I love hearing those cool stories about Dime. I met him outside The Troc in Philly in 1991. They were touring with Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus. He was just hanging outside the bus, and I just walked over to get to sign my “CFH” CD, and man who was such incredibly gracious guy. I told him that I absolutely love the album and couldn’t wait to hear more from them. He absolutely loved the fans, there can never be a doubt of that. It’s true about him always carrying a sharpie with him. He signed it and asked me about the current setlist and I said to him, don’t change a thing, it’s perfect. I saw them every time they would come through the tristate area. I met him every time Pantera would play. I could never say enough great and cool things about him. I love and respect him, because he’s a legend, and legends truly live forever. Love ya, DIME!

He looks similar to Burton C. Bell I just noticed that when he played some Fear Factory. Anyways Dime is my hometown hero. It blew my mind when I was 5yrs old and CFH came out. My mother used to go to their local shows. She played that for me and told me they were from the Metroplex. She got me every album the day they were released and took me to 2 shows. Even ran into Dime one time in Arlington back in the summer of 03. He signed my GSTK cd for me. Coolest rock star ever. Was very approachable and had that sharpie on the ready. Assuming he never left home without it. I was so nervous though I didn't want to bother him, considering he was actually chilling all by himself. He was the one that saw my friends and I looking at him. He waved us over and asked said don't be scared I know you boys want an autograph I was like be right back and ran to my friends Suburban. Fortunately I had my Cds with me and grabbed the first Pantera cd I could find. He was the best, fucking bullshit how he was murdered. Life just isn't fair..anyways kick ass job as usual.

These kind of memories are great. I remember doing the same thing with Devin Townsend and his band at an SYL show during the same time. I go to a lot of underground shows now and meet up with the bands after the show, but nothing beats being a fan in your childhood and getting to shake hands with those you look up to.

@@ChickenJoe-tq6xd I was just about to mention Rex Brown was an integral part of the sound and is often overlooked since the Abbott bros. were just amazing. But Rex's lines during a lot of Dime's solos don't get the credit they deserve because once again Dime is stealing the show. As he should. Dime was one if not the greatest metal guitarist of all time. But without Rex Brown Pantera would not have been as good.

@@KM-sr71 That Exhorder nonsense needs to die a slow death. They had that sound before Exhorder.

Beg to Differ is one of my all time faves. Prong was amazing. Thank you for reminding me of that.

It’s really incredible the depth of his playing if you listen to all their albums. CFH is still a personal favorite of mine but the complexity of some of the solos + riffs in their later albums can’t be understated. He was really a creative genius and the driving energy of PanterA.

Fk yeah!!!! Epic video dude! I was thinking there would be no far beyond driven content then bam. Including Grip inc. was the deal breaker for me, I was actually glad Dave left Slayer because we got Grip inc who has been one of the most important bands of my life! Sepultura also among my top ten, burn my eyes being one of the best debut albums ever and even prong made it in, instant fkng classic video bro! You wrote me not to worry about this vid but I wasn't expecting "but not surprised" such a killer vid, Fear Factory, too much positive stuff for me to write man, great fkng job!!

For a guy who seldom listens to metal I'm familiar with a surprising number of metal bands. Probably more than punk bands, but punk bands aren't usually as long lived or musically skilled as metal bands.
    Dig this!

Pretty good! Wish we could’ve gotten some Testament, Black Label Society, Five Finger Death Punch, Soulfly, and White Zombie in here, but other than that, this was awesome!
    Keep on rocking!🤘
