I was a senior in high school when the movie came out in theaters. Everyone in the Class of '85 went to see the movie. We chose "Don't You Forget About Me" as our class song. To me, it's amazing that many younger people relate to this movie, even almost 30 years after it was made.
It is so funny because one or the other of the girls made a comment online about that post 1985 birth kids talk to her about the fact that "their generation invented the movie you are watching clips about" and whichever said the comment was like LOL you are a 1990 baby the world exists before you.

Dear Mr. Vernon, We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it is that we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is . . . a brain. And an athlete. And a basket case. A princess. And a criminal. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, The Breakfast Club.

The best high-school movie of all time, no question. The degree of realism is stunning, and no matter how many times you watch it, it still looks and sounds fresh. And, my God, how beautiful Ally is, it is unbelievable.

@@markdaniels7174 - Love that too. Was he answering as Judd OR John Bender? If anything, because Brian and Allison have 'nothing to lose', they'd be the ones to walk up and say 'Hey' and see what happens.
Remember, Emilio carries a lot of guilt for inviting David Blum out that fateful night that led to the Brat Pack magazine piece. So, he's coming from a different place than the others.
What I feel really funny is that my parents were 13 when this film got out. I am 17 now and I found it a few weeks ago and now I can't get out of it. I love this film and I've watched it 7 times already and I never get bored. This film is amazing and I'm really happy I found it and that I can share my experience with my parents.
I just rewatched this movie last night for the first time in like 15 years and man is it still amazing. I didn't want it to end I never wanted them to go their separate ways after detention. I wanted to see what happened on Monday morning.
Monday morning everything was back to as it was before. Nothing changed. The reason why Breakfast Club was so great was because it gave us a glimpse of who people really are but never show in public
I'm a 90s baby and I just wish I could of been a teen in the 80s or 90s I literally belong there especially the music era. Oh how I envy all of those who got the chance to be teens during this time 😭
I am already some and a bit more, and I like many tunes from todays' lists but now and then I just enter some old school and let the system give me further tips. On the right side, U know. Just like today the first one was an accidental Robert Palmer Addicted to love :). And I ended up here :D. Cheers!
Do you still feel this way Elizabeth? I know a lot of people wish they were from earlier generations. I know I do in some ways. For me, the post WW2 (late40s/early 50s), even with Korea going on, would have been ideal for me. My parents graduated HS in 52&54, great time. That said, I'm a child of the 80s myself, my teen years were all in the 80s...and if I can't have the 50s, I'll take the 80s. I have zero regrets. I know America and Reagan weren't perfect, but sure was a great time to be a teen!
It's pretty interesting because when I was a kid in the 80s and teen in the 90s, I never wished that I grew up in any other generation but my own, and yes we did have many movies, books and TV series to show us what it was like in generations before mine. Kind of strange but, damn, is it really that bad to grow up now? The Internet / WWW is a great tool and it's probably the only thing I wish that I had as a kid or teen. Well, we did have WWW in the mid 1990s but not wifi, only dial up lol! And I'd go into AOL chat rooms a lot back then. :)
Elizabeth Lomeli Like anything in life it mirrored yin and yang. Meaning, it was the most exhilarating emotional experience of my life, and on the flip side the saddest most heartbreaking time of my life. I will never know highest joy and deepest loss as the 80's ever again...this is certain, it makes me smile with love and cry with regret. Never regret your timing. Remember there are always 2 sides of coin I see you as the lucky one, mesmerized by the illusion of 80's perfection, without the reality of its true colors.
Emilio: "So I'm an idiot because I get along with my parents" Judd: "You're an idiot anyway; If you say you get along with your parents, you're a liar too"
I thank God for many things and one of them is for being a teenager in the 80's. What a decade! The music, the movies... ohhh the nostalgia! I can't help to feel bad for today's generation, not because of what they experience now, but because of what they missed. This movie and others capture the zeitgeist of that decade. Viva the 80's forever!
This is why movies like this one are a great way for younger generations to see what a different decade was like. TBC is 10 years older than me. It is a generational thing, I think. I grew up with Dragon Tales, Caillou, Arthur, Teletubbies, Sesame Street, SpongeBob, and so much more from the '90s and early 2000s. When TV began to really suck ass I was introduced to classic tv. I am almost 20 now and was introduced to shows of my parent's generation aka "Pettycoat Junction, Bewitched, I Love Lucy, I Dream of Jeannie," etc in my mid to late teens. I absolutely love these shows, but it doesn't help that I have an obsession with the 1950s and '60s. But I love pretty much every decade from the 20th century for different reasons.
I was 15 when this movie came out. and it was life changing for me! it showed me I wasn't alone anymore. or rather there was no need for me to feel so isolated and "different" from everyone in the world anymore! it showed me, WE ARE ALL THE BREAKFAST CLUB OF LIFE! we are all special and unique, yet very much the same!!!! and that's so necessary to know! especially as a teenager. anyway, I am still 15 and I am 40! and my heart never died! don't anyone give up, or be anyone else than who you are!!! we are all made to be ourselves! and yet together with everyone else too!!! ~ Vincent
I was born three years after this film was made. I watched it in high school and in college. It's on my list of classics that I'll never stop watching.
My two teenagers adore all of the John Hughes movies, and they always laugh at Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles because they say that I look like Molly. Funny thing is that when I was a teen in the 80’s, everyone said I looked exactly like Molly. When I went to see Pretty in Pink in the theatre, someone in the audience shouted ‘look, it’s Molly’ when I walked in😂🤦♀️
the 80s were a great time to be a teen!! glad I was there for it! the movies, the music, no cel phones yet! we talked, we drank beer, we got drunk, we had a blast!
My husband turned me onto this movie when it first came out. Even though he has since passed on when I watch this movie it reminds me of him and the love we shared. Great memory!!
Yeah I know the year 2000 was a good year after 2000 there was 2001 and we all know what happened during that year and after 2001-2107 everything sucks now! I can't believe its been so long since The Breakfast Club was such a great movie back in 1985 and the movies, TV music the clothes were all great!
End of 2023 watching this. 'Oh cool, 25th anniversary of the Breakfast club. Love that film, let's watch this video...... wait..... 13 years ago????? How the hell.....???'
I was around 13 or 14 when the movie came out and now I work in a jr. high. I look at this movie much differently, now. Things have changed so much, yet teens today still go through the same agonizing angst-filled years that we did back then.
I can imagine your thoughts well. Same for me here in germany as a teacher and father of a 16 year old boy now. I was 16 when the movie came out and it matched my thoughts back then, especially benders rebellion style. So different today i'm on the other side haha life is strange.
the year was 1985, i was 20, and i had the world at my feet. every experience was fresh new and exciting. i was working as an aupair in amsterdam and this movie was a massive hit!! i loved it then and i still watch it now, from time time to time. st elmos fire also and about last night sixteen candles and pretty in pink. all are brilliant movies that spoke to a generation. xxxx long live the 80's!
I graduated in 1985 and I credit two films with having the most impact on me: The Breakfast Club and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't quote one, if not both of them.
I was exposed to The Breakfast Club my senior year in HS in 2013. I have loved it ever since. Fast Times is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen next to animal house.
Roy Batty taste?! Say Anything is a corny chick-flick, The Color Purple was an overrated bore, and Rain Man was more Hollywood cheese. You're the one with zero taste. Geez.
wasn't nothing to the interview. if you are going to do a 25 year anniversary on a movie at least make sure everyone could make it and do a better job interviewing the cast. get a host who connects with the 80's and loves the 80's would help not just another job to do/have.
jonjor1987 I agree, but the sad part is that if there really was interest in doing a reunion, it would have been better. I suspect that the low effort might be due to low interest.
Judd didn't turn out like his stage persona at all. Btw you give me hope for my generation. maybe there are girls my age who enjoy breakfast club after all
I love this movie and I wish the 25th anniversary was better that this. With a replica library like in the movie, Emilio there, better questions, and a better host.
I have to admit, It was a great period in time. Music, Films and a President who was a true leader, God rest his soul. He was a great guy who would not back down to any one. The music still can stir a persons soul to get up and dance. The 80's were really awesome.
Dan Milner Music was great in the 80's. I wasnt born in the 80's or a teen but sometimes I wish I was because it looked fun lol crazy fashion, upbeat music, the movies from the 80's. The first 80's movie I saw was The Breakfast Club.
1985 I was 17. Every morning during the summer I woke up to this movie and one of my best friends makeing me pancakes for breakfast then he and I would sit down and watch this. I think we wore out the VHS tape of it.Now shareing it with my15 yr. old daughter. Thank you John Grissom for all the movies that gave our parents some clue of what we where about, and let all of us know that "We are not alone"
She shoulda asked them how it feels that this movie still reaches, relates to, and is loved by, current generations. Timeless classic. I was so lucky to have seen it in theaters and on TV with those 2 or 3 deleted scenes. The commenting money for soda scene, the scene where Allison walks right up behind the principal in the hall while he was at the water fountain and they're was another one I can't remember
I’m so blessed to say that I lived in the 80’s and went to high school from 85-89. Best time of my life. And you younger kids, what you see in John Hughes movies, it was exactly like that during that time. Be a fan of the 80’s and 90’s.👍
Anthony Michael Hall had such a transformation. He played the pencil-neck geek back then, but after beefing up, he was able to play bully-type bad guys and jock.
I still can't believe he's the same person who played Winona Ryder's awful boyfriend in Edward Scissorhands. He looks completely different, I had no idea it was him.
One of my absolute favorite movies of all time. I was a junior in High School when this came out. The absolute perfect cast, and IMHO, the best John Hughes film of all time.
This makes me "homesick" for the 80s. The best time to come of age. I had a blast, and if anyone invents a time machine, I volunteer to give it the first go...send me back! I'm willing to stay my age! I don't need to be a teen again. I just want all our amazing cool trends and gadgets because every one of them we have today was because of that decade.
+Eden Everly Yeah, I would love to go back. Not sure I could cope without the internet now though. It was great at the time but not sure I could go back to only 4 channels on TV and my record player!
Ha ha, yea...4 channels with my dial t.v. and no remote. My town didn't get cable for a while because they wanted the wires underground and woldn't tear it up. Then my parents wouldn't get it so I had to spend every day at my friend's house after school to watch MTV. :) I'd be absolutely FINE without the internet. Did just fine then. Spent my time actually face to face with my friends, outside, riding horses. Good times!!!
The thing about the 80s is that things were new. Take vhs tape, its nothing compared to dvd or bluray or tv on demand but, it was new, we could watch a movie when we chose instead of when it was broadcast, that was new and amazing. Computers, nothing like the power of modern pc's or tablets but, we could play a video game at home, on our tv, not just at the arcade. Movies, I'm sure movies were better, no cgi but, better stories and actors. And Spielberg with his magic just made my childhood brilliant. yeah i miss them days too.
I agree, but it is definitely an adjustment when plopped into that "time warp" like situation. I went home to the small mid-west town where I grew up last weekend for four days for a funeral. The house I stayed at had NO internet, NO cable, 4 channels, NO signal on my cell AT ALL, no house phone because it is a vaca home, and I was at the mercy of those who had a car and would allow me to borrow their phone. The "back in time" feel of it was so obvious and really affected me, in a good way. We talked, we really spent time engaged with each other, we listened to TAPES... lol, and watched a few VHS tapes, it was as close to the eighties, the way I remember it, as possible. The fact that that little town DOES NOT CHANGE and the same people are there, made the "time warp" "back in time" feel even more real. Several of us mentioned it, and really appreciated the experience. I will say, hair styles... not missing or nostalgic about those "bangs" or "mulletts" at all. The clothes... yea, I am planning on digging into some of the boxes in my Mom's garage for anything I can find...
The best thing about that movie was the fact that they hated each other, but stuck together. They were from different backgrounds, different clicks, but they were all in there together and overcame their differences. IMHO, that's what made the movie great. I was 11 when Breakfast Club came out. My sister was 14. My parents took us to see it. I can still smell the theater and taste the Twizzlers. Theater of Pain came out soon after that. I'd love to go back in time.
Geezzzz! It's a bit more than 25 years later and I've just found this video! What an amazing group of people! What a most undeniably wonderful film. Thank you for this video!
The interview was too short, and the questions were stupid! What kind of vending snack is your favorite? C'mon!!!! There were so many other questions that could have been asked!
Brilliant teenager movie. Great to see these guys still being friends over the years. I was 12 when BFC went out. The French version were for sure a little different but the spirit was right there. I saw the movie (countless times) but with its original sound track years after and I rediscovered it somehow and I enjoyed it even more. Very inspiring as a teen back then and awesome memories as a 40er ! And Simple Minds "Don't You Forget About Me"... In my fav' playlist even since.
loved the movie, those young adults at the time didn't realize what they had created, they were instruments and they created a piece of time that is dear to us. The music, costumes, the iconic lines, do they realize they captured something wonderful? Except for Bueller's day off, there is no other movie that I can think of that matters from the 80's.
80s was the last decade before the internet mobile phones and all social media ALL kids lived in the MOMENT , no fake insta TikTok videos REAL life! Best time of my life! How the world has changed ! 80s we miss you!
I personally think this made everyone in my high school treat each other a little better, you still had the clicks and a few dispute's. We had 3000 kids in my high school and we all stood up for each other. I think the Class of "88 was the best group of people ever. Not just my high school but other's, I remember kids from another High School won a concert from some band and used the money from the sales to help a fellow student with cancer pay their hospital bills.
The 80s were a blast, and the last truly private and innocent decade in human history. No internet yet, barely any cable TV, you couldn't be sexually explicit or graphically violent on network TV, no school shootings, no cellphones, no video surveillance, celebrities didn't automatically sell out and become advertising conglomerates, Michael Jackson wasn't a freak yet or dead yet, and pop songs didn't have to have a relentless dance beat and always be about sex. I was born in 1967 which means I was a senior in high school when "The Breakfast Club" came out, and it changed my life, still one of my favorite movies. I love my cellphone and my iPod and obviously I use the internet, but we did just fine in the Eighties without all that stuff. The world was bigger and more mysterious then because you couldn't just zip over to England on Google Earth and you could only put one tape at a time in your Walkman, and somehow that made life more interesting. I don't know how, it just did.
I think its amazing that this movie can still change so many peoples lives I know it changed mine I'm only 16 years old but this movie changed my life and my perspective on things its a AMAZING movie and I cant stress enough how much it changed my life and the thing I like the most about it is I am exactly like every person in a way and I love the fact that I can relate to all of them
one of the best movies in the 80's that epitomized "teen angst", intelligently executed, humor and drama combined to create a memorable film for that generation and for others thereafter.............
The Breakfast Club was also my cult classic but I carn't seem to move on in year's, I am now 41 so you can imagine how old that film is to me. But when I feel down I watch it and it takes me back to when times were better than they are now. Ihave tried to get get my kid's & partner to watch it, but they are not interested, what a shame !!!!
I remember watching this as a 16 year old. Mind blowing date movie, lol - just awesome. Here we all are, decades later, as old fogeys, still trying to figure out life hahaha. Just some awesome lines and reflections/introspections to look back on.
You're in control over whether it does or not. I've seen a lot of comments about how it is true that your heart dies, but I am 43 (and of that generation which was in its late teens when the movie came out) and my heart hasn't died yet. I feel like the best is always yet to come.
This five ones can be hugely proud Breakfast Club remains the favorite movie of many people and god knows how many fantastic movies came out during this unique decade
Seeing Judd overweight, with glasses and in an ugly suit, with horrible posture, really put a damper on this for me. I suppose I wanted him to look as bad-ass as he was in the movie.
Michelle Pereira Yeah, he sure was both!. Andrew was definitely another 80's hottie (: I just love John Hughes movies so much despite having been born in the late 80s, lol.
I was 5 when this came out and kinda missed it while watching comedies, Eddie Murphy and Karate Kid. But watched it in my 30s lol. Now it's right up with Karate Kid, Coming to America, and Back to the Future.
Hughes was making movies like hot dogs back then one after another. He wrote the script of the breakfast club in one weekend with a huge thermos of coffee and got it done .
I was a senior in high school when the movie came out in theaters. Everyone in the Class of '85 went to see the movie. We chose "Don't You Forget About Me" as our class song.

No kidding.. huh.
It’s a great movie.
You're right! I graduated in 85
I’m still in high school but this is one of my favorite movies
Bender became nerdy and Brian became muscular
Yes, but Bender always was nerdy. I heard he was the opposite of the character he played.
It's weird because in real life Judd seems shy and quiet --- and Anthony seems like the crazy party animal

The 80s looked so fantastic, I wish I could time travel back to the 80s!
I was born too late!
NiranGs you wouldve loved it. Everything was so laid-back and fun back then.
It looks a lot better from this distance than it did up close. I was miserable in the eighties, but I'm still nostalgic.
Every year of the 80's was special in its own way, thats how great the 80's were

The best high-school movie of all time, no question. The degree of realism is stunning, and no matter how many times you watch it, it still looks and sounds fresh. And, my God, how beautiful Ally is, it is unbelievable.

+Elizabeth Lomeli
You'd be old now and be 50 years old. Why would you want to wish your life away.
Emilio: "So I'm an idiot because I get along with my parents"
Judd: "You're an idiot anyway; If you say you get along with your parents, you're a liar too"
Emilio was at a wrestling meet.
I heard he was taping Larry's Leicester's buns together
more like spreading them apart and digging in for dinner
Dude shut the fuck up you cringy moron.
~ Vincent
publicservant2009 if you were 15 when this movie came out you would be 44 yrs old now.
You know it was just a film , right?
Jeff Rice You replied to him 4 years later so yes
I was born three years after this film was made. I watched it in high school and in college. It's on my list of classics that I'll never stop watching.
CLASS OF 1986 RULES!!!!!!!!!!! MY FAVORITE TEEN MOVIE OF ALLLLLLLLL TIME. WHAT A GIFT TO HAVE LIVE THE 80'S AS A TEENAGER.
No way class of 87!!!
My favorite line was from Judd Nelson to Paul Gleason "Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?"
My two teenagers adore all of the John Hughes movies, and they always laugh at Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles because they say that I look like Molly. Funny thing is that when I was a teen in the 80’s, everyone said I looked exactly like Molly. When I went to see Pretty in Pink in the theatre, someone in the audience shouted ‘look, it’s Molly’ when I walked in😂🤦♀️
That must've been fun! Do you have a social media page online or something where we can see?
it will be 30 years next year....One of my favs growing up....I will literally stop what I'm doing and watch it whenever it comes in....
What a phenomenal movie with a great cast of young actors.
Hard to believe less than twenty years from now it will be the fiftieth anniversary, as this video is already very old.
3:33
Where's Emelio?
This comment itself is already old 🥲
I wish I could stop time
the 80s were a great time to be a teen!! glad I was there for it! the movies, the music, no cel phones yet! we talked, we drank beer, we got drunk, we had a blast!
John T Yep, born in 1969 here. Best years of my life
*****
true, life was much simpler. I'd go back in a heartbeat
+Tony That is the truth! Love love love the 80's! Our movies, our music, unbelievable! Best memories of my life!
technology is the thing now, get over it.
My favorite line from the movie:
"Could you describe the ruckus?"
My husband turned me onto this movie when it first came out. Even though he has since passed on when I watch this movie it reminds me of him and the love we shared. Great memory!!
I wish it was the eighties now it sucks in the 2000s.
Let's suicide together and we can go to another time
Richard Dendall 2000's,um,do u know what generation you in right now? you need help
Yeah I know the year 2000 was a good year after 2000 there was 2001 and we all know what happened during that year and after 2001-2107 everything sucks now! I can't believe its been so long since The Breakfast Club was such a great movie back in 1985 and the movies, TV music the clothes were all great!
+Angel Simone I'm the rebel nerd.
Ask Doc Brown to send you in 1985.
Same angst, but unfortunately with school shooting and sexting thrown in.
I was born in the 2000s and my parents always showed me old music and movie. It was like heaven for me :D
I graduated high-school the year this came out. I identified with this show a lot.
the year was 1985, i was 20, and i had the world at my feet. every experience was fresh new and exciting. i was working as an aupair in amsterdam and this movie was a massive hit!! i loved it then and i still watch it now, from time time to time. st elmos fire also and about last night sixteen candles and pretty in pink. all are brilliant movies that spoke to a generation. xxxx long live the 80's!
I graduated in 1985 and I credit two films with having the most impact on me: The Breakfast Club and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't quote one, if not both of them.
Fucking idiot. Have some taste. What about Say Anything, The Color Purple, Rain Man?
I was exposed to The Breakfast Club my senior year in HS in 2013. I have loved it ever since. Fast Times is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen next to animal house.
Roy Batty taste?! Say Anything is a corny chick-flick, The Color Purple was an overrated bore, and Rain Man was more Hollywood cheese. You're the one with zero taste. Geez.
robken0174 Rain Man is a classic, what are you talking about?
Hey bud lets party!
All I need are tasty waves and cool buds
Its a shame these movies and musicians from the 80's can never be replaced!!
I miss growing up into your own movies like this! Man! I miss the 80's! Music and all!
me too!
Brings back only positive memories of childhood entertainment..
I graduated in "84" so many movies and songs came out in that ERA...and watching it now...brings oh so many memories...
I have so much love for this movie...I feel like this interview was a bit of a waste of time though, they could have asked much better questions.
wasn't nothing to the interview. if you are going to do a 25 year anniversary on a movie at least make sure everyone could make it and do a better job interviewing the cast. get a host who connects with the 80's and loves the 80's would help not just another job to do/have.
jonjor1987 I agree, but the sad part is that if there really was interest in doing a reunion, it would have been better. I suspect that the low effort might be due to low interest.
Brian Merritt true. possibly or maybe it's the money for them to take the time to get together and do something like this.
Judd didn't turn out like his stage persona at all.
Btw you give me hope for my generation. maybe there are girls my age who enjoy breakfast club after all
absolutely that reporter really wasted a great opportunity.
I love this movie and I wish the 25th anniversary was better that this. With a replica library like in the movie, Emilio there, better questions, and a better host.
totally agree.
You speak the truth!
Yes, I agree. Pretty shit interview
This is easily one of my favorite movies of the '80s. John Hughes so got the youth angst back then.
This movie, definitely changed my life....
There was a tie between 2 lines that were my favorite. 'Can you describe the ruckas??" and "Did I stutter??"
How come Andrew gets up?
If he gets up, we get up, it'll be anarchy!
@J Wil That one and so many more gems in BC.
I turned 13 in 1985 and this movie was perfect and timeless for teenagers.
My mom turned 13 in 1985! She had me 17 years later...
It's awesome that the Madness "One Step Beyond" move was acknowledged
Holy shit. I couldn't even tell that was Judd. It was nice seeing him though because I haven't seen in in anything lately.
Meryssa Plentz he's 10 years older than the rest. Makes a big difference.
Born in 88 but this movie is a life altering experience tbh, I love it!
The MOST iconic 80's movie that I could watch infinitely non stop!
i love the breakfast club soooo much! it's such an iconic movie and it's amazing!!!
Eden Everly The only thing I use the Internet for is youtube. But I don't know if I could go back to life before youtube!
Everyone wants to go back in time
It was a great era
A classic film that'll always be remembered.
Great song by Simple Minds, good actors and clever screenplay for an iconic film.
The year this movie was released was the year I was born. For me this is the coolest teen themed movie ever made. :) 80's the coolest decade ever! :)
My favorite line on The Breakfast Club.......... "Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe???"
I missed this movie in the 80s and only got to see it a few yrs ago. I'm glad I waited because I think I appreciate it more now.
loved the movie, those young adults at the time didn't realize what they had created, they were instruments and they created a piece of time that is dear to us.
Wow. ... amazing how things were back in the Day, not too Long ago but the Nostalgia gives me Chills.
: )
I freaking love the 80s there is just nothing like it my god I wish I was born around that time it just looked so fun!!!
Well the 80s were no fun 4 me.... I was physically abused as fuck! .... they call it 80s tough love!
Bruce Jackson very well said Bruce!
the 80's was and still is the best decade/genre ever. long live the 80's always and forever.
Bruce Jackson you said it man. I truly miss the 80's, especially when 1990 came around.
I met Anthony Michael Hall in 2011......what a nice human being!!
Ally Sheedy looks FANTASTIC!!
I will never forget this movie
Great reunion. Missing emilio to complete the pack. Classic teen movie that every generation can adore
Wait a sec...the one on the left is Judd?
I’m obsessed with all these old good movies 😍
I think its amazing that this movie can still change so many peoples lives I know it changed mine I'm only 16 years old but this movie changed my life and my perspective on things its a AMAZING movie and I cant stress enough how much it changed my life and the thing I like the most about it is I am exactly like every person in a way and I love the fact that I can relate to all of them
one of the best movies in the 80's that epitomized "teen angst", intelligently executed, humor and drama combined to create a memorable film for that generation and for others thereafter.............
I was born in '97 and man, this movie changed my life. It's still so relatable.
M - M - Molly, Molly, Molly.....Ha-ha, when she said " Does it have to be mine? " I recognize her voice and play - It's her alright 100%
I remember watching this as a 16 year old. Mind blowing date movie, lol - just awesome. Here we all are, decades later, as old fogeys, still trying to figure out life hahaha. Just some awesome lines and reflections/introspections to look back on.
I'm only 17 but even seeing this makes me happy I love that movie so much
You're in control over whether it does or not. I've seen a lot of comments about how it is true that your heart dies, but I am 43 (and of that generation which was in its late teens when the movie came out) and my heart hasn't died yet. I feel like the best is always yet to come.
Ally & Molly look just as beautiful 25 years later!
+Patrick Clothier Ironic, isn't it?
This five ones can be hugely proud Breakfast Club remains the favorite movie of many people and god knows how many fantastic movies came out during this unique decade
Seeing Judd overweight, with glasses and in an ugly suit, with horrible posture, really put a damper on this for me. I suppose I wanted him to look as bad-ass as he was in the movie.
I was expecting Bender too, lol.
MJYB5888 Lol me too!
Michelle Pereira
Yeah, saying 'eat my shorts' to everything, lmao. No but really, I've got the biggest crush on him as Bender *sigh*
MJYB5888 He was definitely a hottie. So funny too lol. My 80's crush was Andrew McCarthy, especially in Pretty in Pink :)
Michelle Pereira
Yeah, he sure was both!. Andrew was definitely another 80's hottie (: I just love John Hughes movies so much despite having been born in the late 80s, lol.
My friends and I in media arts class recreated the whole dance!!! 😂😂😂 it was fun
I still to this day want to be able to do that Molly Ringwald dance lol.
rageyb From a male it looks cool and sexy. Especially in boots 👍
Favorite line for me is from John-“What can I say...I’m thrilled!”
lol 😆
Thats nice, I always think about them and how their doing whenever i watch the movie.
Totally iconic movie. Influenced generations.
" sir...does barry manilow know you been raiding his closet "...lol
I was a year old when this movie came out, I believe I first watched it in High School in psychology class and fell in love with the movie.
I love u Breakfast club .
I was 5 when this came out and kinda missed it while watching comedies, Eddie Murphy and Karate Kid. But watched it in my 30s lol. Now it's right up with Karate Kid, Coming to America, and Back to the Future.
Two-Bit couldn’t make it b/c Dally had already scheduled a rumble for that time and he couldn’t get out of it. ;)
Plus, pony was sick.
No.Chavez stole the pony!Talking about some spirit world!
JellicleKat stay gold
JellicleKat stay gold
naw it's cause Cherry was giving him the bird.
Hughes was making movies like hot dogs back then one after another. He wrote the script of the breakfast club in one weekend with a huge thermos of coffee and got it done .
Loved that Movie still do..
This movie and song it makes me feel longing, sadness, and immense joy, all at the same time. I too miss the 80s.
