Can't help but notice the swimmer to Peaty's right (below him in the video) does a full-on dolphin kick on his finish.

Well, since I don't swim this stroke, one thing I found interesting is the different stroke rates. I think it was more noticeable with the women. Some were on a very quick stroke rate, and some were on a much longer stroke rate. I would expect them to be much closer than they were. Comments?

Different swimmers can take advantage of distance per stroke, some do a high stroke rate

When I took swimming lesson (3 times since age of 10; all failed), I found breaststroke easier intuitively. I didn’t know anything about not kicking and pulling at the same time and gliding but I found it easier to stay afloat. I could even breathe a few times before completely exhausted (from doing it wrong). Now I can comfortably swim breaststroke, it’s time to fine tune technique. I found that when I kept my gaze 45-degree downward while breathing and imagine myself diving forward back into the water, the momentum and propulsion felt stronger, than simply raising my head to breathe and then ducking my head down. I have been watching AP breaststroke analysis on YT, I really like what you point out. I will keep your points in mind when practicing.

Great to hear that you found breaststroke easier intuitively during your swimming lessons. It's always valuable to listen to your body and find what feels most comfortable for you. I'm glad to hear that you're now looking to fine-tune your technique.
You bring up an interesting point about keeping your gaze 45-degree downward while breathing, which can help with momentum and propulsion. It's always helpful to experiment with different techniques and see what works best for you. I appreciate you taking the time to watch our AP breaststroke analysis videos on RUclips and incorporating our points into your practice. Keep up the good work, and let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with in your swim journey. -Coach Mandy

This is really helpful since I’m trying to drop 4 seconds to qualify for Regionals, if anyone has any advice please feel free to share ❤

Hello Kate, Identifying specific areas for improvement is a crucial step in dropping those crucial seconds. It's great to see your dedication to your craft by seeking out advice. Could you pinpoint which aspect of your event you think needs the most work? Is it your starts, turns, strokes, or perhaps pacing? The more specific you can be, the more targeted your training can become.
Additionally, do you happen to have any video footage of your races? Analyzing your performance can provide valuable insights. If possible, it would be especially helpful to see your breaststroke outside of your past events. This way, we can give you more tailored advice.
Feel free to share the footage or any specific details about your races at mandy@swimvice.com. I'm here to help you with any advice or guidance you may need.
      Best regards,
      Coach Mandy

Good to see it but , AP is not the best in the underwater ... it's an issue that he has to work on it... and he does... , the other things are Ok... specially the tempo of the stroke and its energy....
