Her most difficult song, so difficult that she will not sing it anymore. The inspirations are so short.
Here's an interesting fact. Officially checked out from Sohyang, she said that one of the most technically difficult among her all rendition is Arirang Alone. Everyone was the hard for her to arrange it but not more difficult compared to Arirang Alone.

Epic!!! Arguably the most technically challenging and emotional song she has ever sang. Seven minutes of intense stamina and breath control. If you want to see an amazing duet she's done, you absolutely have to see her duet with Min Woo Hyeok for the song Wild Flower. Absolutely gorgeous!
Next song from Sohyang sing "I have nothing" on DMC festival.
She has a gorgeous cover of Misty from Begin Again Korea and also raps in Day, Day from the same series. Gospel, CCM, Jazz, Rap, Rock, Pop...doesn't faze her. Her recent Duet "The Star" with Petra is beyond beautiful.
In her interviews she has mentioned that this was the most difficult song she has ever done. I don't know any other performance of it but the Vimeo version has full english subtitles. I enjoy your analysis of technical aspects but my oppinion is that the unique power of this particular artist is the amount of feelings she conveys trough her singing and her arrangements. I agree that this can not be measured but I feel it in every aspect of her craft.

I agree with you, she seems to always bring the vocal beast part of her in almost every song (there are a few songs that do not require it, and she abides--like 'Misty' from the Begin Again Concerts, where she just melts everyone with the purity of her voice). What makes this song different, to her anyway, she has said it was by far the toughest for her because of the amount of belting in seven minutes. "I Have Nothing' from the DMC Festival is another otherworldly song (in English). There are a plethora of songs in both English and Korean where she displays all of her talents. Thanks for the great reaction. So much fun to hear from a pro about a pro.
I agree - I think it’s because most of her performances that come up on RUclips are from Immortal Songs or other shows that are all about audience appeal - whether that be through emotional or technical (or both) appeal. I’d definitely be curious about her non-performance singing, like if she is leading a Sunday worship sing-along or something
That's because her more famous performances such as Lean on Me, Arirang Alone, Everyone, BOTW were all sung on a TV show that has a highly competitive format. Most of the performers on that show go all out.

The thing with this song is 1. Crazy long to maintain that belting without the tiniest bit of strain or fatigue on the voice and 2. The lyrics. It hits hard. I'd recommend listening through again with subtitles. Beyond being crazy vocally talented, she's also an incredible entertainer with a transcendent ability to connect with her audience. I'm far from a person of faith. About as far as you could be. But I'd walk into any church she was singing in and just be captivated. I can understand how she feels through her song.
If you want to see what else she can do, check out her rapping in "Day Day" (yeah she raps 😁) or the absolute beautifully stripped down performance of "Misty". Or if you want more belting, listen to her take Whitney's "I Have Nothing" to another level.

You have to consider the time this song lasts compared to other two you have already listen, it took a pile of stamina from this little woman! That's why its the most impressive. However, my favorite song from her is Mona Lisa and of course, lean on Me. Have fun, more insane stuff for you to listen. Thx!
Also since she has so many, it might be funny and easy enough to record yourself watching her sing "Dream" and cutting out a "short" for the finale of that song lol.

The amazing thing about this performance is the musicality. It's not just about being able to do those things with her voice, but her music talent is astounding, some of those scales she used in some runs and jazzy (hard)chord progressions on the background are absolute perfection. She's always on pitch, she understands the music she's singing.

I think you would really enjoy reacting to Sohyang in a duet. She performs the song "Wildflower" with male vocalist Min Woohyuk. It's amazing! And something different, as you will get to hear the back and forth, the harmonies, and also get to react to a male Korean vocalist. Thanks for considering! I have just watched all of your Sohyang reactions and I really enjoyed them!
This is the biggest display of her stamina. But other than that, I agree, this is equally good to her other performances. What she does with “you raise me up“ and “bridge over troubled water”, are just works of magic. She absolutely transformed those songs. This one too, if you hear other singers sing it. But since I wasn’t as familiar with it, I can’t be as blown away in that sense in terms of how she changed the arrangement. But it was still an amazing feat as well!
I think the endurance is the plus factor for this particular performance over the other two.
Gotta hear her do “I Have Nothing” ……just hard to believe. She and Dimash are the most talented vocal artists I have ever heard. But, even more than that, there is absolutely no space between their art and their heart. Totally sincere and we feel it. Tks for this reaction.

One more comment about masked singer stuff. It's all a lot different. Same with Misty from begin again korea. Jazz. Pure bliss. For me most of her magic isn't even in the belting stuff. I barely make myself click Bridge or Everyone. Arirang is good. But if you want stuff you'd casually probably want to replay to yourself... you want Breathe and Home from masked singer and Misty from begin again korea. Mona Lisa masked singer is fun rock with big mixes. Day Day from the masked singer...if you don't even care for rap... she actually makes you lol. All those and Fate from I am singer get all my constant replays and I've now watched most of them.

Thank you for your reaction video :).. to the best of my knowledge, this song is originally a gospel song by a legend Bokhee Yoon.. to summarize the lyrics in English, especially the reff "I am your brother, I am your friend, I am your everlasting song".. and the talking part could mean "If I am lonely, who would accompany me? Of course, everyone (yeorobun in Korean).. I hope this add more feeling in your listening and enjoying this reaction and beautiful piece :)

Hey Peter, I agree with you as far as this one being as equally impressive as Arirang Alone & Bridge Over Troubled Water but not more so. There are too many great renditions of SoHyang’s, but might I suggest a song most people overlook and that is “Misty”! Her pitch and control are out of this world. It showcases SoHyang stripped down vocals and delivering pure vocal perfection.
