If you needed MR and the game went on longer, it might have been good to build Mercurial Scimitar and then Cleaver. Alternatively, if you built LDR then you would still have an item slot left for MR, like Maw, it would just take some time.
Merc Scim would give you more leeway with Veigar's cage too.
You are extremely correct. Old players like me tend to forget changes to items that have existed for a long time. I did not realise Merc Scim has Critical Strike Chance. Thanks for the comment!

You need 60% crit to get Navori's passive so 3 crit items (Navori, Shieldbow, Scimitar) should be good defensive options and then full tank.
Personally, full AH Shen with Goredrinker gets similar results with more tankiness
This is just my opinion, what do you think about the navori build?

Small thing to note: Riot implements crit smoothing. This means that consecutive crits on the same target reduce your crit chance most of the time. Except for some weird edge cases, consecutive autos against a minion don’t increase your crit chance, meaning you want to switch which minions you’re autoing to increase your damage against the wave. One exception to this rule is that at 60-70% crit, when you have, say, 3 crits in a row, your crit chance actually increases. What this would imply is that in game you want to keep autoing the same minion once you’ve crit them once. However, this isn’t the case for lower crit chances like 15%-20%/ anywhere below 50%, meaning you only want to go for consecutive crits once you’re in the 60-70% crit chance range.
According to my calculations, if the first number Is bigger than the second number then it's a good build.
Dear xPetu, this video has inspired me to create new shen technology that i like to call JAKSHEN with a little twist to it
What is needed for this technology is the following: lethal shempo runes, jak sho the PROTEIN and bork. Then you can go crazy and buy either wit's end, nashors tooth or whatever your heart desires. The technology absolutely perfect, down to the last minute details.
I was very tired this days because of all the bad games I had with Shen, despite I was trying my best everytime. After watching this video I got the last m7 token (but not with this technology) and thinking about all your advices made me so happy. I'm really glad to know you Shensei and I admire the way you enjoy playing him because it's contagious. I really hope to get better and better :)
QSS crit item would have been a nice second item to deal with Veigar. But you sang Nightwish so this video is 10/10.

What I've seen is if an ability is considered an auto it won't increase. Dekar173 tested rengar q recently so I assume it's the same thing.
