@@TheEverydayDad absolutely loving it but I’m with you on terrible screen controls. Grew up in the snes age so I need a controller and I just picked up the G8 as you mentioned in your video. Excellent video!
Completed Okamiden (100%) it on Delta. It ran smooth as butter. Nothing to complaint about Delta aside from the occasional cramps from playing without a physical controller. Bought myself a Gamesir X2 Bluetooth. Now I can game comfortably.
I would get a node in your gaming room (mesh network extender / AiMesh ) and if you have tri-band….chose a specific band for your gaming room (2.4ghz , 5.1ghz , or 5.2ghz band) Next I would chose a channel that has the least amount of traffic/ noise. Don’t let anyone else use this WiFi connection. There should be almost 0 lag. I did this to set up my Xbox and PS remote play. Works almost perfectly. Try it out. Might need a tri-band router.
To make it work well on a tv just use an adapter to plug it in that will smooth it out, then use a wireless controller like an xbox or playstation controller and you have the perfect home setup.
I've been sideloading delta for years at this point on my iPhones. Glad to see it finally officially on the App Store! Also, my iPhone 12 Pro can run Wii games decently enough for my liking; the occasional MKW on the train is pretty fun!
I saw another RUclipsr show using Nintendo Switch Joycons via bluetooth. For people without the new iPhone 15 and its USB-C, this is a simple fit. Yes, it’s another device, but it’s more compact than a switch and I already had the Joycons. It’s not perfect, but works well enough to be fun.
I very much agree that touch controls on most mobile games are not good at all. Although, I do appreciate how Delta provides some features to make their touch controls tolerable, at least for me. For one, you get haptic feedback from each button press which makes them feel more tactile. Also, the emulator allows you to virtually press and hold buttons which turned out to actually be a useful feature for games like Mario Kart DS where you had to press and hold the accelerator button anyway. Again, if I had a physical controller around, I personally prefer that. But considering that I spent no money on the emulator and I can play my childhood games somewhat decently, it’s hard to complain lol
@@dblmisterjokes2 the noticeable con is that it doesn’t fit bulky cases like the more durable ottorboxes which is a minor gripe. The bro is that it’s comfortable, light weight, easy to connect, and has pass through charging. My first one ended up having major stick drift but was able to send it back and they gave my a brand new one in about a week and a half. I still use it quite often to stream my Xbox to my phone. I’ve beaten both space marines 2 and cyberpunk 2077 by steaming it to my phone using the backbone. Playing dedicated mobile games like COD mobile and Zenless Zone Zero have been awesome. The higher graphics will still drain your battery even with pass through charging but it’s drains slower than normal. I do have iPhone 15pro max so that probably helps in my experience but over all I’ve had a very positive experience.
If you just want to play Nintendo stuff or games on those platforms then this is way better than those cheap emulation handhelds. Nothing will have a better screen than your phone.
I wonder if the USB C pass through on the Razer Kishi controller would allow hdmi cable to also work while using the controller. You’d be wired in, but it’d be perfect sync with TV.
I just beat castlevania aria of sorrow on delta and had no issues at all. No lag no problems with controller compatibility. Connect and play it’s so seemless
This is nothing new, it's just easier to do now. I remember 1-2 years ago I played psp and gamecube on my old ish ipad at 1440p resolution with a controller via the dolphine emu. Apple hardware is so damn powerful.
I don’t use a controller that’s attached to my phone, I connect my Nintendo switch joycons instead. I airplay to my tv and I noticed lag as well, but I would just sit my phone next to my Apple TV and the games ran much smoother 👍🏻
Is it possible to carry save data across devices? Like have a save file of Pokemon Emerald on my iphone and then be able to pick up later from my ipad?
I've got a bunch of emulators and I'm considering the gamesir... It'd be nice to have my phone be the answer. BUT, the issue for me is I'm not using my phone battery life for gaming -vs- a separate battery that when it's dead I'm done gaming but I still have my phone. I've recently upgraded from an iphone 11pro to a 15+ so this is now less of an issue but something I'm always thinking about.
I say this knowing that I’m mostly playing Radical Red (Game Boy Advance) lately, but battery drain seems pretty minimal to me. Not sure about other systems but unless it is taxing the processor, shouldn’t be too bad.
Waiting to see what Gen the I devices can play. Would be super cool to play PS2 on an iPad at 60fps. Read there might be issues with Dolphin because of Apple not allowing JIT. Also heard PPSSPP is coming, so getting some PSP goodness could be awesome. Really wanted this for awhile, ability to consolidate while travelling (no need to bring a Switch, Pocket, AND iPad, just an iPad and 8bitdo)
I have the an iPhone, the rg35xx plus and H model. As great as the sound and emulation is on the iPhone it still can’t beat for me the nostalgia of playing things like Pokémon, and other retro games, on the plus model (which nails the look and feel of the game boy so well). It makes me feel like I’m playing an official console. However, the G8 controller setup is actually quite decent as well, If you have an iPhone I think that would be the better investment for most people, unless you’re like me and can’t resist that nostalgia look of the plus or H model. My only concern is the delta emulator itself, it’s not guaranteed yet that it’s going to stay in the App Store, and unless you’re planning the jailbreak your phone it’s a risky move to buy the gamesir controller not knowing how long the app will be there. Those are thoughts.
whats the name of the very first game at the start of this video? it looks like Mario? can you provide link for it on the playstore please.. thank you heaps. i subbed.
Personally, I don't feel comfortable using my expensive iPhone for purposes other than communication and works related. If I wanna play game, I'd get the proper devices for that--like the consoles and handhelds and whatnot. I don't even game on my Mac, unless there's really no other option.

I’ve been having a blast just using my Xbox controller to play games that are a little more fast paced. Like a Megaman Battlenetwork 3. So sick
My iPhone has literally become a portable game console to the point where I ordered a backbone controller 😅
Same 😂
How has the backbone been treating your iPhone games so far ? Pros and cons

Quick suggestion: Put your microphone in mono mode. It's a bit irritating when the sound is coming slightly from one side.

Problem with Delta is lack of upscaling options. That also affects the output quality when casting to a TV
Unlike in Android with apps like Aethersx2 where you can upscale the graphics of the game as much as you want.
It’s a shame how the app doesn’t let you maximise the game’s graphics despite having such a powerful processor.
I don’t use a controller that’s attached to my phone, I connect my Nintendo switch joycons instead. I airplay to my tv and I noticed lag as well, but I would just sit my phone next to my Apple TV and the games ran much smoother 👍🏻
Use a usb-c to hdmi for lagless TV output.
I really like the Delta emulator, but it would be absolutely perfect if it offered more than just Nintendo consoles.
There is no Delta in the app store for me :(
Needs ps1 emulation support and it would be perfect
Delta is Nintendo only. What about MAME and all the other consoles like PSP?
Unless there’s a ps2 emulator I don’t see any games to play and I don’t see any reason there can’t be a ps2 or psp emulator now
The only system I use external controller for is N64. Everything else is fine for me on touch
You could use a USB C to HDMI for your tv
I might have missed it but where do I get the roms?
BRO I HAVE YOUR SOLUTION! Get an Apple TV Box and stream wireless, seamlessly!!
Are there any viable options for controllers with an lightning connection that you would recommend?
Will any of these control device work for an iPhone 14 Plus
Is it possible to carry save data across devices? Like have a save file of Pokemon Emerald on my iphone and then be able to pick up later from my ipad?
Yes you’ll be able to open your saved files on another device
I almost broke my iPhone over the touch screen controls trying to play crash bandicoot

That's a good point and something I hadn't considered, the "extra" battery life on a dedicated device is also a pretty big positive.

connect a bluetooth controller, and use a usb c to hdmi
