping me deal with it, and I thank them dearly🤟💞
David Lane wondering when we'll see crowds like that again. Or a frontman like that again for that matter.
Dbomb Danny just saying there are not a lot of frontmen like Scott. When he passed a few years ago the Rock & Roll world lost a good one. Seen STP a couple times. Solid singer and so charismatic.
Oh shut up.
This is the biggest thing I want back. I hope we can all be able to experience concerts with tens of thousands of people again. I miss it. I miss shoulder to shoulder in the front few rows. Hell I even miss the occasional thump on the head from a suprise crowd surfer
Good point
what a band !
with an incredible frontman
Rip my friend
I keep coming back to this live video, its just soo good! That Plush performance and the way the crowd just follows everything Scott does is amazing.
