Thanks for this video! I just did the job today, and it all worked out smoothly. We had a P0325 knock sensor code, and once I had the intake manifold off . . . sure enough, the wire was chewed off and there were rat droppings, pecan shells and firewall insulation in there. I replaced the sensor, and I got a steel braided harness off Amazon. But the real solution here is that I just got two cats last fall. Looking forward to passing smog tomorrow! - Zak
Thank you for the video, Mice chews off my knock sensor as well. Taking off all the hoses are the hardest job. Did you install the Harness wire? i saw you took it out and didn't see it on the video, I believe you installed it otherwise the van cannot start.
For me: engine light on and P0325 knock sensor code on the OBD reader. In CA, you can't pass smog with an error code showing, so I had to replace the chewed off harness to smog and renew registration. There were no symptoms for how the car was running -- it's just that the computer detects the broken wire on the sensor.
