- Hey guys,
Special video for you today! We managed to get our hands on a pallet of Tahoma 31 lawn so I've taken it to my old man's place to install that on the putting green.
Our first impression, it's pretty insane!
Good stufff guys!
Good work mate.. Pissed myself with the comment.. Fuck I’m Fucked.. 👍🤣👌
Rolls of turf are heavy as fuck.
Jonesy isn't all that site fit.
🤣😂👍 Gold
@@thelawnhub Harsh 😂😂 it was 37 degrees give me a break hahaha
I'm getting this for my backyard in a few weeks!
Hopefully you'll love it as much as we do.
How did you go with it?
@@leakena889 I held off over winter, getting my delivery this weekend. SHould be awesome.
@@richardportelli1983 ahhh. I initially was going to go with Sir Grange Zoysia but the builder says it would take two weeks and he wants to get the lawn done this Friday, so he recommended Tahoma 31. So after doing some research the two lawns seems the same. So I said ok. Fingers cross. :)
@@leakena889 you will find in climates from sydney and south couch is the way to go. zoysia is best for hot climates up qld.
Cover ya Load Lads. Mr Police Man/Woman can and will take some of ya HARD Earned Cash as compensation for unsafe load ! Even that sand/soil will BLOW and cause a nuisance sorry Lads it’s the Law . Looks like a Great Lay to me LawnHub no right or wrong way to lay Lawn rolls other than don’t walk on the nice level topsoil keep ya footprints on the Grass Man lol 😂👍
I’m in Adelaide and wanting to Reno and lay T31 but can’t find a supplier, my next option would be to drive to Victoria to pick it up.
As far as we know, theres no growers her in SA yet.
Hope the old man had some beers for ya?
Beers will be shared once putting has commenced haha
How do you keep the common bermuda out of the T31?
Fortunately, I don't have that issue, the issue I do face is the Kikuyu creeping in. Either way there are chemical solutions for both turf varieties or the old fashion pulling it by hand.
@@thelawnhub I’m from Northern California and I’m not sure what Kikuyu is. I think that’s common Bermuda grass. Not certain though.
@@thelawnhub I guys it’s native from Kenya so I don’t have that. I’m sodding T31 in a few weeks and need to kill off common Bermuda prior. This makes me nervous. Don’t want to waste money. Thanks for you help!
Where is this Web site with the Weekly Cut you speak of Adam that I need to subscribe to?
Hey mate. Head over to lawnhub.com.au and scroll right down to the bottom and you will see a box that says "Subscribe to our newsletter"
how many days it was sitting on the pallets before laid?
Approximately 7. It recovered exceptionally well!
Is tahoma 31 forsale to residential in SA or is it still in trial periods?
Not for sale yet. But you can win it if you enter before March 20 2022 facebook.com/groups/AustralianLawnFanatics/permalink/3162761034012957
You guys know if anyone is selling this in Adelaide yet? and how does it go as far as general wear for a backyard with dogs and kids etc?
Hi, at this time not yet. So far I can't give a review on the wear tolerance, only the recovery rate. It is quick to recover during the growing season so I guess in turn the wear tolerance would be good. More testing to come this season.
@@thelawnhub yeah no worries. thanks for the reply 👍
Better than Max, you wacky South Australians still insist on putting small bits on the edges to dry out, the centre rows were spot on.
Make sure you check out the update soon mate, you’ll see nothing has dried out and is booming! 😜
You will be cursing that Kik. That stuff should be banned not forsale to the public
You can tell why its classed as a Noxious Weed
It's not gonna be easy but it is a trial site for Tahoma 31 and having Kikuyu nearby will give it a real test.
Love my Kik. 🤷🏼♂️
