    On tip number 4: You do get an event before killing eikthyr, but its the easy one with boars, greylings and necks. This event can be very beneficial, as it will give alot of meat, resin and leather in the early game, wich you will need. So make sure to "harvest" this event a few times to get some much needed free ressources :) Sometimes you can get lucky, and the event will spawn a starred boar for you, so you wont have to go looking for one to tame later.

    Excellent list! The only thing I would have added was at 5:30 in the video I believe I saw some of those little sheds that are partially made of core wood. You can make a crafting table close to them, and destroy them to get core wood early game, without having to venture into the dangerous black forest for pine trees till you're a bit more prepared. I still consider myself a noob, and all of your early game vids have been EXTREMELY helpful. Thanks!

    I partly agree with the "run away" tip, it is useful in later biomes, but not in Meadows when you have a torch in your inventory. Early game creatures are afraid of fire. It is enough just to take the torch in your hand and boars and greylings will stop attacking. The same goes for "common" greydwarfs in the Black Forest, although shamans and brutes ignore fire, so one need to be careful there. Using torch is much easier since in early game your stamina is low, and running away does not grant escaping. Aggroed early game mobs can follow nearly forever if you are not able to sprint sufficiently fast and long enough to make them loose interest. I use to aggro starred boars to make them follow me from their spawning point to my base even if it is on the opposite side of the island. If you do not run too far from them, they just keep attacking.

    • @valguy4u
      @valguy4u  Год назад

      I gotcha. Just letting people know that if they get into a bad spot they can always run away. Especially if they get too close to the BF or any other biome

    -build a club and use it as your primary weapon early on, it's so much help to have that leveled up for the third biome
    -do NOT build a raft, thing's useless. Unless you're on a very small island, wait until you're later in the game and can build other types of boats

    • @valguy4u

      I don't remember saying that you have to sleep at night, I do remember saying don't be out at night. This video is for newbs and it is a bad habit to be out of your home at night if you are new to the game imo. Stay inside, organize your storage, add to your base, cook your meat. Basically all the stuff that needs done while your at home.

    Is Yagluth giving you a hard time? Try to breed Lox near his spawn! I did it with 20 two star Lox and he destroyed within 2 minutes🥳
    Sure, it will take some time, but seeing him getting completely wrecked without even attacking him by yourself is beyond satisfaction 🤣
    Always fight Greylings with your fists! If you keep it going you also can punch grey dwarves. And with a high level of unarmed fighting you can even punch deathkitos later on.
    Chimneys are not really needed. Just leave a gap open if you habe a high roof. That's totally fine. In this case, were the cross was, just leave that gap open. Also on the other side and you're good to go. Bonus fact: Vikings did it the same way. They didn't had any chimneys.

      When I fight Yahluth I like to take no less then 50, 2 star wolfs. Usually they have him 80 to 90 percent dead during his opening animation.
      Venting smoke, or having the fire go out was one of my struggles in the beginning. I didn't understand that you could simply build a chimney to avoid these problems. Had I known about chimneys it would have saved me a lot of beginning building grief. Though looking back it seems like common sense lol.

    DO NOT pick up everything. Your inventory will clog faster than a viking toilet. Dandelions will not be useful until later in the game. Do not pick them up. You will only need a very limited amount of flint (about 25 in the beginning). Greydwarf, Greydwarf shaman, Greydwarf brute, Neck and Boar trophies are all absolutely useless. Do not pick them up. Deer trophies are useful and you should get them. Also if you need to escape from non missile enabled enemies (Necks, Greylings, Boar and melee skeletons) You can jump up onto one of the rocks that are about your height and they will not be able to reach you. Additionally the axe has a special (middle mouse press) function that will enable you to strike downward and hit them while they cannot reach you.

      Pick up not all or yes? Very streng questions. All items are yusful. You can not a plenty time i see youtuber play a Valheim, in time giveawei bone for inventory and 2 minets will 100 for somthing. Or if you have not a time for a coal, are this items very helpful. Yes, not a so mutch , bad still.For samply: Dandelions are only a first biom. Are you sur if you nedet for banner time to time from mist teleportet? And tropfy are the best for coal. One thropy give you one coal. Bad with flint some reason you have cool idea. For 50 coal you nedet 500 flint. :D

    I wish CoffeeStain would release this game on the Satisfactory graphics engine. The content and building/crafting system are awesome - but the washed out graphics are "less than" this game deserves. I know it is a style , but imagine it as clean and crisp, (Satisfactory/Icarus/etc) with Viking stylizations.
    Yes Please!

    • @valguy4u
      @valguy4u  Год назад +7

      Great question. Everything in Valheim is either no star, one star, or two star. Think of the stars like levels. The higher the level the harder something is to kill, BUT the better drops you get. So a regular boar will drop 1 leather scrap and 1 raw meat. A one star boar will drop 2 leather scraps and 2 raw meat. A two star boar will drop 4 leather scraps and 4 raw meat. So if you are starting a boar farm, the higher the star level the better for drops. You will get double the drops with one star boars, with the same amount of food to feed them.
      If you bread a one star boar with a regular boar, the one star boar will make a one star baby boar. While the no star boar will make a no star baby boar. Once you have the baby one star boar you can then kill the no star boars, and just like that your boar farm will produce twice as much drops.
      Hope this helps. If you have any more questions let me know.
