If people actually wanted a shitty 'Anubis head' PC case, then market would already have more cases like it. There are actual reasons for computers cases look the same; Alot of computer desks have compartments for Tower PCs, Cooling is a lot easier when your not trying to ensure good airflow through a fucking dog head. Plus If I have a 3D printer, I can make my own case.

The design of the sphinx also looks completely shitty. It’s more like a Lego Duplo kinda figure in super large, all rounded edges, no details whatsoever... Getting this would be like putting a giant infant toy under your desk instead of a sleek looking machine.

It's also used to mean when you have a 3rd party assemble it for you with custom parts like Origin PC or ibuypower. More people need to realize how easy it is to assemble the parts...you end up paying like 20%-25% more just for about an hours' worth of labor and an hours' worth of installing OS and drivers.
@@Capnsensible80 If you can customise the order you make from a 3rd party, and the 3rd party gives you recommendations, puts it togther and sends it to you. Then that is a custom PC too. But if they have picked out everything, and put it together, and selling it as a full package, it's no longer a custom PC. That is no different from any other manufacturer putting together their own PC. No manufacturer is producing all their own parts, not even Apple.
@@Capnsensible80 oddly I priced it all out for parts picking and Origin and only ended up paying $100 more for them to piece it together. Worth it for me as I'm not responsible for breaking anything.

2014 or 13 is when I bought my computer for 300$. Only thing I could afford to replace is power supply, and only because old one combusted (not really, it just died quietly) for 10$. My whole family has income of 800$ a month, can't spent that amount of money on something I don't really need. I am Computer Graphic Engineer, and can do rendering and simulations just fine, if a little slow. We in third world are also people, you know. Its not just a myth.
People like me? I have done nothing to you. You have money, I'm happy for you. I really am. Government is (comparatively) not corrupt. Playing victim card implies I was hoping to gain something. I really did not. As a matter of fact, I am content with current situation. I have enough. Basically, I don't really see the point of terabyte of space, I have 500gb, and had 80gig before, and even 3gigs at one point, but that is like ancient history. Never filled it up, except second one, when I download too much crap. It happens to the best of us. I know there is first world, but you are minority. Now, to my shame, I have not been really following computer components last few years, so I have no idea what is that you just listed, but I would do just the same if I had that PC. I don't think it would play better music or make me better artist or programmer. As for laptops, no shit, I have those, too. And what the hell am I supposed to use them for. We used to carry them with us when we go traveling, but phones are pretty much superior at this point. Maybe for people who work and travel this is not truth, I would not know. all my parts were spread across the top of my desk for a while until I got an actual case. surprisingly it didn't overheat
My pc case was 50€ and its a cooler master quality case, has a basement for the psu, I find it kinda good looking and is just a good case. I do not understand why more expensive cases are better. And I do not understand why this anubis shit exists.

If they wanted an extra thousand dollars, they shouldn't be so sneaky about it. The 300 dollar price tag on the Anubis case already includes that extra. So really, it's a thousand dollar profit over the profit of selling the head.
At the same time, kickstarters are great because it allows people to do the initial investment of their product by guaranteeing their initial amount of customers and necessary margin of profit. Kickstarter really isn't just some place to gain funds to open a potential company, no one wants that. If that were the case, then the first products to be given to the pledges would be more expensive than waiting for your company to be fully established, but that doesn't happen.
... Just let the costumer choose how much they want to give without being sneaky about it.
