Thank you! Yeah, I have experimented with a couple of ways to find the center point and found that this way gets me there fairly close each time to getting that circle around in place :)
That also means you can create a floating base by digging out the ground underneath the whole thing. I was just building between them and putting towers on top of them, looks like my options will drastically open up once I get enough iron

Nice way how to figure out best way to use the stones for support. I've built quite a few log cabins on these Stonehenge places, safe above the ground from most monsters.
I didn't like the roof at all, too many gaps for my taste. But I loved being elevated on indestructible pillars of stone. So I built the floor of the platform and just erected buildings on it. I have a 4 x 4 building for the bed. It has enough room to place everything needed for a 15 comfort level. A building for storage containers, a building for crafting with a workbench, forge and cauldron + two fermentors and two brick ovens, an area for a kiln and a smelter and lots of room left over for future crafting builds like an Eitr refinery and a black forge. Thanks for the Video showing how to construct it!

Did a similar build like this with my buddy! Awesome to see someone doing something similar. Would love to see these be places to put dlc boss trophy’s in the future
Love building on these stones. When I start a new game, it's my go to, get off the ground early using a couple of stones, until I progress to Iron age then I go full circle.
Really enjoy the video. Instructions are very clear but when it comes to constructing the outer circle portion, the orientation is off and looks different than yours. Is there any way to get in touch with you so you could help me out in my world? Would be appreciated because I feel stumped. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! The setup of the outer circle is ofen a little tricky as those stones seem to have a small random component as how they are place depending on the landscape etc. So often there is some trial and error to find a good center. Just need to start and if you see its off, try and start a little offset from where you did and see again :)
Thank you! Yeah, centering it is the hard part and often requires a bit of trial and error. If you can find a stone circle that has a flat area at the start its often a little easier.
hmmm, not sure, you would need to use a lot of vertical support beams if at all possible. It is around the limits of the core wood in height and tough you do get support from the stones it might not be enough. For a similar build on the ground it would be no problem.
Awesome! Thank you! Yeah, the 1m can be great for measuring stuff. I kinda wish that there was a faster way, like some kind of measuring string like they use in construction that one could place out :)
Any problems with structural integrity? You built a giant hulahoop over all stones to sink the build material into the stones. Would it be possible to build each stone its own Nested hulahoop, either at the same height or even different heights... to pull the whole build into one large terraced stepping floor....naturally once all pillars are established and the mesh sunk into the rock... your inner working floor space would be the huge inner area, with a ceiling or even layers...
As long as you use iron beams then structural integrity should be no problem. I dont build too tall here and I used iron beams also for the roof sections. Just make sure that the ring of iron beams touches all the stones, so that they have blue integrity in those places. The nested hulahoop type build sounds awesome :) Not sure the size of rings and such you could build but in theory it sounds cool :) I have never tried anything like that, let me know if you manage to build something like this! :)
ooo, I havent checked that and it depends a little on how you build it. You dont have to do as much iron as I did in this, can change some of the stone with wood floors etc. But it makes it easier. So I'd suggest having around 100 iron and 1k wood at minimum and some core wood and you should get most of the basic done :)

Maybe this is possible without iron, using corewood, since you have middle support as well. so you can start this in early game and upgrade to Iron later
You should be able to do it with corewood, but will probably need some more vertical support and you would need to do wood floor etc of course :) and the fireplace would need to be on the ground unless you manage to balance it on a stone :)I guess you coul raise some ground as well for support.
