- It's 2024, and Apple has approved emulators! I know, I know... Android systems have had the capabilities of doing this for years. Technically Apple has too, but only through sideloading, this is an app directly on the App Store though! Today I show you how to play games, use a bluetooth controller and more.

Btw, you can screencast your phone to a Roku or whatever else you can use and hangout and ..do what you’re doing but on a TV!
Ngl I kinda wish delta was on Android since it pretty much has the best UI out of any emulator I've ever seen. From the menus to the controls, especially the DS

I know not everyone can afford the hobby of retro gaming but since i’ve started playing on actual gameboys and real cartridges it all just feels more real and nostalgic
Used to play pokemon glazed on an iphone 5 back in 2016. The controller and DS stuff was cool, just not sure what the big deal was with the gba stuff. Just kinda figured iOS compatibility was common knowledge in the rom community
You’re correct in that delta has been around for a while through things like AltStore, the exciting thing is that anybody can download delta now through the official App Store without having to deal with revoked signatures and such

Not exactly trade but there is a sync feature on delta that lets you download your games to other decides that have synced with your google drive or drop box

But can it do retro screen/tv shaders and utilize retro achievements? Or netplay? Or add cusotom borders? RetroArch does that and it's available for basically everything, and I just checked it does support iOS without jailbreaking through sideloading. This is more convenient though, but that's Apple's fault for locking down their systems so much. (also this app will 100% be removed in the not so distant future like all emulators)

3:27 there is an option on iPhone but it isn’t there for iPad for me either specifically for ds games idk why

Any reason why my ps5 controller says it’s connected it’s on the controller option in the app but I can’t seem to use the controller
Try instead of connecting via the Bluetooth portion of settings, press the ps button on the controller to connect it. That’s how it worked for me on my Nintendo pro controller
You have to map the controls before you can use the controller
You can speed up games now

Yes you can because switch controllers can be connected to phones via Bluetooth

Are you having audio issues on your ipad?
It might be cause your on do not disturb turn it off and check theirs also a setting on the app for the audio to still play even while it’s on

There cant be tutorials for downloading roms, but just search roms and download them in google

Yep, it seems similar to Lemuroid which is an emulator that is only available on Samsung devices as far as I'm aware.

I don’t know why you’re acting like this is a completely new thing. You’ve been able to do this on iOS since like 2011…
It’s a big deal because it’s officially supported by Apple without jailbreak or sideloading now.
