Thanks for calling this out. All of this nefarious activity- changing weight, constant power at ridiculous speeds and distance, etc should be relatively straightforward for Zwift to identify and stop if they wanted to. Subscription really does seem to matter than ethics to the people who run the platform. It’s a shame because it’s such a brilliant concept and I love using it.
These do get flagged and sent to Zwift. I never hear back. On another account doing this I followed them and they just kept doing it. I gave up after about a month of flagging them as it seems Zwift didn't care and honestly it was a waste of time. This really won't hurt my experience so I figure why spend time on it.
It's probably to unlock the higher levels complete challenges and get freebies from strava challenges. I've seen people who clearly have not calibrated their trainer and will gloat that they've been holding 7w/kg for 40 minutes, so you talk to them and explain that they cannot be holding that amount of power at 55 years of age, overweight, having never cycled in their life and they suddenly go quiet and disappear, you'll see them in strava suddenly turning their activities to private and deleting comments. It's really quite sad, they are just doing a disservice to themselves. I just flag them now.
This is absolutely an account where they have set out to do a full unlock and level 50. I also now flag these when I see them. Do the challenges in Strava get you anything? I just don't see the point in any if this but it is frustrating because I have ridden ever one of my kms in Zwift.
Part of me wishes that for races theyd require a weight and height verification. I know that'd block out a ton of people, but maybe just 20-30% of the races can be verified
Height for adults can be done once and then we would be done with it as most adults stop growing. Weight is tricky as it varies so much over time. Maybe a monthly check in? That would still require a ton of resources by Zwift I would think.
I fail to see the point of doing this. Are they trying to run big numbers to impress other riders or is there some financial or in-game benefit for doing this? This user already has the Tron bike so what possible benefit is there to doing this? Especially for so long a duration. I'm halfway through level 20 but I'm doing it the old fashion way - actually doing the riding. I couldn't imagine pulling those kind of numbers unless they're in the pro tour and a name you'd recognize.
Apparently people create a fully unlocked level 50 account for others at a price. And as noted that includes the tron bike. Thank you for doing it the old fashioned way!
@@cyclingboss469 I'm at the age where I HAVE to get the miles in. My dad died young and the fitter I am the more likely I am to have a good quality of life as I move on from middle age to points beyond.
There is certainly quite a bit of weight doping going on in Zwift, however when these bots are spotted on the road doing huge rides at relatively high speeds, and incredible distances it is likely unlocking a level 50 account to be sold. Yes, people will pay for a fully unlocked level 50 account apparently. This gives them access to all of the fastest bikes and wheels in game and tons of drops for future purchases as well.
I do this all the time :) only turn wifi off so i dont get flagged :) i set my weight to 35 kg (which is the minimum accepted on zwift) and power to 2000 w (maximum accepted on zwift), tron bike in 15 hours and leveled up from 0 to 60 in approx. 2 days lol ;)

Isn’t easier for weight doping?

You really find the bots all the time lol
I have seen a few and this is the second one that I have posted a video of. They just seem to pop up.
Bot from China 🇨🇳 🙄 🤣....what else?
There is no way to tell the orgins of where the Bot is faking power data comes from. It really could be anywhere in the world.
