@@LongBinh70 then there's the maintenance! And then you gotta have another garage/shed to store the maintenance items. (Not being a 'downer' ) I have the same issues, it can get ahead of you, but I do like working the ..."problem"? Lol
VERY cool, Doug !!!! I used to live in suburbs of Dayton, OH, I had the LEAVES there !!!!! old 1964 neighborhood, with LOTS of huge maples, oaks, etc.....
I'm a big believer in leaf blowers. I used them when I cleaned theater floors as a young kid(electric). I have always cleaned my vehicles with them and also my garage. Electric is nice for peeps like me that know NOTHING about combustion engines. I have had to rotate the brushes on an electric when it slowed down(free tip, kek). I don't have a preferred brand, but mine is red, so ... red brand. 🤣 Note: My Mom always like the leaves so she left them alone. All of those would make a great compost. Throttle level, Throttle level, Throttle level. kek
I like the mini Dewalt blower and the pto driven one. If it's a permanent setup maybe you'll do a video about a remote power port and a better wiring setup than you show in the video. I appreciate you. Thank you for sharing your skills knowledge and experience
Love the Monster blower. Don't get too close to the house with that. It'll take it clean off the foundation. Two suggestions (would make for good videos as well): 1. Krud Kutter Gutter Cleaner. spray on, wipe off in two minutes. No elbow grease required. Cleans gutters like new. A+ product. 2. Gutter guards. I got Raptor gutter guards. Easy DIY install. Work great and keeps the gutters functioning (no clogs), protects fascia from rotting. Both products available on Amazon and I believe Home Depot too. Research others but I found the Raptor the best for me...I live in the woods.
Good morning Doug, another informative video. With mostly pine needles I've found a lawn sweeper vacuum unit not only sweeps a clean path. It detaches the lawn and readies it for fertilizer. A Smithco 48 or 60. Either ride on or toe behind a compact tractor. Toro also makes sweepers.
Like they say you will never complain about more power when it comes to leaf blowing. I owned a Husqvarna 580BTS which I sold last year and currently own a Echo PB8010 and a Stihl BR800C. I made the mistake once of listening to the local hardware store guy many years ago and bought the Stihl BR340 when he told me you will never need more power than that for your city lot. Wrong…. I sold it after a few years of it not being enough power and bought the biggest blower they made at the time the Husqvarna 580BTS. I then bought the Echo PB8010 3 years ago and the Stihl BR800C last year. Between the 2 blowers me and my wife can now clear our city lot with ease if we work together. Always get the biggest blower you can afford is my advice. Great video Doug!
Hi Doug, I really enjoy watching your RUclips videos. You’ve obviously done well for yourself over the years since you have a really nice home / property and a bunch of tools & “toys”. Can you do a “shop talk” video giving advice to guys in their 20’s & 30’s? Keep up the good work - thanks
Another great video Doug. I hate getting on roofs, so I found an extension for my backpack blower that allows me to blow them out while keeping my feet planted firmly on the ground. Well worth the investment. This video reminds me that I need to clean them again.
Thanks Doug, great video! I really need that turbine blower, it’s such a job clearing leafs in my guarden, I have two trees and our lawn is 21’ by 32’ so you can just imagine!
I like that you always include the proper PPE in your videos. It's amazing how so many people don't put on simple hearing protection when using blowers. Cool piece of equipment.
Okay, a couple of cordless blowers, some gas backpacks, oh, a blower mounted to the front of the tractor, now that is nice.......... wait a second, what is that........ oh come on now, that's just not fair, pto driven turbine cyclone blower!!!! Ugh...yeah, that is the ticket.... oh and it has a electric motor to rotate the nozzle you say........ Yep, you win!!🤣🤣 All of that is a sweet setup there for sure 👍 Just having fun with the above "comment", enjoyed the video, have a good one!!
Nice, set up Doug! It was great meeting you at Paul Bunyan, I, like you, have mounted a conventional push blower to my tractor only on the three point hitch. It works pretty well but I think I need to upgrade to a more powerful blower. I’ve been keeping my eye out for those buffalo turbine blowers on the used market, we use them at work, and they are awesome!
Hi Doug, great and interesting video, I was blown away with the Buffalo turbine unit! (NPI) I was unaware they even made such an animal. As always, most informative and practical. Be well and be safe!
Man that turbine blower is awesome. I don't have many leaves in my yard anymore after a tornado took out all my trees but one a few years back. Great video keep em coming.
Try attaching some light weight pvc & a couple elbows to a blower, for cleaning gutters from the ground. Maybe use a bigger drone. LOL I think the turbine blower would be more efficient if it had an output nozzle like a blow gun for the air compressor. Looks like you're ready toe dry the track for NASCAR.
That PTO blower is insane! I just bought a Stihl BR 800 back pack blower and I thought I had the best, now I'm not sure. Lol. Thanks for a great video!
DOUG, awesome how you redesign a piece of equipment to make it work for you! Being that I live IN the woods, ...my property has a lot of obstacles to get the leaves cleaned up and moved. Thinking of a 'TracVac' to help with the process, but maneuver ability is the issue! Getting older, it's debilitating to use my Stihl 750 backpack blower and a tarp! And,... paying a teenager,or anyone for that service, well can't find any that can, or WILL do that work! 'There has got to be a better way' ! Thanks for your ideas!
@John Smith The Buffalo Turbine blower works perfect in tight areas on my compact tractor. If I were to use a lawn sweeper or bagger I would use twice as much fuel just to take and dump them and return to pick more up, it would also double my clean up time. Fortunately I am able to just blow the leaves into the woods. Thanks for the comment.
@@OneEyeCustoms That's the predicament I would have! Emptying out the Vac! That would increase the work load, but lugging a loaded tarp ain't easy either. Guess 1 solution would be to cut down the trees! Lol Thanks for the reply Doug. Love the videos!
I was looking out at the back yard, yesterday, wondering how I would get all the leaves taken care of. At least now I know what I won’t be able to do it with. 😂. Great video.
I have always just used my Bagger on my Riding Lawnmower (1985 CRAFTSMAN GT6000), and emptied many times into my Compost Pile and over my Raised Garden Bed. Just as long as the Grass and Leaves are not too moist...
Hi Doug, I have a question and I think I may already know the answer but I just wanted to see what your thought is nut instead of blowing the leaves to the perimeter of your property, I have you thought about using one of those huge yard vacuums that you pull behind your tractor and when you load it up with leaves just lift up the back of the collection hauler and dump the leaves on the outskirts of your property and go back and vacuum up another load. It might be a quicker solution then slowly blowing the leaves... quicker solution would mean less time on your tractor would mean saving on fuel costs for the tractor. I can't think of the name of the company that builds those units, It might be cyclone but I'm no sure. Other than that keep cranking out those video's, I'm thoroughly enjoying them.
Doug, How do you clean out the curtain drains on your property? Have you ever heard the saying: “The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys”? This is definitely true in my case. I went from Tonka Trucks (back in the 60’s & 70’s) to the real things later in life 🤣
@@OneEyeCustoms that was super clear. I'm impressed with the performance for the investment. I always thought leaves had the word leave in there for "leave" them on the ground! Ha! It's right in the word!

Buffalo Turbine PTO driven looks interesting. I own a JD 1023E. PTO HP is 18 HP so slightly lacking for what you have purchased as well. Does Buffalo make a slightly smaller version that would be under the 18 HP requirement?
Would have like to seen the small blower in real time. Liked to borrow that big blower to blow out the ditches on the seven miles of roads up here. Got any toys to clean out culverts?
@Rock and Rattle Retreat that Buffalo Turbine blower blows out ditches really really well. If you could find a flex tube like HVAC duct, you could attach it to the end nozzle and blow out the culvert pretty easily!
@@OneEyeCustoms It would be great if it could blow out the culvert, but ours are filled with rocks and sediment. Will that blow out... I dought it, need to some how pull something through it to remove the sediment.
@Rock and Rattle Retreat if you could get a water pump like I used in my land tour video where I wash off my mower decks with it, a water tank and you could flush it out with high pressure water. Just thinking out loud here.
