    We have made this tasty masala Methi Mathri by baking it in oven, that too without Maida. Mathri is the most common snack in every Indian household. Try these guilt free baked Mathri this Diwali, they are also perfect for gifting along with sweets. Please find the full recipe below:-
    Total Baking Time: 23 minutes
    Ingredients:
    • Whole wheat flour (Aata) - 2 cup
    • Chickpea Flour (Besan) - 1/2 cup
    • Kasuri methi - 3 to 4 tbsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Asafoetida (Hing) - 1/4 tsp
    • Carom seeds - 1 tsp
    • Sesame seeds - 2 tsp
    • Turmeric powder (Haldi) - 1/4 tsp
    • Red chili powder - 1 tsp
    • Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
    • Oil - 1/4 cup
    • Water to knead
    Recipe:
    1. In a large bowl take flours and all other spices. Mix them well to combine.
    2. Add oil and rub the flour mixture with oil to make a crumbly mixture.
    3. Now gradually add water in batches, to make a firm dough.
    4. Cover with damp cloth and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Preheat the oven at 150 degree Celsius.
    5. After 20 minutes, take a ball size portion and roll it with help of rolling pin in 1/4 inch thickness.
    6. Cut it in square or desired shape with knife or cookie cutter.
    7. Line a baking trey with parchment paper and apply some oil.
    8. Place all the prepared Mathri on it and .
    9. Bake them in preheated oven for 10 minutes. Flip them and again bake for 10 minutes. And for crispy edges 3 minutes on 180 degree Celsius.
    10. Let it cool down fully as they might be a little soft when you take them out. But it will be crispy after cooling down.
    11. It can be stored in airtight box till 15-20 days. Enjoy with tea or coffee!
