im currently having trouble unlocking the driver side door. i own a 2009 Kia Rio, and when i insert the key, it takes many tries and turns for the key to finally fully turn and unlock the door. im wondering if this is an actuator problem or something else
Hey man, I have a Kia Rio 2007 where the cable that’s attached to the inner driver door handle is snapped and the door is stuck close. Any advice on getting that open?
If I recall correctly, there should be 2 metal rods goes from the handle to the lock, one for door handle and one for locking the door. See if you can unlock the door using the key from the outside.
Take panal off, very similar to the front one. Usually there's 2 metal rods going from the door handle to the lock. Check the joints, should be connected using plastic joint, see if that's broken. Local autoparts store should have them.

Do I need to remove the panel like you did to swap the power window and door buttons or can I pop it up while panel is still attached?

Once you take the door panal off you can see the mechanism and find what's not functioning part

How do I fix a back door lock. It's broken from the inside.

My mechanic tried to tell me that removing the panel was a big job
how much is a mechanic gonna charge me for this?
Don't know the book time for it, but I think an hour for labor + parts would be sufficient.
