  • Hi Guys ... hope you like the recipe for Baked Italian Herbs Mathri ... They are not deep fried like those traditional masala mathris and thus are low in calories and are relatively healthy snacks... They are very tasty and are full of flavours of freshly ground pepper, dried oregano and extra virgin olive oil... This Diwali try out these healthy and flavourful mathris ... I bet you will love it!
    Ingredients:-
    -------------------
    Plain Flour - 100 grams (1 cup)
    Dried Oregano - 1.5 teaspoon
    Crushed Black Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
    Salt - to taste
    Baking Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
    Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
    Water - 1/4 cup

      I agree. 250 deg C is too much. 180 is enough.

    How can refined flour be low calorie... instead you could have used other whole grain flour. What if we plan to make it in microwave or pressure cooker.

    I started baking it at 250 C for 20 mins. It got roasted completely. On 10 mins it self my fire alarm started buzzing. Luckily i saw the smoke and turned it off on time. Can you pls mention the time and temperature properly?

    250 degrees centigrade!!!! That will roast a horse lady!! Don't you mean 350 degrees Fahrenheit?

      Tried at 180 degrees centigrade for 15 minutes. It comes out perfect .

    It’s so sad that you haven’t taken this recipe off RUclips. My fire alarm went on in 10 mins. Mathris got completely burnt. Waste of my precious time. Please do something Tulika and try to be honest with your viewers.
