The only problem with the GTS is that it always arrives a lot later in the model cycle. Early in the model cycle you only get offered Taycan, S, 4S, Turbo & Turbo S.
As a Tacan Cross Turismo driver i love all the Taycan related content on your channel!
I got a black CT turbo S since fall of 2021 and put about 23k miles on it. It is stunning, fast, and a huge joy to drive on road trips and as a daily. I am sure the GTS would be plenty (especially with US speed limits) but it wasn’t available when I bought and like you said in the video I didn’t think 4 or 4S was crazy enough… no regrets at all. Best car I have ever owned.

Hi Kyle. I think I understand why you would usually look for the highest power car. I drive a Taycan Cross T, and decided against the Turbo S, because the power difference is basically only available in Launch mode. Well, I don't do any more traffic light drag races, so I didn't see the need to pay an extra 25k or so. And I love the bTaycan like you do. Thanks for your great videos.
Agreed turbo S only has the power bump on launch control at all other times it’s the same 640hp between the two. Went Turbo myself with no regrets and saved a little chunk
I would love to see a series about the value proposition and long term value of a new EV vs a used and older with miles higher end EV. For example, new leaf/bolt compared to a used say 2015ish model S high spec with 60-100k miles. I bought my wife a new Ionic 5 that we plan to keep long term and I have been looking at how much used Tesla we could have got for what we spent and it has me wondering if we made the right choice.
I was thinking of making an used Taycan my next car (a few years down the road) and was just thinking "Man, itd be great if Kyle would review the trims of the Taycan" and couldn't have been a better news!
I'm also curious to know what you consider are must-have options :)
what are your thoughts on buying a used EV in terms of battery life?

I'm really looking for a comparison video between the Cayenne S and the Taycan GTS.
I understand that one is an SUV and the other is a sedan, however in terms of driving experience and comfort for a daily use they are sure comparable giving their almost similar price range.
I'm leaning towards the Cayenne simply because I already have a Sedan, but the feedback on the Taycan makes me second guess my decision since I don't care about the extra space, (only the driving experience).
I’ve been debating new vs used as well but on a CT4. The way I’d want it woukd come to about 117 new with current pricing. Problem is that equivalent CPO cars are all over 100- even for a 21. And there aren’t many to choose from. I believe Porsche financial is still offering a 7.5k lease incentive on new ones making the gap even narrower. I keep waiting for the big depreciation that everyone predicted with these cars but it hasn’t materialized yet.
Btw if you are able to get a GT3 at list price it’s a no brainer to do that. You could basically have a free car for a couple years
Love HDR videos ! Wondering why not all Out Of Spec videos are in HDR. Are you guys limited on making other videos HDR by using non-iPhone cams ? Love the car too 😊
They are a bitch to edit if you have non hdr footage in the mix. Final Cut just got some good updates making it easier but it still sucks.
@@randomrud I think savagegeese has some videos with HDR / non HDR switching and they do look funny on HDR screen. But those guys seem to be using “real” cameras and no Apple stuff in general, probably no Final Cut there .
Logical conclusion in your final analysis. Turismo isn’t quite my style in a look over the sedan but I’m thinking that would change once I sat in the back at 6’. If I can’t get comfortable then guests can’t either so it would be Turismo. Still would have to hit the lottery before I could but it is the ultimate EV. 19:21
The refresh is not expected to drop until next year for MY25.

Hope you get it. Just remember deposits mean nothing at Porsche until you get the allocation spot lol. I had 5K down for 2 years on a gt3 just to get it rug pulled. 150k ADMs are the norm now 😂😂

Just curious, since I’ve noticed in Mercedes-Benz is Audis and BMWs that when you sit in the front seat, the seatbelt will give you a tug to hold you in place when the vehicle was started Does the Ticon also do that?

You should check the used market for a Taycan to hold you over until the refresh.
Your plan make sense to me. Here’s my stupid takeaway, not related to the Taycan. I also search out support poles in garages to help eliminate the possibility of door dings. It drives my wife crazy, but I remind her that I’ve been doing it since are first date. Have a nice trip.😊
