Honestly with all the great bands on this list I still think Pantera is one of the best bands out there every time I hear one of the riffs it just amazes me they are so good I just love the sound of Pantera
@@stefanba2029 oh men meshuggah is great they go way back 1990s when slayer pantera all around i guess they were all building up their heavy arsenal , they are the pros here so we all have to be fair to bands whether they are glam rock ..the swedish ones sure had that pre-black metalish sounds that were Dimebag knows his rig well thats why \m/
I love hearing those cool stories about Dime. I met him outside The Troc in Philly in 1991. They were touring with Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus. He was just hanging outside the bus, and I just walked over to get to sign my “CFH” CD, and man who was such incredibly gracious guy. I told him that I absolutely love the album and couldn’t wait to hear more from them. He absolutely loved the fans, there can never be a doubt of that. It’s true about him always carrying a sharpie with him. He signed it and asked me about the current setlist and I said to him, don’t change a thing, it’s perfect. I saw them every time they would come through the tristate area. I met him every time Pantera would play. I could never say enough great and cool things about him. I love and respect him, because he’s a legend, and legends truly live forever. Love ya, DIME!
I saw Pantera, Biohazard, and Sepultura live in the summer of 94, one of the best shows I've ever seen...so it was nostalgic when you started with Pantera vs Biohazard...entertaining vid!
It's amazing how with every Pantera album from Cowboys on has a different feel and vibe and for me personally each album puts me is in a different mood.. The KINGS! Long live Pantera! 🤘
He looks similar to Burton C. Bell I just noticed that when he played some Fear Factory. Anyways Dime is my hometown hero. It blew my mind when I was 5yrs old and CFH came out. My mother used to go to their local shows. She played that for me and told me they were from the Metroplex. She got me every album the day they were released and took me to 2 shows. Even ran into Dime one time in Arlington back in the summer of 03. He signed my GSTK cd for me. Coolest rock star ever. Was very approachable and had that sharpie on the ready. Assuming he never left home without it. I was so nervous though I didn't want to bother him, considering he was actually chilling all by himself. He was the one that saw my friends and I looking at him. He waved us over and asked said don't be scared I know you boys want an autograph I was like be right back and ran to my friends Suburban. Fortunately I had my Cds with me and grabbed the first Pantera cd I could find. He was the best, fucking bullshit how he was murdered. Life just isn't fair..anyways kick ass job as usual.
These kind of memories are great. I remember doing the same thing with Devin Townsend and his band at an SYL show during the same time. I go to a lot of underground shows now and meet up with the bands after the show, but nothing beats being a fan in your childhood and getting to shake hands with those you look up to.
My favorite metal band ever is the Cavalera Septultra era but man Dimebag is the absolute riff master. Every album PanterA released was absolutely flawless.
Still a fan of Arise and Beneath the remains. And I have all Pantera records, because you have to. But old Sepultura - gives me more than Pantera. And more than Slayer.
@@Aquarius999FJS Absolutely. Musically I liked Slayer for what they were but I never REALLY got in to them like I did Sepultura, Pantera, and Megadeth. With that being said, Sepultura were the first death metal/thrash band that I really got in to.

The magic that was Pantera, is Vinnie and Dime are brothers that knew exactly what each other's timing was and will be. You know their jammin' out with the highest choir of Angels. Rest in power Abbott Bros.

Dime was one if not the greatest metal guitarist of all time. But without Rex Brown Pantera would not have been as good.
