I love the show, but I don't disagree. Season 5 had a perfect ending. Although season 8 was great, and the other post season 5 seasons have some pretty good moments, the show just needs to end sometime.
It has EXTREMELY rough patches, but season 8 was great for the most part, and season 11 has had some of the best episodes I've ever seen. The thing that's really taken a hit is the character development, though. Apparently the writers don't have any more to say about the main trio, because they end up acting more like mindless drones than actual feeling people for the most part. If they cut the newer seasons down to around 10-16 episodes and left out the fillers it would be a whole lot better.
I gotta agree with this guy on Big Bang Theory. Had to sit through a couple episodes at a bar once. The jokes are terrible, plus I'd like to punch that Sheldon guy in the face. Hard.

For a more constructive answer I dislike the Big Bang Theory because the writers pack alot of "geeky" references and "nerd" tropes in the episodes as a substitute for actual comedy.
It's funny how "smart people" is one of the few demographics left that is still totally socially acceptable to try to make fun of. I say, "try" because 90% of the comedy in shows like big bang theory just goes like, "smart" person says something "smart," then "normal" person says generic "could you repeat that in ENGLISH" cue laugh track. I love the show, but I don't disagree. Season 5 had a perfect ending. Although season 8 was great, and the other post season 5 seasons have some pretty good moments, the show just needs to end sometime.
It has EXTREMELY rough patches, but season 8 was great for the most part, and season 11 has had some of the best episodes I've ever seen. The thing that's really taken a hit is the character development, though. Apparently the writers don't have any more to say about the main trio, because they end up acting more like mindless drones than actual feeling people for the most part. If they cut the newer seasons down to around 10-16 episodes and left out the fillers it would be a whole lot better.

Most of society is so stupid they need to be prompted to laugh at comedy even if it was in front of a live audience.
+Shanaシャナ Sitcoms used to be produced in front of a live studio audience. A really long time ago to the point to where early televised cartoons like the Flintstones would have a laugh track.
It's probably a tool to tell the viewer to laugh but it might also just be a force of habit, like a trope or something of the sort.
+Oda Swifteye It's also because having live audiences has caused writers to write in a style that assumes there's an audience since some of the biggest comedies, the late night talk show, still has them. If one where to remove the laugh track, editing would need to be made to keep things running well (people have posted "awkward pause" videos of BBT, but in reality this holds true of all comedies with a laugh track)

I'm basically being moronic to get my point across more simply. If I really wanted to express my criticisms of The Big Bang Theory, it would be paragraphs long. For a more constructive answer I dislike the Big Bang Theory because the writers pack alot of "geeky" references and "nerd" tropes in the episodes as a substitute for actual comedy.

It's funny how "smart people" is one of the few demographics left that is still totally socially acceptable to try to make fun of. I say, "try" because 90% of the comedy in shows like big bang theory just goes like, "smart" person says something "smart," then "normal" person says generic "could you repeat that in ENGLISH" cue laugh track. It's literally just laughing at incompetence. It's like everyone's in a reverse pissing contest to see who's the dumbest. I wrote one of my college entrance essays on how cancerous that show is. shit gets me hella triggered

You hear of people making things based on things that inspired them like undertale being inspired by earth bound, but then you have that guy who was inspired to make something like breaking bad but wasn't capable of having an independent thought to save his life so he made a carbon copy that most people just assume is a joke parody due to how badly it rips it off.
Maybe if he made it in china where the people who watched breaking bad are probably close to nothing then it'd do well, but it's not something you want to show to people who already saw breaking bad lol
