It's bizarre because it's mostly live but the whistling is live AND tracked, then they keyboard and bell sounds are all tracked as well. Why not just have a keyboard player who can play tambourine and whistle?

They have a bunch of stuff on playback presumably via the sample pads. The whistling is doubled (the back-track one is in tune, the live one is out of tune and spotty). The organ in the verses and the guitar in the chorus and also obviously on playback, as there is nobody playing those instruments on stage....
The drummer uses a pad with samples. At 2:57 he forgets to do a clock-sample for example. The whistling and all the other background effects are also a samples. It's not playback.
