Replacing knock sensor in Honda Odyssey

- The "check engine" light was going on and off (Mechanic was also able to hear a "knocking" sound.). The code showed knock sensor failure. (NB: My mechanic was able to read the code even when "check engine" light was off - whereas Dealer said they can't read it unless it's on. Dealer also charged $120 just to read the code, when it took 3minutes for the mechanic to read it with his 300$ code reader that he bought from amazon...). Then dealer quoted 3 hours to replace this sensor (i.e $400 !). I felt that too much and ask a local mechanic if he can do it. He said he would, even though he has never done it before. So he did it, in 2 hours ...

Good friend. My truck is a Odyssey 2005. What is the part number and where do i get the knock sensor and its connector, since un México it complicated. I need to remove the intake ducts as the rats made a mess and i need to clean. What are the torques ir the nuts and bolts when replacing the intake ducts. Cheers

Very poor demonstration. Explains nothing. Where is the information? What size is the socket?
any update? I just got this code on my 2010 with 70k miles. Removed spark plugs to see if there was indication on them from knocking and they all look the same. How did they know it was bad sensor and not actually knocking?
I did mine today after the code indicated it was the knock sensor. The fuel economy dropped by about 100 miles per tank, so that was another symptom. There was also noticeable pinging as the van would accelerate from a dead stop that sounded kind of like a loose heat shield.
What size socket was required?
