Zwift BOT Cheating, 360km ride @ 46.6kph

In this video we highlight another Zwift bot cheating while out on a free ride. This bot changes power briefly and incurs a couple power dropouts, but the pace and distance are superhuman efforts that far exceed even the greatest World Tour level racers. I even make a comparison to the pace set by Julian Alaphilippe in the 2021 Elite Men's Road Race World Championships.
ZWIFT 1500W Sprint for Green Jersey - New York

My failed attempt to get another green jersey in Zwift by sprinting in New York on a free ride. This was an incredibly powerful sprint for me where my peak output was in excess of 1500W. Unfortunately the hill prior to the start line killed too much speed and left me trying to accelerate through the sprint segment rather than already being at top speed entering into the segment.
Zwift Racing - Auto Assigned 6 Category System Testing. Is this the end of sandbagging?
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.3 года назад
Zwift is testing a new auto assigned 6 category system for racers. This system would eliminate sandbagging and provide for more competitive balanced races. This system would also add two additional categories bringing the total up to 6 (C1-C6) instead of the normal 4 (A-D). Please leave your thoughts on what a new racing category system would look like? What do you want in a new category system...

Does this bother you at all when this happens? Is this somehow legitimate and am I missing something here? The cheating bot held a constant ...

I do this all the time :) only turn wifi off so i dont get flagged :) i set my weight to 35 kg (which is the minimum accepted on zwift) and power to 2000 w (maximum accepted on zwift), tron bike in 15 hours and leveled up from 0 to 60 in approx. 2 days lol ;)
How was the traffic, especially going up hill? No real shoulders to speak of on skinny roads that make passing difficult. Were drivers generally kind or pissy? I've been thinking about doing highway 49 from Placerville to Auburn and beyond but not sure yet.
Nice Video. Just moved here. IF you like being more off pavement on that trail I know the other side has some good trails between the water and pavement. Saw the dirt. Did only a part of the trail from folsom past the beaches and the cliff sign that said no stopping. Any reccommendations if you want to get in the gnar a bit..
Park Rangers also write tickets on the Golden Gate Bridge for speeders too.
This sure looks like from J Street Bridge, not Fair Oaks Bridge. I recognize the Sacto State campus to the right and Guy West Bridge to the left. Got me confused for a while, so I had to look it up on the Google Street View 🙂
I don't understand, H and J come together and turn into Fair Oaks at this bridge. I guess its formal name is J St Bridge, maybe? Either way, you have the correct location at the beginning Sac St is on the right side.
@@cyclingboss469 Ah, OK. I see that it turns into Fair Oaks Blvd. If you type "Fair Oaks Bridge" though, the map will show you the one about 10 miles away, in Fair Oaks.😄
My assigned category is too strong for me....waiting for Zwift to recalibrate....is there anything I can do?...yes six categories would benefit me.
The only think you can do is keep racing and wait. IF your numbers are always below your assigned category you will get dropped down. How did you get assigned up a category? You must have produced some good numbers and held a higher W/Kg at some point in time to get assigned the higher category.
Might try this weekend. I was trying to decide if the CW loop climbing from the Confluence was safer than than the CCW look climbing from salmon falls. The video helped. Thanks.
Did you end up doing the ride? If so which direction and how did it go?
n i c o l a s e m o n d
Thanks 😊
You are quite welcome. Happy Zwifting!
Just make an event at Crit City on The Bell Lap. It is a 2km route so no need to turn manually. I just made an event for myself and did 20 laps there this morning. That took me 1 hour and 14 minuts and got me 1000 xp. 2x 20 for the KM and 1x 10 for the lap. That is 50xp each round.
The new Sprinters Playground" route in Makuri Island is relatively flat, very short loop and has four Sprint banners. Get your XP on! Also, check out GPlama (Shane Miller) just did a video where he earned 1000XP by riding up the Alpe du Zwift in a workout, then road under the banner (and got the wheels which are an additional 1000XP), the zoomed back down on a TT bike at 60mph. Another consideration is just cranking out kilometers riding with Coco at 2.6 W/kg on a relatively flat route. This cranks out XP pretty fast and has the added benefit of 2.5 multiplier on drops (if you still need upgrades from the drop shop).
About workouts… Workouts can earn you 12 XP per minute (720/hr) if the workout is all interval blocks. And you don’t have to go fast. I climb a big hill in an interval workout. At the end of the workout, I turn around and go downhill getting 20 XP/km . No you don’t get banner bonuses in workouts but you still earn faster in interval workouts unless you ride faster than 35 km/hr. Maybe not 780/hr but not bad if you are slow like me.
You need a stronger core. Upper body is all over the place. Cadence and power are very good. Pull your elbows inward, shoulders down(you will gain power output from the leverage and have a more efficient power delivery). I’ve raced for 38 years.
Is the lands slide part fix
There is a small repair area in this section
Nice video and riding bro
Thank you, appreciate it!
I’m racing this coming up 2023 season and tryin to find others to train with. Interested?
Sorry I have not been on my channel. Thanks for the offer, I have not been riding and am currently injured. I hope you have a good season, race hard!
Nice commentary. That's a strong Cat C sprint whenever hitting over 1200 watts. It was definitely strong enough to win. I agree that you wasted too much energy during the race. I would say Zwift racing is all about efficiency. Since there's no coasting like in the real world you need to save every little bit of energy for the end.
Thanks. I agree my sprint and punchy power is good for C Cat racing and I always seem to compete for the win if I am smart, in good shape, and am able to hold on up to the last km.
Nice effort at the end. I would say your one minute power would make you a solid B if you can raise your FTP to around 300.
Thanks. Yes I believe short power is a great strength relative to other C Cat racers. I am not the strongest in sustained power. This means I am a sit in and back my Sprint type racer. The highest measured FTP to date was 286W. Weight over past 2 years ranges from 90-102kg, but 7 years ago I got down to 83kg.
dang thats alot of miles
I am from Michigan and have been looking for videos of this trail, you did a great job recording this is ride. What time of year did this ride take place? I have this trail on my bucket list, I would love to ride it full round trip (Sacramento to Folsom and back to Sacramento)
This is a good group often calling out hazards coming up.. I was riding with a group one time and the guy in front of me did not call out the pole in the middle. I found out the last second and went over the bars. Painful experience.
We always alert those poles. Both verbally and with a hand signal.
Hi is there a way I cant contact you? i have similar problem to my fox fork and I saw you on a forum. Thanks
Volcano Circuit 5 times is a 1000xp.
Thank you. I believe that I hit the banner more often with this shorter route and pick up XP faster.
I do this ride on a regular basis, on weekends I'll take it all the way to Folsom and back, about 45 miles total. For those visiting, this trail is highly recommended. Video is excellent, but you can't see all the wildlife darting around. Squirrels, turkeys, coyotes...always something to see!
Thanks for the comment. When I ride in the evening I do see quite a bit of wildlife as well. Several coyotes every year and ton of deer. Some rides I see 20+ deer I think. I will ride River Park to Hazel quite often which is 32 round trip. Sounds like you do even more!
That’s crazy. If you had the aero with the wattage output you might have caught em
Howcome you havent raced a lot lately?
The past few winters I would race quite a bit and get a bit burned out. Races are demanding and it is hard on your body. This winter I focused on riding in Zone 2 with very little intensity. Spring is here now so I ride outdoors as much as possible.
maybe just me but these types of flat races are boring as hell, everyone chilling like a group ride and then the best sprint win... 0 significant climb lol. Good work though.
Thank you. Yes flat routes can appear boring but you have to have some routes for the sprinters! Since I am not at the top of the w/kg limits yet my preference is for short punchy hard climbs, like the leg snapper in the Innsbruckring route. I try to avoid anything that is a sustained climb. So for me short punchy, or pure flat which can be boring.
@@cyclingboss469 i feel you and completely understand.. you have a really great sprint and its a great asset. Are you aiming to move up to cat B?
Hey! Wanted to ask you if you have any tips for me on how I can grow my RUclips channel(what type of content, any tips/feedback, etc). Thanks!
I don't know if I am exactly successful enough to give tips. I try to be active here on RUclips, but also in other cycling forums. Not sure if you set up a camera on yourself while doing Zwift races, but I think showing yourself hurting draws people into your videos a little more as well. Keep it up no matter what!
No to mention, the rider is 50.5 kg. You are definitely correct that this is cheating. But I honestly don't care that much.
50kg is certainly very light for a grown adult. Not impossible but improbable.
@@cyclingboss469 ...as I am 56.7 kg,...you have no idea how true that is...ha ha.
watching this half way then realise its a group ride.. that is a decent size group.. I'm really loving the camera angles of the front and back.
Yeah, the group was pretty big that night. Thanks for taking a look.
I've missed your commentary, it's good to see another video.
Thanks!
You are way better; can narrate while riding
Lol. Thanks. I honestly couldn't breath after that finish. That was very hard.
@@cyclingboss469 yea, u have to recover properly; else it's harmful
I take rest days regularly and do not race back to back days. I took in a good nights sleep last night and had a recovery shake within 30 minutes of the end of this race.
Thanks for posting the race!
No problem, hope you enjoy!
Congrats on the race, I learned lessons on this one
Thanks, good to hear! Anything specific you learned?
@@cyclingboss469 not to take off from the group from the start, totally gassed myself and never recovered.
@@davidpoirier4548 LOL. Yeah, staying in the bunch protected is appox 30%+ less work. That is a big difference!
@@davidpoirier4548 ahhh, you're the one who escaped! Saw you right from the start, and decided to stay in the pack. :-)
Yeah, I saw him take off and I thought to myself there is not way I am chasing that. Better to stay in the group. I don't think I have ever seen someone solo off the front of a Zwift race from the gun and make it stick. If they can do that then they should be in a higher category!
They also clearly lie about their weight. If 217 watts = 4.3 watts per kg that would peg this person at 50.4 kg or 111 pounds, which is clearly a lie. I’m a lighter rider all things considers with quite a high FTP (150 lbs / 68 kg) with an FTP of 318 watts = 4.68 watts per kg. So I generally can snag KOMs when I have a mind to. Does this bother me? Not particularly. Losing out on a KOM to a bot isn’t something I would lose sleep over since getting a KOM on a ride isn’t altogether uncommon for me. It would piss me off to see someone else not quite as strong miss out on a KOM because of this, especially if they were excited to get one. That said I also only use Zwift as a training tool to supplement my real world riding / racing. If this person were entering Zwift racing though that would be another story; although I suspect they would be caught an banned very quickly.
Agreed. For free rides this is not a huge ordeal. I suspect they are unlocking a level 50 account with all the bikes, etc. Many work hard to get to level 50 and I am only to level 37 right now so that seems unfair. I noticed a previous account before this one, followed them, flagged them several times and gave up as the account remained active and Zwift had done nothing about it. Oh well.
Love it
Thank you! I appreciate it!
I fail to see the point of doing this. Are they trying to run big numbers to impress other riders or is there some financial or in-game benefit for doing this? This user already has the Tron bike so what possible benefit is there to doing this? Especially for so long a duration. I'm halfway through level 20 but I'm doing it the old fashion way - actually doing the riding. I couldn't imagine pulling those kind of numbers unless they're in the pro tour and a name you'd recognize.
Apparently people create a fully unlocked level 50 account for others at a price. And as noted that includes the tron bike. Thank you for doing it the old fashioned way!
@@cyclingboss469 I'm at the age where I HAVE to get the miles in. My dad died young and the fitter I am the more likely I am to have a good quality of life as I move on from middle age to points beyond.
Only climbed three times got the wheels!!! 3-21-2022 💥
Congrats, that is very lucky!
Great effort and commentary but if you put it on RUclips we want to see heart rate too.
Thanks, will do next time. I pretty much stick to power and only wear a HR monitor for Zwift races to avoid being DQ'd.
Huge gap off the gun because the vast majority of “C” riders cannot push 500+W off the gun for 60+sec. Including myself.
It looks like it was about 20s for 500W. I don't know if I have ever done 500W for 1 minute. I think my 1 minute all-time best is just a little less about 470W or so.
@@cyclingboss469 After one year on Zwift I’ve come to the conclusion Zwift is jammed pack with sandbaggers. So now I focus strictly on my own results, study my data on Training Peaks, and only concern myself with improving. I also know when outdoor racing begins the sandbaggers will still be racing in Zwift.
Thank you for the 19:30 tip!!!
Not a problem. That was a small hidden gem in one of their old podcasts.
I would aim for 95% ftp in a 40k and ramp up from there if able. It helps if you know your TTE @ FTP.
Thus was certainly not an all out effort. I am not even sure if I could do 90% ftp to be honest. My plan was to try 5% increases and post the results as I hopefully improve.
I got mine on the 13th attempt =).. got to work for those wheels.
Pretty sure you're a B rider
I like this idea, I would like to give this a try, substitute it for one of my SST session =)... I'll keep you posted once I give it a shot.
Good luck to you and certainly let me know how you do!! Thanks.
awesome, I too like that like that live FTP feature on zwift one day... I also started my SST training for the first time this year, SST is hard, been struggling with it but good to see your FTP improvement gives me hope and will stick it out for another 3 weeks until I do my FTP again.
Personally I found the shorter SS intervals to be pretty easy. When it go to doing 3X20' I was really struggling and nearly quit that workout. There are good gains to be had through base by doing SST though so keep at it.
@@cyclingboss469 I feel the same way, shorter SS is manageable but I guess the longer one will train the stamina =).. yeah I will always do SST just mix it up with over and unders..
What maps?
No lightning bolt next to name so .. fake data not a real power number. Yes i have seen many. They cannot get podiums with fake power but can troll everywhere & everyone :).
Yes, this was certainly a bit unlocking a level 50 account with all the bells and whistles.
Isn’t easier for weight doping?
There is certainly quite a bit of weight doping going on in Zwift, however when these bots are spotted on the road doing huge rides at relatively high speeds, and incredible distances it is likely unlocking a level 50 account to be sold. Yes, people will pay for a fully unlocked level 50 account apparently. This gives them access to all of the fastest bikes and wheels in game and tons of drops for future purchases as well.
They should really add some routes that are specialized, like a 10k and a 40k, on a completely flat, maybe oval track, that would get extremely competitive!
Fully agree. 10, 20, 40, and maybe even 100km dedicated TT track would be great. Use the TT start that simulates coming down the ramp as well.
