it's kinda weird remember how much time has passed since I listened this for the first time. I still enjoy it, it's amazing.
America's national anthem is so beautiful
Edit: what’s up with the likes lmao
That's fucked up. But, I admire your sense of humour haha

One of the best performances on a live late night show. Sound was perfect.
Digno de ver y escuchar para recordar una reunión de amigos que entre cervezas se discutían los temas musicales, 13 años más tarde, aquí de nuevo recordado los viejos pero cercanos momentos!!!
Xd
2011 was the time when i just finished High school and was looking forward to life and the future. There was a sense of optimism in the air. Good times.....
Damn dude..you doing alright?
@@joshbrown377 yeah I'm doing okay. Seen my shares of ups and downs since, recieved my share of growing up. That's life.
Appreciate your humanity and concern. It is what brings us together.
Probably the best TV mix I've heard in years.
this song never gets old like Robert's classmates
Brooooo
His vocals sound really great in this version. It's one of my all time favourite songs.
The guy with the miracas and the keyboard. Looks like the guy in high school that was cool as hell and smoked 2 joints with you in your '95 Corolla before school. Then acted like he didn't know you between classes and at lunch.
Omg too damn funny. Gotta keep that shit on the DL. Don't ruin my street cred
Awfully specific 🤔
Ya I knew that guy.
Tell me more about YOUR story.
Sounds weirdly specific but
the live whistle alone is a masterpiece already
It wasn't live 🤣 but it sounded great.
The sound mixer killed it. The backing track is better than the album version and the vocals cut through perfectly
it's literally the only thing i can do better lol
@@crippycooke8743it was live.
no@@Cero01One
@@randomhumanonearth777 it is live. Marc Pontius said in an Interview in 2016, that the Band is always playing live. He hates the Popculture with their playback shit
My gym teacher would crank this song up when we would run track
2018
After making you do track, he wouldn't be able to do that cause-
That is fucking twisted
mmm i love when gym coaches play songs ab school shootings at school
Wut
I was fortunate to see this live
2011 was to early for this phenomenal song
Nah, it was too late, music today is trash, all the best songs were written decades ago
@@jacobstarling5835 well sorta good shit is still coming out for example roses album cranberries avril lavigne album by her mgtm album and little dark age by mgmt. And the 2017 music by foster.
Tyler Knepper it’s trash anyway
2017 is too late for you to learn English grammar
Really? Why? This song was a big hit when it was released.
Still an insane bass groove 10 years later!
"I don't know what to do with my hands"
liam gallagher solves all
Josh Hogan My thought, exactly!
"I don't know what to do with my hands :v"
I thought this was a school shooting joke..... My bad
Thats okay ron just put them down
This is one of the best live mixes in history…
I don't know whether to applaud how amazing they are live or run away because of how terrifying this song is.
"happiness is a warm gun..bang bang ,shoot shoot" BEATLES
Markie Winters Most people don't want to kill people, like around 99.1% of people; but some people dream of life without them...
Markie Winters I didn't even know this song had dark lyrics until I looked them up. Always thought it was an uplifting song about sneakers or something (pumped up kicks) haha.
Markie Winters i agree with you, the song sounds so cool but this really scares me after all those fucked up school shootings we had, i cant glorify this ethic or lyrics
May I suggest you watch the video ,Foster the People interview about MTV censoring there hit single
I love that effort haha the guy who's playing piano and doing maracas at the same time
Kinda reminds me of Jim Carrey
Have you seen the last part? Hahaha. He's really having fun tho.
Someone ought to give the sound mixer on the show a raise! They did a good job of keeping all the dynamics of the music intact. You don't see many people do that nowadays.
I noticed that, too. Almost every other live performance on a television show has the vocals so focused that it's really distracting.
I agree, but go Avs! :)
Heard that. I just hope the mix was as good for the audience in studio as it was over TV. Great work on the board.
I'mEdmonton Oilers fan. Great music!
Quite simply the best version of this song I have heard. Brilliant performance
Can't stop listening to this. Awesome live version
The undeniable GOAT of maracas on full display right here folks. This is history in the making.
Best version of this song. It actually puts the studio version to shame.
This is the performance that introduced me to Foster the People and I could not be more thankful for it.
Those drums sound great. The bass just hugging the drum’s rhythm and love it.
This is truly live. I'm getting goosebumps.
Love this live version. Lead singers voice sound pleasantly different. I was surprised how good they sounded live. A credit to the group.
Este es el resultado que obtienes cuando haces algo que amas, que verdaderamente te gusta, te apasiona, te motiva y cada vez lo haces mucho mejor. Excelente trabajo chicos, si esa canción antes me gustaba ahora me gusta X 1000.
I just remember this song blowing up on radio and my physics teacher loved it. Literally played it for a week during the last 2 minutes we had to get to class on his computer full blast. Think it's weird now, but still one of my favorite teachers.
damn can't believe it's been 4 years... time really passes by...
Hi
Now is 6 years

@@wiremanartay! I remember when they were ‘Art Lord and the Self Portraits’. Good ol’ fashioned N.C. art rock. I still remember hanging with Will and some mutual friends at whatever that record store near Mars music was in Raleigh back in the early 2000’s.
They killed it!!!
Lols i don’t mean to be negative but that’s sad bruh
The Torches album is absolutely brilliant and this Californian band is exceptionally talented. They sound acoustically awesome live!
This song never gets old
sadly, also never gets irrelevant 😥
One of the best live versions of a song ever on a late night talk show. Just magic and these guys are very talented musicians :)
WOW! They killed it! Even better than studio version! Gonna be repeating this one alot.....

Craig Ferguson was seriously THE best late night talk show host EVER!!!
Miss the theme song with video of Craig & his puppets doing the town up right- he has that unbeatable combination of intelligence, humor and charm sounds like a simple recipe but nobody's bested him yet in the night talk show format.
I feel confident in saying its not just the nostalgia factor. This was the era of the greatest late night shows
AGREED!!
