The Room was watching a man with an unknown nationality who acts and looks like a zombie try to act like a human being. It was also produced and directed by said zombie, and the quality dropped accordingly. It's a very good-because-it's-so-bad movie.

I've done the math and give or take the budget was only 37,370 but they wanted 480,000 right so what did all the other money go to I'm sure it wasn't editor's and actors cause they only have 16 of those apparently and that wouldn't warrant a couple hundred thousand dollars right
Maybe it was for obtaining the rights to make the movie as well as rights to use locations?
Would make some sense, since there'd be far more expenses for filming and production than just the equipment. Alternatively if they planned on trying to get the rights they at least should have mentioned that. Doing so would seem as a backward way of going about it unless they planned on using the kickstarter to show there was a demand for it. This has happened before with a few games*. But considering the source material's popularity such a thing would be pretty pointless. It'd also be unlikely that they would be trusted to spearhead the project.
*Backers weren't all that happy when they found out that they were used for this purpose. Basically helping a large company lessen their monetary expense. It may have turned out better if mentioned upfront. But backers only found out after the fact.
